Barry “the lead singer” was HOT, and the king of falsetto!
Connie Hunley I am so jealous! He always seems genuinely to be a good guy.
Really, i thought that was Andy.... my bad.
Stylez Beast Mode uh I’m a HUGE Prince fan and yes he sang falsetto and he’s a genius. My opinion of Barry being the king of falsetto not only stems from the fact he can do it well, but he does it with vibrato. I never said Prince couldn’t sang, but it’s my personal opinion. Wow didn’t expect a slap down and definitely not making it a race thing over who sings better. Let’s be cool with our comments.
You know I think if you took all four Gibbs brothers and take their hair off they all look the same
Still is.
Not sure how ppl even today havent heard this song...
First time reacting to the song, not first time hearing it. Plus we ALL have to hear something for the first time!!
Lol , for sure I know what you mean
@ted ritola Right on
That's the beauty of it!
@@geni2906 good point
I can ‘see’ John Travolta strutting
Yesss!!!
Yes!!!
With a paint can and a slice!
Absolutely!
One of the best movies ever
And isn't that one of the happiest bass lines ever?
I think the guitar riff is a little more memorable than the bass in this one.
Absolutely, and it was played by Maurice Gibb :)
This song makes me happy 😊
@@burtreynolds2969 What we call the bass line is not very memorable. But we call it the bass line because its played by the bass. But the guitar riff is actually playing in the bass register and the bass is playing in the contrabass register.
So from an instrumentalist point of view it's a guitar riff but from an avarage person and from a technical point of view it's a bass line.
Also try Village people's - YMCA in de same division.. 👍
Back in the the day, Barry was considered a "stone cold fox!" He's a great looking grandpa too. Too bad his three younger brothers have passed already.
I was once told I look I could be a Bee Gee and I wasn't sure if it was a compliment or an insult
yeah, my mom was in her 40's when I was 6-7 when this song came out, she had a major crush on Barry Gibb and it pissed my father right off!!!
Not to mention probably the greatest singer / songwriter of all time. Talent, Swag and Looks, not a bad combination.
Barry Gibb had the best hair of that era.
@@ckobo84 amazing producer, too!
Never met a woman who didn't swoon over Barry Gibb.
andy too
Can confirm. My mom was a swoonee.
I had a crush on Robin. All the Gibb brothers were good looking but Robin was my favorite.
@@ragtagarmy8428 Andy was a mini Barry. Theres a video of Andy singing Words and its shocking how much he looks like a young Barry. Its sad that Andy got into drugs and passed away. We know exactly how he would have looked when he got to 75.
I’m swooning to this day.
It is physically impossible to not move when this song plays.
Correct.
I only hear it when driving. How I haven't had an accident yet is a miracle.
I Remember when this song would play in every roller skating rink across the country.. .. Also the DISCO. Halls.. 💃
Yes think I skated a few 100x to it
I get two images in my mind whenever I hear this.
1:John Travolta walking in beat carrying paint cans.
2: John Travolta in his white suit dancing in the night club.
ABSOLUTELY! I try to recommend that movie to them all!
I used to, until I saw Airplane/Flying High 😂😂😂
I had a crush on Barry way back when...that hair!😉 Your face absolutely lit up... keep it up, girl!🥰❤️😊
Barry Gibb melts my heart. Love that man!
Hard to overstate how popular this song and that whole album was. It was EVERYWHERE. Even as a rock n roll fan not looking for disco at all, you'd still hear it everywhere.
agree...it is one of the most iconic songs ever to exist
All this from 3 brothers from the Isle of Man
Three brothers who voices blend to perfection!
“Jive Talkin” and “Night Fever” please India- ❤️💛✌️
Yes! Jive Talkin', LOL!
I love that song "Jive Talkin."
"If I Can't Have You"
Your new boyfriend, Barry Gibb- As a songwriter, he shares with John Lennon and Paul McCartney the record for consecutive Hot 100 number ones, each having six. In total, he has written or co-written sixteen Billboard Hot 100 number ones. Guinness World Records lists Gibb as the second most successful songwriter in history, behind Paul McCartney.
