My biggest gripe right now involving this game is the comments people are making about this game. I want them to stop comparing this game to tarkov and a "tarkov-killer", cause it isnt and quit comparing this game to it. Let the game be its own thing and quit trying to make everything about your fix for a tarkov alternative. The second is people claiming they want more PVP. Its obvious how many people have not done any research and werent interested in this game until popular tarkov streamers started playing. The devs have said thats its a PVEVP, with combat against AI being the main focus. Stop trying to make the game dive into something that isnt needed if they do it right with their vision. We dont need a game focused on PVP, if you want that go play tarkov or any other shooter out there. It just pisses me off seeing people rip into a game in its alpha phase and have no idea the vision the devs have without including their own tarkov objective and trying to make a game like it.

This is the first game ive seen that gets the weapon viewmodels and FOVs right. FPS have stuck in the SD era, destroying great weapon models and sights by placing it slammed up in your face making the sights huge. Not to mention innaccurate sight zoom/fov.
I know they're probably doing it to ensure good visibility but I really hope different times of day/weather systems are planned because the flat midday lighting isn't doing the game a ton of favors visually. Like I think the reason a lot of people feel it has a generic art style is because the lighting is so flat and neutral. Game needs a little bit of lighting spice.
They have said they eventually want to have a monsoon season and flood parts of the map along with heavy rain. So many games lack a weather cycle so I hope they can pull this off.
The Day/Night cycle is planned to release with the first major content update ~6 months after EA release. It will be accompanied by NVG's, IR Strobes, Flashlight/Lasers, etc. In addition to those, it is also planned to release with the electrical system. If you remember from the first batch of Creator videos last month, there were light switches and breaker boxes. The system is there, just not yet implemented.
"50-60 FPS, overall pretty good, I had enabled DLSS 3 and frame gen" Me: "... Okay... On *what* though? a 3060Ti? a 4090?" If the game runs like that on a 4090 at 4k, then they still need some work.
The sight pictures are realistic, the problem is you cant really render Stereoscopic Vision in a 2D space like a monitor, the Eotech pretty much disappears and the dot is just on the dude IRL yea there is an optic body that you can still see but it feels a lot less invasive when you have two eyes. This is a gameism but at the end of the day they still look great! Sights are not supposed to take up your entire vision, you are supposed to be able to aim and still see what is going on around you. If anything the blur effect is kinda annoying. It looks like they have done an amazing job recreating what it feels like to be a soldier on the ground, those include long walks and massive amounts of boredom with brief moments of pure terror. Love it, I hope to see a community that is working together to make this game one hell of an experience!
I remember watching one of your videos of how games can implement realistic ADS view as of how it works when you look through diffrent sights IRL. Im shocked that most modern tactical shooters don't use this, atleast as an optional ADS feature if you want to maximise the immersion. This is definitely one of those games where it should be an option for such a feature.
@levelcapgaming - the comms piece seems similar to typical radio systems. you can't continuously broadcast IRL, so what we do to combat that in practical settings is keep what you're saying brief and to the point, and if its a longer report or broadcast break up the communication by inserting "breaks". awesome video btw thank you for the preview, looks fun!
People are comparing the state of this game to Tarkov when Tarkov has been in beta for nearly 8 years when this game is in pre-alpha. The point of these tests is to receive feedback so the devs can fix it. Im looking forward to this game as it seems like a somehwhat easy to pick up extraction shooter.
I guess that would be good to set as a key bind or something but one thing I don’t want is for it to be like DayZ where you have to aim your weapon after you raise it which can be annoying especially if gunfights are the main mechanic or one of them in the game
There should be a regular sprint that slowly drains stamina like a jog and then the tactical sprint for dire situations. I feel like that would make the stamina system less annoying and it would be more realistic because as an operator you're not going to always be a a full sprint when you want to move a little faster.
I think the sight issue and the gun size issue are pretty much the same thing. If you increase the size of the gun on the screen by moving it close to the pov you also increase the sight pictures. The guns do look a bit far away.
