The products are produced with UV inhibitors and antioxidants that prevent the exact flaking shown here, and have been for 15 years. Unfortunately, Blue Tex is a competitor to these products, so you’re only getting their side of the story. The truth is that bubble/foil insulations are excellent products for metal building insulation.
We respectfully disagree. If they were excellent products we could not get calls ever week at www.BlueTexInsulation.com from people who have issue with their bubble foil or metal building insulation falling apart. And from builders who refuse to use the stuff. If you actually watch and listen to the video it specifically states that in mild areas bubble foil does better than extremely hot areas.
