LOVE THAT YOU WRITE OUT YOUR YUMMY DELICIOUS RECIPE AND DIRECTIONS UNDERNEATH SO WE CAN HAVE THEM FOR LATER FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO CAN NOT COOK THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH
Hello I made your buckeye recipe And they were melt in your mouth good 👍😋 I also like that you wrote recipe so we can look at while making them ! This will be my go to recipe for now on 😊 Thanks so much Brenda
My mom and my grandma made batch after batch for Christmas, since, we have a lot of family on my mom’s side and,( lol, it’s about the same in my dad’s side) but, most of everyone in the family likes grandma’s buckeyes, peanut butter fudge and, nuts and bolts! ( that’s what Check’s Mix is actually called and, that’s what we all knew it as) But, we tried the White Almond Bark one year, when, grandma thought she’d make at least one batch that way. Well, she used white Almond Bark and, we just didn’t think it tasted near as good!
I tried these out, and they taste really amazing (but a bit too sweet, so less sugar next time)! Also my buckeyes were not this pretty, I need to work on my chocolate dipping technique 😀
I attempted to make these but my dough came out to mushy. Not dry or clay consistency like yours. It was hard measuring the peanut butter, you think I got Too much peanut butter in there?
It would be tough to mix together. You’d have to make your butter really soft before you start and you will have a heck of a workout getting it together. Good luck! 😊
WWE Mashups, Stop Motions, Covers, and Themes i make this like 2 times a mth easy way use a 1/2 jar of pb skippy or jif works and tastes best 2 cups powered sugar teaspoon vinalla and 3 table spoons of butter melted mix butter pb and vinalla togather till smooth with a big spoon i add a few grinds of sea salt as well then i sift in the powered sugar and fold and mix scraping the edges so it all gets mixed then i chill the mix for 15 min roll out the balls i use a teaspoon you will get 30-35 balls then i freeze them and melt 1cup of milk chocolate chips for 30 sec i the microwave then 2 more times for 15 sec i also add one teaspoon of coconut oil it makes the chocolate shiny and a little thinner so it coats well the i put them back in the freezer to set up and yum yum
@@doghouse0872 Thank you! I made mistake of adding melted butter to my melted chocolate chips and it ruined it. It became hard and clumpy. I have coconut oil on hand so I will try that instead.
Here Til The END ya that works great the first time i melted chocolate i used butter as well i didnt have melted chocolate i haf a huge chocolate lump so i fell your pain

Hello
I made your buckeye recipe
And they were melt in your mouth good 👍😋
I also like that you wrote recipe so we can look at while making them !
This will be my go to recipe for now on 😊

Brenda
I am so glad you enjoyed them so much! 😊
I will use your recipe. I just moved to Ohio, and the buckeye candies are expensive, so I am making my own. This recipe looks good. Thanks!
I hope you love them! :)
I’m an Ohio native and all I have to say is...’you can buy them?’ I thought you had to wait until Aunt Kay arrived!
I absolutely love 💕 all your recipes
Thanks so much 😊
Almond bark chocolate and white for coating. That’s what I use. It’s all great though.
My mom and my grandma made batch after batch for Christmas, since, we have a lot of family on my mom’s side and,( lol, it’s about the same in my dad’s side) but, most of everyone in the family likes grandma’s buckeyes, peanut butter fudge and, nuts and bolts! Adding rice crispies to the peanut butter mixture gives some crunch if you like that…
Great tip!
Me and my mom made them and they are ansome!
I am so glad you enjoyed them so much! :)
Wow...This is my first time making Buckeyes and your recipe looks like something I can do. Thank you.
I hope you love them! 😃
Im gonna make these...awesome
I hope you love them! :)
I actually like the peanut butter just a little gritty. It adds a nice texture to each bite.
It doesn't really bother me either, but a lot of people don't like it that way. It still tastes good. :)
Thanks for the recipe! I made these today and they came out great!!
I am so glad you enjoyed them so much! :)
Thank you. These look great.
Thank you! 😊😊
That was great! Mine came out so well. Thank you
My MIL makes these with rice krispies mixed in for a little crunch. 🙂👌
They are sooo good. I think they are better than Reese cups
I'm so glad you enjoyed them so much! :)
My mom makes this at Christmas time
This looks fantastic
They are so tasty!!! I hope you love them! 😊
So it's basically peanut butter frosting, rolled into balls and dipped in chocolate?
Yes
I haven't made anything with peanut butter in a while. This is as good an excuse as any to change that XD
It’s always a good time for peanut butter desserts! Enjoy! 😊
If I don't have shortener can I use butter and would it be the same amount??? Please lmk I'm making them now
I would probably just leave out the shortening, your chocolate will just be a little thicker. 😊
We just add vegatable oil. Works like a charm!
Easy peasy
Im gonna make these for my coworker for her birthday this year. She's a pb & chocolate fiend
I hope she loves them! :)
@@SugarSpunRun same! Thanks for sharing 🩷
Can you add Nutella to the chocolate dipping mixture? I can’t seem to find a Nutella buckeye recipe. Thanks for the video! Love it! ❤️
The nutella won't set up properly, unfortunately. :(
Thank you Buckeye Bigfoot for showing me this channel
Hi,thank you for the recipe, I made some today, but they did not turn out very good. I don’t think I let the chocolate get warm.
O no! I’m so sorry this happened! 😔 I hope you were still able to enjoy them.
Good presentation
Thank you! :)
What kind of wafer melts do you use? I cannot locate any in the store that is 12oz a bag
I used Ghirardelli. :)
Making these in England on recommendation of my best friend who is from and lives in Ohio
I hope you love them!
I tried these out, and they taste really amazing (but a bit too sweet, so less sugar next time)!
Also my buckeyes were not this pretty, I need to work on my chocolate dipping technique 😀
I'm glad you enjoyed them overall! :)
@@SugarSpunRun And also, your channel is really great, you make amazing cookies and cakes!
Thank you so much!😊😊
Put your tooth picks in your pb balls BEFORE you put in fridge or freezer. Makes dipping in choc so much easier.
@@cherylroberts1407 Thanks great advice, I'll try that next time!
Yummmmy!!!!!😋
I wonder if adding molasses instead of brown sugar would add the flavor without the grittiness. Brown sugar is just sugar and molasses
Some would cover the entire thing and make them smaller. But that's preference.
I'm making these for the first time this weekend..can you do this without the shortening though? I don't have any
The chocolate won't be quite as smooth and pourable, but it will still work. :)
@@SugarSpunRun thanks..I did go ahead and buy some shortening sticjs at Walmart
is there a recipe for buckeyes w/out shortening?
You've found it! If you use the melting wafers there's no need for shortening.
I attempted to make these but my dough came out to mushy. Not dry or clay consistency like yours. It was hard measuring the peanut butter, you think I got Too much peanut butter in there?
If your butter was too soft it could cause some issues, or you could have needed a little more powdered sugar to thicken it up. :)
Do u keep them refrigerated or out them out?
They don't need to be refrigerated, but some people prefer them chilled. It's a personal preference thing. :)
OH!
I love the concept it’s the powder sugar that turns me off. Looking for healthier version
Try Paula Deen’s recipe for Peanut Butter balls she uses Honey instead powdered sugar
which peanut butter you have use please send the photo of that peanut butter or name
Hi Rajesh! I don’t use a particular brand, just whatever is on sale at the store, as long as it isn’t the natural kind that separates. 😊
Ohio favorite
What if I don't have an electric mixer
It would be tough to mix together. You’d have to make your butter really soft before you start and you will have a heck of a workout getting it together. Good luck! 😊