They should add drones into this game as well. They are a huge and evolving part of modern warfare and hope to see them in some shape or form in this game
From mobile, the holo sights look fine. In irl, You'll have a better fov the further away your optic is from your face, up until the end of the receiver. It's fairly common to see in most builds
Not having much inventory space was my largest issue and disappointment tbh. When buying guns and equipment cost a pretty big percentage of available starting cash, going out and scavaging some extra guns, ammo and supplies is a must but you can't do that very effectively at the moment. I don't think I want tarkov levels of inventory (or potential inventory space) but the ability to haul a few guns and mags, food and meds would be a very welcome change because atm you pretty much have to decide if you're in need of more meds, food or ammo... i mean my 4 pocket slots are almost always taken up with meds, my rig is always full of mags, so it's my ruck that has to take spare ammo and food which then limits what supplies I can haul back. Would be nice if the backpacks had inventory slots simulating pockets like in tarkov, so sure you can only fit 2 guns but you can slip a few mags in a front pouch and ammo or meds in side pockets etc. Atm it just feels like backpacks only have the main volume available when that isn't how they work... but hey, early access and it's only been in development for a year, lets see how well the devs cook.
It doesn't look like they've added gun weight and turn speed limitation. I remember when ARMA 2 had that and people kept claiming it was lag when the developers said it was simulating realistic movement speed. Aren’t you using a 4090? DLSS plus frame gen with FPS around 100 and dips to 50 is not good performance. Also when you mentioned the long render distance that is just simply a feature of unreal engine 5 called Nanite it’s literally a toggle in the engine.
@@GATHUGHDxDAssuming his DLSS is on quality, which is about 63 or 66% of original resolution, that's much closer to 1440p in terms of performance. Plus Frame-Gen, plus mostly medium settings. The optic rendering is realistic, major games when u aim down sights it reduces the fov, causing an eye magnification with the scope, which in real life does not happen, so 100% the optic rendering that u mentioned is fully intended to be that way, and when you hold breath the character brings it a little bit closer to the eye
The rendering of the optics is relatively correct aside from the footage of the Eotech holo looks very dim which is incorrect but the acog being small and also hard to shoot out of is pretty much exactly how it is in real life. At least they didn’t mimic the terrible eye relief in the acog as well. Overall if you could adjust placement of the optic like in ground branch that would be ideal cause then the work around would be (just like in real life) bring the optic closer.

Aesthetics on the weapons are a bit strange, shouldering a rifle should make it appear a fair bit bigger compared to your FOV to get a better sight picture, looking through that eotech was just painful.
I'm honestly surprised I can run this game on epic and average 110-120 fps. I'm rocking a 7800 xt with ryzen 5 7500f native. 1440p. Well Optimised game so far on my end.
As someone that usually plays medic classes in games due to my real world interest in medical care. With the medical system in this game it would be very fun to run a medic build, but we'll see if that ends up being beneficial having someone else heal you so you can cover or if it's just better to heal yourself.
Facts. The assets look great, but my problem is that everything looks so samey. Tarkov has objectively worse assets, but the environmental design and the uniqueness of each area is what sells the “real” feeling of it.
@@Morhpocelionate it also has like 8 more years of development time spent on it... do you think tarkov always had these unique areas? Half the maps in tarkov right now are double the size that they were at release. Yall need to learn what a pre alpha is
If they make this game MORE pvp focused, I won't be getting it. I think it looks amazing the way it is now. This isn't a looter shooter so the toxic loot goblins won't stick around.
Cool idea but I wouldn't enjoy this because it would feel too slow and most people just want to get straight into the action and not roleplay their way into it.
Looks like a coolio game But it does, as you say need work. For me, you had me @ missions and replayability ...... I will have this on the radar for the future though, hell I may even buy it in early access to support the dev's but I'm guessing that's the whole point of this showcase.
First thing I noticed when I watched the stream was how awful the holographic optic is. I can’t see the dot on my phone. Maybe different if I was watching on a computer. Other than that the game looks pretty sick. Second thing that’s kinda annoying isn’t necessarily about the game but all the people saying this is gonna be a tarkov killer. Both are different games. Gotta let GZW be its own thing. But overall the game looks cool just hope they fix the issues noted in the video
Yes it's a superficial complaint, but man those weapons are too tiny. Feels like matchbox toys. And why such a tiny sight when ADSing? To each their own, but it doesn't work for me.
