As long as the original arranging is respected and the spirit of a song kept intact, I can only applause youngsters who take on classic rock like this. Very, very well done.
What an absolutely brilliant cover of this track on 'Trick of the tail' Been a life long Genesis fan, lucky enough to have seen them live many times especialy in the early years with all the original band members - Steve Hacket , Anthony Philips, Peter Gabriel and co' at Hammersmith Odeon. Knebworth etc , that brings back memories ! Hydria you should be proud of yourselves !
You're one lucky person. I don't know if you know how lucky you are. I only got to see Phil by himself. And Genesis is tied for my second favorite band. But this song is my favorite
Ignore all the dullards and criticism from non-performers, non-musicians below. There is nothing here but excellence all around. What you have below are the dullard, mindless masses who only want a replication of the original studio recording. I have been playing, performing, producing, and writing music for decades. What you have here is all around excellence. Great singing and production. Well done. Commendable. I've added this to my playlist and intend on its regular rotation. Inspirational.
One who is not you, and you did not know who I am. Allow me to speak agunas things. The things you say are the real things, congratulations. In the place where I live, nobody sees these things in this way, and that makes me feel very lonely sometimes. regards
I highly doubt it and this coming from a Genesis fan since 1974.. My favorite tune and to me this isn't even close to what Entangled should sound like...
This is one of my all-time favorite Genesis songs. From one of my all-time favorite Genesis albums. I've heard it being murdered loads of times. But this is just beautiful. No other word for it. Thank you.
OMG! I'm a 30 year Genesis Fan and your version of Entangled just BLEW ME AWAY!! I've ALWAYS wondered what this song and others from Genesis would sound like with a talented female lead vocalist like you! Incredible! I am truly grateful you guys did this! Thanks to all of you :))))
These two really pulled this off very well! "Hauntingly Beautiful" This song still gives me chills! I remember being 17 years old, laying on my bed, listening to this song and visiting lands far away in my mind. To this day, this song never fails to send me back to that emotional place in time. Actually, this whole album, along with "Wind and Wuthering", and "And Then There Were Three" remain 3 Masterpieces, that continue to take me on wonderous and wild journeys to another realm!
I was going to say again the same as i did 6 years ago (i'd forgotten i already have liked this reprise), and then i noticed that i also forgot to say how lovely this celtic singer voice was ... and now it's done ♥
Ok, everybody knows that genesis was one of the best bands of all times, no doubt that " the trick of the tale" is a great album. The point here is that the girl is an angel, a brazilian angel. She as the face of an angel, she as the eyes of an angel the mouth of an angel. Absolutely beautiful........... as well as the song. As for the guy, when you're good you´re good........ Beijinhos menina linda. From Portugal
From time to time over the years I have returned to this video and listened to it as though it was the first time and I always come to the same determination that it is a simply BRILLIANT version of the Genesis masterpiece! To me, the guitar riff that leads into each chorus-break delivers a massive boost of adrenalin that is perfect for this interpretation of the track and ensures that listening to it never gets old and the superb vocal performance underlines that pedigree. As Arnold would say, I'll be back!
I have been obsessing on "One For The Vine" as of late. Listened to Wind..... and Trick..... as a child. Took time off from them over the years but would still visit them periodically. One birthday year in the mid 90's I rec'd a copy from my sister and one from my guitar player. I had my own copy so I gave them to a couple people who weren't that familiar with that era Genesis. Needless to say they were blown away. Take care!
This is SERIOUSLY Fabulous, Refreshing and TOTALLY Exhilarating to say the VERY least !! I've followed Genesis since the 70's and bought most of their vinyls and Music has ALWAYS been my Saviour and Life from a Chill Out point of view and this is a VERY Unique tribute that just Gels TOTALLY and took me way back but also brought this awesome track BANG UP TO DATE ! The 117 thumbs down ? Well, for some people the original will ALWAYS be carved in stone and ANY variation is taboo but what they fail to recognise is that it is tributes such as this that will take Genesis and ALL the Fabulous bands thru GENERATIONS to keep the Movement ALIVE !! Way to Go, SERIOUS AWESOMENESS and I'm subbing, Liking, Faving and finding SOME way to download this pure magic. I'm soo glad I found this. Peace and Happies from Xena Land Down Under, Steph :)
OMG! I just discovered this version of Entangled! This is not an easy song to play or sing, much less bring it to an entirely different genre of music! Beautiful and powerful! Must play on “11!”
