There’s no way I can sing along to the beginning, especially with a crowd singing along, without crying
Before this, Mike sang One More Light. It's just impossible to not be in tears at this point of the concert
I can only imagine how incredibly difficult it must be for the band to be up on that stage without Chester...gone but never forgotten. Thank you for the amazing music. We love and miss you every day!!!

Nah not really. Very shaky voice. At first I thought he was crying or something but he wwasn't. Mike's one of the best rappers, but not a very good singer as most rappers are.

I think Mike's singing at the beginning is perfect. Is it "pitch" perfect? No, but damn it's affecting.
Fun fact: In almost all of the Waiting For The End live performances, it started always with the third rap verse of Until it Breaks.
They had Chester's back up vocals right after Mike's second rap. I've heard other live versions they did this on when Chester was alive.
They’ve always had those backing vocals since they first started to perform the song live.

That was Steve Mackellar, not Chester. That old audio didn't have nothing of Chester too, that was Steve.

That's because she wasn't trying to sound like chester. She just sang it in her style. A lot of the other guests were trying to sing like Chester, only to prove that no one can sing like him. Also, this particular song is one of their more pop sounding songs so it didn't have a lot Chester's unique vocal capabilities like his screams.
For me the best was Ryan Key! Though she is a very close second!

Agree, it really irritated me. It was McKeller I really wanted to see and the person filming just failed at including everyone.
Really? Seems pretty obvious to me. Cause he wasn't the "star" of the song, he was a backup singer. Why would he be the focus of the camera when he's not the focus of the song?
If you notice, Mike gave Sydney a full intro but just welcomed Steven back - cause he'd already been on the show and had his own song to be the "featured" guest, where he WAS on camera more than anybody else, including the members of LP. This song wasn't about featuring him, it was about featuring her, and he was there to sing backup - that's why he moved his mic stand further away where he'd be out of the main focal point, why she was the one to greet and say goodnight to the crowd, why she was front and center and moved around the stage, while he was further back and stayed put.... the whole thing said "this is her and Mike's performance, and he's support." So why would the camera focus on the support player instead of the two that were clearly the focus?
Rewatching this Sydney and Steven absolutely killed it notice how they started to harmonize together and towards the end everyone was in sync. Chester would be so proud.

I love the dudes voice, and I love that Chester, the guy that a lot of us look at as the absolute top notch vocalist heard this guy and said " yeah, I like that, that's good " that's gotta be a huge honor to know chester thought you sung well.

Para Mike Shinoda y la banda en general tuvo que ser difícil hacer este concierto apenas 2 meses después de la muerte de Chester. Cualquiera que se subiera a ese escenario a cantar las partes de Chester, por muy buenos cantantes que sean, no pueden remplazar a Chester. A mi esta chica no me trasmite nada con esa voz tan genérica. Pero bueno es bonito ver que colaboraron en esto.
Nadie estuvo ahí para intentar reemplazar a Chester, sólo fue un concierto tributo, no por nada aún no se han reunido formalmente cómo Linkin Park desde ese concierto ni han intentado buscar a otro cantante.
