    Wow. That was an awesome video. I have watched a couple of videos from others and had to cringe, but this was really settling for me to watch.
    You treat the lady with respect and compassion, whilst keeping her dignity as much as possible.
    Thanks for teaching us the true way of caring for fellow human beings. xx

    During testing, you will have 30 minutes to complete five(5) skills. This technique took 11.54 minutes.
    Problems identified during the skill include:
    1. raise the bed to a comfortable working height (it will save your back over the years.
    2. 4 wash cloths for one skill, will exhaust the linen supply on the nursing unit
    3. Side rail should be raised in preparation for turning
    4. The incontinent pad should have been opened with the white, absorbent side against the skin
    5. When washing the front, washing should progress from clean to dirty (was vaginal opening , labia minora then labia majora
    6. Unsafe to leave the resident turned on her side, no side rail and not lower the bed
    7. Shaking the wash cloth to flip it is unsanitary (especially so close to your face)
    8. Why did you pour the water in the commode and not use the sink

      And during the positioning to the lateral side she should have bend the knee to make it easier and comfortable for the patient.

    We all know there are residents who don't let us even touch them lol. I've been punched and kicked the whole 9. Being a CNA is damn hard. Even the most simple of tasks can take an hour or more lol. Depending on the resident u are taking care of. I luv my job but damn it's hard amd stressful

    The difference is that with a real patience the story is much different special if the patient is heavy in weight and the soil smell

    She did not put the bed to her waist level to care for patient neither did she demonstrate lowering the bed after caring the patient. But others he did well

      Thank you for the video. In my observation the left bed rail wasn’t put up before rolling to the left lateral side. When she steps away the resident could fall off of the bed.

    Are we allowed to leave the resident on his or her side when disposing soil linens and wash our hands? Would that be considered as unsafe if there is no bedrails?

    • @wonderhealthcareerinstitut8242
      @wonderhealthcareerinstitut8242  2 роки тому +3

      Make sure your resident is not at the edge of the bed. Always make sure he or she is at the middle of the bed . It will not be considered unsafe.

    i noticed in a bunch of these videos the cna wont touch the faucet without using a paper towel . just curious does she not beacuse shes not touching the patient again?

    • @wonderhealthcareerinstitut8242
      @wonderhealthcareerinstitut8242  2 роки тому +1

      You suppose to use paper towel after washing your hands because you're still going to perform your skills or touch your patient as you mentioned. If you have finished your skill you can open the faucet without paper towel because at that point your hands are dirty and the faucet considered dirty also. I hope I answered your question. Thanks
