  • Today in this video we will show you how to disassemble and reassemble your Whirlpool Dryer model #WED5100HW to fix the heating element.
Here is the exact heating element replacement part that I purchased on Amazon:
    amzn.to/3YrgnKK
(Be sure to check for the coupon on the listing)
    Fun Fact:
Together we've saved 55 dryers (according to elements ordered) - Will yours be next?
55 Dryers X $854 (on whirlpool website) for a new dryer [estimate] = Saved $46,970

I rarely comment, but this video saved hours of time and having someone come out and fix our dryer. I followed this step by step, replaced the heating element and the dryer is working again.
There was zero chance of fixing this without having this post. Much appreciated.

Got the part and was able to easily replace it with these instructions. Dryer is working fantastic. Thank you for taking the time to recognize you were likely not the only person with this issue. Thanks for creating this video. I have the same dryer and mine is not heating. So probably I have the same issue. Where did you get your heating element?

@tomcrutchfield2999 You are welcome. It happens so suddenly! We picked up the element on Amazon for less than $20. As far as putting the heating assembly back, there isn't enough slack in the wires to connect before putting it back in the dryer. Here's where you can find the part: bit.ly/whirlpoolheatingelement