I did not have the same experience with performance. Felt janky, hard to see anything. I have a 6800 paired with 5600 and 32gb of RAM. Frame rate good, but visually it sucked.
The game has great potential but they ruined it making it an extraction shooter. Will need more gamemodes but it looks good for what it is, I do love the visuals and the gun play from what I can see. Another note: The shadows on trees at longer ranges is simply Nanite foliage mixed with mesh distance fields which is just two tick boxes built into Unreal Engine 5, thank the engine programmers at EpicGames for that one, not the devs. One thing I really dislike is the sound effects and gore, why the fuck are they using pink mist and feather light corpses??? It pisses me off, in real life you don't usually get much splatter on impact, it's all on the exit of the bullet and the kinetic force that pushes the shredded flesh out so it's very unrealistic to have pink mist for blood and people shot go down like a sac of potatoes. Second, the gun sounds too generic, it needs more punch to it. The devs should consider looking through some live leak war footages and learn.
What mode are you looking for? Squad already exists if you want some massive “ride a jeep for 3 minutes then get one shot and have to wait 8 minutes for combat again” nonsense without any real goal other than capturing points.
That is the problem, empty map and flat, and not enough loot. + poor loot space. DMZ map design,The Cycle map design is so much more alive and interesting. just saying. This will grow old fast...

Yo ask the devs about Anti cheats.
Imagine tarkov but you can only play woods and it is like 10 times bigger 😂
Facts. The assets look great, but my problem is that everything looks so samey. Tarkov has objectively worse assets, but the environmental design and the uniqueness of each area is what sells the “real” feeling of it.
@@Morhpocelionate tarkov is a beta game of 8 years....relax its pre alpha
@@Morhpocelionate it also has like 8 more years of development time spent on it... do you think tarkov always had these unique areas? Half the maps in tarkov right now are double the size that they were at release. Yall need to learn what a pre alpha is
If they make this game MORE pvp focused, I won't be getting it. I think it looks amazing the way it is now. This isn't a looter shooter so the toxic loot goblins won't stick around.
Aww man they modeled the mich 2000 on the airsoft helmets and not the real ones
Does anyone know if this will have controller support?
Wow looks cool....*hears its an extraction shooter*.....and Ima head out
Bye 👋
Ceya 👋
naw eotech is fine except for the reticle needs to be brighter and visible. its usually that far away.
Acog on a carry handle??? Stoner is rolling in his grave right now
Perfect timing with the release of Civil War
wait i thought choppers were drivable , that's disappointing
I hope the new PUBG game is like this but with some pvp
Cool idea but I wouldn't enjoy this because it would feel too slow and most people just want to get straight into the action and not roleplay their way into it.
10:49 you mean healing
Looks like a coolio game But it does, as you say need work. For me, you had me @ missions and replayability ......
I will have this on the radar for the future though, hell I may even buy it in early access to support the dev's but I'm guessing that's the whole point of this showcase.
I like the optics
disagree with the weapson scope
the real one works like this. it is small and you are not usisng eotech to shoot over 200 yard anyway
*Networking issues, netcode doesn't exist
Looks like red river
and thats why i watch level cap
I did not have the same experience with performance. Felt janky, hard to see anything. I have a 6800 paired with 5600 and 32gb of RAM.
Frame rate good, but visually it sucked.
walking sim yay
The optics is a deal breaker for me.
Not impressed with the game. It looked like it was fun to mess around with your friends tho.
seems more like a FPS version of sea of thieves.....
Ya ok bud 😂 shows how much experience you don't have in real world combat engagements. Sit this one out lil bro
What mode are you looking for? Squad already exists if you want some massive “ride a jeep for 3 minutes then get one shot and have to wait 8 minutes for combat again” nonsense without any real goal other than capturing points.
yeah sure.... on the same moment tarkov is facking it up.... who are the share holders/money keepers on both projects?
Enemy movement looks too 'dumb'...
just play SQUAD
That is the problem, empty map and flat, and not enough loot. + poor loot space. DMZ map design,The Cycle map design is so much more alive and interesting. just saying. This will grow old fast...