Remember this beat! It's perfect for CPR chest compressions. Just remember, "Stayin' Alive"!
Fun Fact: Same as Highway to Hell 😈
I was just going to point that out.
Ironic
l learned that on Grey's Anatomy
The local urgent care clinic had this printed up on fridge magnets and distributed in little bags that they hung on everybody's door in the area.
Bee Gees "Alone" "Still Waters" "Jive Talkin" "Tragedy" "How Deep is Your Love" "You Win Again" "One" "Nights on Broadway " "To Love Somebody " "I Can't See Nobody "
"Chain reaction" Diana Ross
More Bee Gees - How do you mend a broken heart (Al Green); In the morning (Nina Simone)
I'm with ya , " Still Waters "
History Check: The subject matter of 'Stayin' Alive' is about survival in the streets of New York inspired by the Nic Cohn paperback Tribal Rites of the Saturday Night who was the plot for the classic Saturday Night Fever Movie. Since 1977 it is now the biggest single from them with 31 times platinum status worldwide 😱 , passed Night Fever six years ago. 👍
It is claimed from in a survey of all radiostations around the globe as most airplayed song of all time in 2017- every 20 seconds - this plays everywhere around the world and for sure it is the most iconic song of the 70´s decade. 🍾
It’s a part of our shared cultural heritage now - one of those pop miracles that just never gets old, never wears off, never loses its charge. It remains alive. And indeed one of the most covered pop songs in history
This epic video was filmed on MGM Studios in Culver City in Hollywood California in the filmset ruins of That’s Entertainment starring Fred Astaire from 1974 during the same time when the BeeGees filming the Beatles movie, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1978 on the lot at the same time.
THats interesting..im all for being educated...fk me...you do know the eyes get tired reading...your post is educational but a fkn bore...plse dont post agan...your an idiot.. 10 out of 10 but fkn boring..thanks
It was originally published as a supposedly factual magazine article. He later admitted it was all fiction as he'd only just moved to NY from London.

Jees..your a wealth of knowledge...do me a favour...shut it....im trying to enjoy music not cut it into algorithms. Get it?
No it isnt...its about 4 guys creating a tune ..but you wouldnt know that..your a complete arsehole..
Is there a tune your fond of mr no friend's?
Why dont you shut your yap..ffs.you are simpleton...your rhetoric goes where it belongs...in the shit bin...fk off ya knob...
From the unforgettable opening scenes in Saturday Night Fever .... Strut your stuff down the street to this number, no problem ! John Travolta in his Pomp 😊🕺
Yes, yes, yes!!!
Funny that this is considered the ultimate disco dancing song. Yet this was the one song in the movie there was no disco dancing scene involved with.
Who hasn't propped up their neck collars and strutted around while listening to this song, huh??
Sammy Lane 🙋🏽♂️
Umm me !?? Never in life have I seen that movie or heard a song that I said I never heard 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Still do
@@OhMyGoshIndia It's just a little mind-boggling because this is one of the most widely known songs on earth -- it has been used in countless commercials, TV shows, films. Everyone knows this beat even if they've never seen Saturday Night Fever. IJS
It's the law.
Please do a reaction to "How Deep is Your Love" and/or "More Than a Woman" by the Bee Gees. I think you would like both of those songs. Barry is the lead singer and the oldest brother. He is the only surviving Bee Gee.
@Faqyur Ma'ama OK, thanks. I searched her site before commenting, but I didn't find it. I missed hearing her say it during the reaction video.
His voice is everything ❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Search for Saturday Night Fever. Height of the disco era and the BeeGees were the Kings.
I beg reaction channels to watch the movie-
When we were listening and dancing to this classic back in the day maybe we couldn’t appreciate the sublime quality of the Brothers Gibb but when you get to your more mature years like myself now 63 you soon realise that these guys were fantastic singer/songwriters. Long live the Bee Gees.
I have theory that he is an alien and his voice has special frequency that makes us instanstly happy 😊 and healthy.
