- Enjoy the new trailer for Once Human, the upcoming post-apocalyptic multiplayer open-world survival game that bills itself as "strange" and "weird," as its closed beta test kicks off in North America on December 6.

Somehow manages to look unique and completely generic at the same time.
That's because you weirdos cry about survival games (looking generic) yet will play the 20th call of duty, or csgo clone or same exact ubisoft sp formula open world game.

It looks like a cross between the Division with Control and Death Stranding
It's the Rust part that makes me a bit apprehensive about playing.

Looks well made, graphically beautiful, and great looking take on enemy design. The problem for me is the gameplay looks generic, nothing about it stood out. We saw one use of some kind of power where a guy dodged or maybe double jumped. That's it. And while the solo boss fight in a weird, broken reality, looked AMAZING....it was just more "Shoot standard enemies in crit spot. Now, shoot the bullet-sponge boss a bunch until it dies." Clearly they didn't show everything, cause it's a teaser, so things are still in development. But it just....LOOKS fantastic, but feels very recycled in terms of gameplay.
The few minutes at the beginning reminds me of Control.

Theres only so many new ways to play before you run out of new ways to play.
It feels likes its trying to do a lot of stuff at the same time
You're never going to play anything that's super original again man, get use to it, games have been around so long now you cannot create something without it appearing similar in one way or another to a different title, no matter the genre, game play, or mechanics. It could be a completely 100% original idea, but it would still end up bearing some resemblance to something else.

Creativity and art direction look awesome. Definitely seems like it's going for a lot - the PVP piece felt forced and like it didn't fit into the overall trailer, but overall this has visually compelling elements and the trailer was well done. Excited to see what may come of this!

Excited to play the beta again. Have a slightly better setup so I'll definitely try pushing the limits with the best graphics. Starry Studio keep doing an amazing job - the new mechanics are looking great! 🎉

The first half of the game looks great, I'm digging the Alan Wake/Control vibe but the second half of the game looks like every other multiplayer garbage out there.

This game definitely has a lot of potential. Playing in a world we’re nothing is what it seems. Perception is how one interprets the world around them. And seems that these beliefs, can become a reality.

NGL, the last third of this trailer made it looks MUCH more interesting than the majority.
This brings literally all of my inspiration into one video game

Probably not. Most game companies nowadays are pumping out pretty generic games with plenty of unique concepts, but generic all the same.

Death Stranding, Silent Hill, SCP, Control, & plus your typical open world survival game mechanics. Nothing new, but combining all of those aspects is what is new, and I'm really interested in learning more about it.
Everything looks great but the combat seems to small and pinpointed for the size of areas. Take the house fight for example, only the stairs and entrance room seems to get any use. Plus the tracers on the shots seemed way too slow to me.
Edit: this gives me the same feeling as Generation Zero

This game looks interesting enough, if not similar to others like Division (maybe too similar) or even the allegedly real The Day Before, but to be honest this game looks like it might have an identity issue. It seems like its trying to do a lot without giving us a reason to tie it all together and truly stand out for itself.

Concept seems a bit like multiplayer “the evil within”, which is cool, but legendary studios may sue due to similarities to their monsterverse’s “monarch” logo.

The FPS looks like it was taking a hit during some of those fighting scenes
Not a single person died in the PVP. Everything looks bullet spongy. The movement reminds me of Division even the dodge roll.