Hey people... I've been watching this breathless... Its always a pleasure to see and hear people of your generation enjoying and performing this (everlasting) music. It's also a joyfull moment to watch and hear these folks singing and playing. Very, very well done. My deepest respect to all of you. This (gorgeous) girl has such a wonderful voice and an amazing touch in her way of singing... I also really admire the musical interpretation, I mean like adding this 6/8 drums beat, heavy sounding but not knocking the song out of balance... and after the 2nd chorus, returning to guitars and vocals. Incredible. Finally, I really respect the fact that you guys didn't play the keys solo literally, but you made your own version. Kind regards from The Netherlands, Alex ( 42 and die hard Genesis fan ;-) )
As a long time fan of Genesis, especially this era, I think this is a wonderful and brilliant rendition. They have added a little edge to it while maintaining the ethereal sense of the song. I like the intensity and I think it shows the passion they have for this music. I especially like they way she sings it at 4:30. The idea of a band doing covers is to not reproduce it exactly as the original. Good job and I am a fan.
Sorry, I just posted a comment practically identical to yours. That'll teach me to read the comments first before commenting myself! Seems we have similar tastes...
The chorus gave me chills. Well done. The vocals are clean and powerful (the breathing is a stylistic choice, and works for me). Nice work on the various instrumental parts, too. Thanks for covering this underappreciated gem.
A wonderful version of this classic. I watch you sing and see you're feeling every note. This is great. Singing without feeling it is dull. But when you're into it, your feeling brings it to life. Well done.
Brilliant version of this classic song. Raquel has a beautiful voice. Just please be more careful with your breathing when you are close to the microphone. It takes away from your efforts. Otherwise, well done.
Beautful - well done. I actually like the part where he puts some crunch on the guitar, though I would have thought something like that would never work on such a beautiful ballad. Thanks so much for posting!
This is one of my all-time favorite Genesis songs. I actually use it (the Genesis version) as intro music for my band. While you can rarely ever improve on the original this is a great take on a masterpiece. Wish there was a more complete Mellotron outro. Love the vocal and distorted guitar though. I will be listening to more.
A wonderful version! It was perfect for a contemporary version of Genesis. And I really dig your singing style on this. It wasn't over sung like a lot of vocalists do today. All those vocal somersaults make me dizzy. But you put just the right amount you into it that marked it as yours. Thanks for the ear candy! I will always be a Genesis groupie and love hearing others versions of their music!
What an absolutely beautiful, incredible cover of Genesis's Entangled! I can't stop playing this over and over. The extra heavy metal kick at a few places makes it even better. And her voice is stunning. It's so sad that Hydria never came out with that Genesis tribute album they were hyping. But what a gem this is - dare I say in some ways it's better than the original?
Christian Sanelli: The original is a 10, this is a solid 9. I do like this version a lot, she has an incredible voice! It's too bad they didn't cover any other Genesis songs...
I LOVE Entangled. How could you not? Dear Facebook generation, please download all Genesis albums prior to the 1983 untitled album (a.k.a. the Mama album) and listen to real music. As for Hydria, breathing noise aside, a real great effort.
Having no previous concern for the song here, to my ears its awesome. Seems Totally well done, great vocal work, great guitar work, I give it 10 out of 10. Don't know what Genesis thinks about it but I don't care what they would think. All I know is this Hydria ROCKS .
Woooow !! Huge work on it, absolutely well done, well sung, well played, very good cover, i love it !! Beautiful voice, too... Thanks a lot for this, i appreciate as an old french Genesis fan (soon 57 years old) !! Congratulations !
As long as the original arranging is respected and the spirit of a song kept intact, I can only applause youngsters who take on classic rock like this. Very, very well done.
Well said. Don't we want the music to be passed on like Bachs works?
That absolutely gave me chills I love this song and that was a beautiful rendition of it
I've loved this song for 45 years. Your version is outstanding.
Excellent interpretation of this masterpiece. I thought I'd never like a version of Entangled without a 12-string and a Mellotron. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What an absolutely brilliant cover of this track on 'Trick of the tail'
Been a life long Genesis fan, lucky enough to have seen them live many times especialy in the early years with all the original band members - Steve Hacket , Anthony Philips, Peter Gabriel and co' at Hammersmith Odeon. Knebworth etc , that brings back memories !

Impressive rendition, heartening to see Genesis & prog music living on through the decades and outlasting the (c)Rap.
Just blown away by this performance of Entangled. The vocals and music are stunning!
I'm a Genesis fan, and I approve this cover. Beautifully played. The vocal tracks sound like they were sung by angels. Incredible.
What an absolutely fantastic cover of this track on 'Trick of the tail love his cover.
taken from a trick of the tail, one of my favorite Genesis album's, your version of entangled was lovely. thank you.😊
Great version. Sensitive, and well produced. I like the little innovations in the vocals too.
Yep back here again....still amazing...even got this on my mp3 player for the rest of my days. Well done.
Watching this in 2021. Digging it. Always loved this song.
This is undoubtedly the best Genesis cover I have ever heard. Superb.
As an Englishman and a lifelong long fan of genesis, this is very good well bloody done
Really nice take on a classic Genesis track and one that first got me interested in the band way back in 1978.