Nights on Broadway is one of their best!
Impossible challenge try to walking normally down the street while listening to this.
Songs performed by DIANA ANKUDINOVA are all live! She lives every story of the song by herself and through her feelings shakes our hearts!!! We rejoice in the light as children or our soul is squeezed by sadness! Diana left no one indifferent...no one!!!=))) Diana's tone gives the audience goosebumps!!! It's like a diamond with its own hue!!!=))))))))))
Honestly ,you cant go wrong with the Bee Gees! They had so many beautiful songs xxx
LMAO!!! You are in Love with The Bee Gees like the rest of us back in the day!!!! You are in Love with Barry Gibb......Hahahaha...lol.....hahaha....
What female isnt in love with Barry he is the most sexy and handsome man walking...even today🔥🔥🔥💞💞💞
ua-cam.com/video/9ZEURntrQOg/v-deo.html(audio) "Happy Together," by The Turtles who one of the biggest Rock n Roll of the 60's Very Pop!!! Check Them out!!!!
Barry....DNA JACKPOT!!!🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙
CPR rythm! "First I was afraid, I was petrified..."
That's Gloria Gaynor! But probably just as good!!!
Another CPR rhythm. Another One Bites The Dust.
Because I learned CPR from French firefighters it was this song. Easier lyrics to remember 😊
@@frankiecamacho8739 I first learnt that one... People tend to raise objections to you sing it when you really are doing compressions, for some reason ;)
@@limacnaughton3352 XD
This has been my Jam since 1977
I am 49, but Stayin Alive is a song that gets my blood pumping 24/7
I was lucky enough to experience this song through Saturday Night Fever, John Travolta's famous Strut during the opening credits of the film
In theaters the RATED R version at age 6. If you haven't seen Sat Nite Fever I suggest you check it out!!!
Yes, I’m 49 too- I could have written exactly the same you did! ✌️
That's the rhythm kept when doing chest compressions on a victim. Stayin Alive; Stayin Alive; Huff Huff Huff Huff; Stayin Alive
Most of my paramedic friends prefer Queen' s "Another one bites the dust." Gallows humour at it's best!
BARRY BARRY BARRY...good gawd my eyes are so happy....DAMN!!!
British-born, but Australian raised - apparently they were little hell-raisers as kids!
Hell yeah - theme song of 2020! Love those guys - too bad two of them already passed away - rest in peace! We remember you here!!!!
That main singer can take my heart... OMG I love this
Yessss!
Hot dam Barry was so SWEET.!
Barry took a LOT of hearts trust me! Even my mama had a crush on him back then! lol They were phenomenal singers, songwriters & musicians!
He’s STILL taking hearts.
And those tight jeans back in the day!! Do he dress to the right or the left. You for sure knew!!! LOL
My eyes are up here! :^D
Yep. You sure did. And you also knew his wife probably had a lot of fun.
As a sixty year woman on the other side of the planet, I am loving your reactions to discovering all these songs that are part of my youth and adulthood, India. I loved your reaction to hearing Phil Collins 'In the air tonight,' and you discovering Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Aerosmith and so many more. Keep at it, you're doing great.
I can tell you first hand, this was The Shit in the 70's. I know my age has some bias in this opinion; but '77, '78 and '79 brought some of the best music. Thanks 🙂.
Yes...Barry is the bomb...hes my favorite💞
Now you know who it was singing background vocals on Andy Gibbs Shadow Dancing you seemed to love so much, it was his 3 big brothers, Barry, Mo and Robin, the Bee Gees.
This is a Classic from the Bee Gee's!
Barry definitely got the best genes.
If you want more smoothness, gentle and relaxing grooves, you gotta listen to their ultimate ballad, "How Deep Is Your Love."
I think she watched that one already....I may have to look for it myself...
Barry's voice! And what a cutie too! Thank you for reacting to the music that we danced to in the 70's. This song was the intro song to Saturday Night Fever, starring John Travolta - which made Travolta a star.
All the BeeGee's can sing , but everyones fav is Barry.
I've always preferred Robin's unique voice.
@@thiscaintb4real989 Robin was always my favorite. Back in the day, I crushed over him.
Everyone loves Barry Gibb (the main singer/oldest brother). I thought they were all gorgeous!! The Bee Gees will live on for eternity! Love them!!
Barry Gibb is heaven. Dammmm😳
You need to hear their song Love You Inside Out.
They don't have an official video, but this one has a montage of concert footage. ua-cam.com/video/w9ZG6RkbdDA/v-deo.html
That’s a great one, but the cover made by Feist is simply fantastic! ❤️
Love You Inside Out is one of their greats.....awesome
The beegees were known for their falsetto voices but usually sang normally
Honey, he took this 71-year-old woman's heart years and years ago.
Saturday night fever!! I always think of Travolta dancin to it every time I hear it!
Abso-freakin-loutly!!!!
Hard to believe Robin & Maurice are twins.
Fraternal twins.
Luv your smile India : )
After 45 years I finally found why they sung in such a high register. Those damn tight pants.
Barry Gibb done took my heart 💘 a long, long time ago!!! 🤣
I love that you were into this right from the hit, I also appreciate you picking up on the drum riffs, a lot of reactors miss it.
Those born in the late 40's had the Beatles, those born in the early 60's (me), had the Bee Gees! Graduated 1978!! Stayin Alive, Stayin Alive, ah, ah, ah, Stayin Alive. Barry is the oldest one and gorgeous and his youngest brother, Andy, was his doppleganger. The middle brothers are fraternal twins and they are Robin, with the overbite and Maurice.
The Bee Gees EMOTION!!!!!!!!!
Now imagine the old 70's Cadillacs & Lincolns cruising down the highway with this tune... bumpin' all the way ;)
The music during the 70's and then the 80's is the best music ever. I am happy I grew up with that.
You need to watch the film Saturday Night Fever - they did the sound track - this is from it - it has all the classic John Travolta dancing 🕺
Yes! I beg reaction channels all the time! One of my all time fav movies! They’d get to see so much dancing, fashion and swag in that movie!
Kimberlini Bambini me too lol 😆
Mr. Gibbs has a voice of an angel.
When I was taking my CPR class this is the song that has the perfect beat to keep you on track when applying chest compressions
Here's the best CPR video for this song
ua-cam.com/video/oq82YL7ZWIk/v-deo.html
"Nights On Broadway". It's got a nice 1975 groove to it.
The opening of "Saturday Night Fever" with John Travolta walking on the street in Bensonhurst is the way to hear this song!
Those harmonies were perfected over their first 14 years together.
It’s a weird setting for the video, but I love the song and I could never complain about watching Barry Gibb strutting around.
BEE GEES - TO LOVE SOMEBODY
I used to dance this when I was a teenager (long time ago). Greetings from Argentina.
you are so right !!!.....he could have taken my heart along with everything else.....LOL.....he's a gorgeous man, and still is......the oldest of the brothers and the last surviving member (RIP to Andy, Robin and Maurice)......i understand the fanning, girlfriend !!.....LOL
Upbeat indeed !!!! Definitely what we need in 2020 😊 And Barry in his white britches ... Lawdy have mercy 🔥
I’ve seen a couple of your videos and I really enjoy them because I love the way you have fun with all kind of music, it seems to me you have a great personality. Greetings from a very distance country, Chile 🇨🇱..
The "main singer", as you so called him, is Barry Gibb, the eldest of four brothers
And last remaining
What an incredible time to come of age, especially for us NYC area kids. Because that lifestyle was organic for us growing up in a 24/7 atmosphere. The Bee Gees and “Fever” helped show the world what the “rhythm of the streets” sounded and felt like🎼
Can't believe this came out 43 years ago. You're talkin Studio 54, Saturday Night Fever, the Disco craze, the Disco Sucks craze, the Punk Rock movement, etc. Man! I was 15 when this came out. It was freakin huge. Even us Rock & Rollers liked it even tho we didn't tell any of our Rock & Roll friends know. Now you gotta do Disco Inferno by The Tramps next.
Thanks for reacting to this song and video, India. Never hard to watch Barry. I always considered Barry the handsome one; Robin (in the orange/reddish shirt) to me was the heart of the group. He didn't ever seem to have an agenda...he knew they were all talented and he did his best to hold them together. Then Maurice (in the light shirt)... in other videos he seems to be the attention getter. He jumps around and waves his hands and such.....but together they are the BeeGees and there's nobody else like them. This is my favorite song of theirs. It is off of their yellow album, Best of the BeeGees. It is like Barry is singing into the listener's ear. Take care and be well.... Peace.
ua-cam.com/video/cvKmh_jWC5c/v-deo.html
He sang this song acoustically with his son in a livestream during lockdown to cheer up his fans. :) Barry is a sweetheart.
It's super hard to pick a favorite Bee Gees song but I think personally i would go with "Spirits Having Flown." My favorite performances though are their live Medleys and Robin singing "I Can't See Nobody" live on Melbourne 1974.
I had the vinyl album as a kid.Barry Gibb =Teeth and Hair for days. For some reason I was crushing on Maurice when I was younger
Barry is the eldest and Maurice and Robin are twins they are both deceased. Barry has survived all his younger brothers. And yes he is awesome!
Great Song to listen to!!!!!
You should react to The Boys of Summer by Don Henley
The main singer is also the only one who's still alive today.
Hmm. So he's stayin' alive?
@@tammajamma Over and over he sings "I'm staying alive." and it appears he kept his word.
It's sad that his 2 younger brothers died first. 1 died from colorectal cancer and the other from a twisted intestine.
LISTEN... when this song came out it went straight to #1 and blew us alllllll away!!!!!!
Filthy dirty uplifting naughty... grove laiden mucky eye opening love. Nothing but respect to the gees. Love it
You have to listen to first ABBA “Gimme Gimme Gimme” then Madonna and “Hung Up” You’ll See...
I loved this cut, but I much prefer "Night Fever" and "If I Can't Have You" from the Saturday Night Fever album. Also try "More Than A Woman" from the SNF album as well.
To Love Somebody is a really good song by them. You will love it.
My favourite from the Bee Gee’s. Gotta love those nut huggers from the 70’s , lmao!
Also, check out some of the BeeGees older stuff ... I've Gotta Get a Message to you, To Love Somebody, I Started a Joke, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Lonely Days
Amazing how they transitioned through the 60s through the 70s.
Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster, etc. Amazing group. They wrote, played, produced,
Those tight pants are advertisement.
Barry in those white pants!! ❤❤❤❤❤😎
these are songs that made John travolta extremely famous,oh yes worldwide, those late 70's , toomuch man whooooo, whoooooop,so good
I love The Bee Gees 😍
The Bee Gees
The Beetles
Rolling Stones
Air Supply
I love them all, I love their songs. 🥰
Hello! I watched a few of your reactions, they are very cool, emotional and, most importantly, professional. Therefore, I would like to see your professional reaction to a very young singer with a very unusual voice: Diana Ankudinova, 16 years old, “Wicked Game” or “Human”, or “Take on me”. Thank !!!
100000%%%%%%%!!!!!!!!!=))))))
This song is for 20020 believe me
Go see the movie starring John Travolta Directed by Sylvestrr Stallone.
The sequel Stayin Alive was directed by Stallone, not Saturday Night Fever.
Definitely need to listen to Too much heaven and how deep is your love. those will give you goosebumps!
This tune is definitely a CLASSIC, and is absolutely a contender for "The Theme Song Of 2020" - Life is a roller coaster, and we all have to roll with the punches...
These three Musical Geniuses (oldest brother Barry and twins Robin and Maurice...) were pure magic together - we're Blessed to have Sir Barry Gibb still with us, composing and singing now with his children, and his niece - Samantha, daughter of the late Maurice Gibb...💕
Sir Barry and his Leading Lady (Linda...) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept.1st, 2020...
