"Hey You" is the 11th song from Hydria's "The Versions" project. This project was meant to be a tribute "EP" to their favorite artists, with new songs being released as soon they are recorded. This is a gift to their fans. No profits are being made of it.

You guys are really inspiring for a man who dumped the whole music scene years ago and recently planned to make a start again, even if its covers. Loved the cover despite many times I'm not fond of females doing songs like this. This song is a very powerful song and aggression, sadness, loss, anger much more passion can make this stronger. No one will ever sound like Pink Floyd but now matter how anyone else sees it I give you guys a big thumbs up because there are parts that I really liked on the vocals and also "dont' tell me there's no hope at all" means a lot for me because I lived in horrible depression and suicide thoughts constantly and hearing original Pink Floyd made me understand what they felt when they sang their songs. Loved your song and mix, it was great.

WOW absolutely great cover . the guitar work was amazing , drumming perfect, and singing inspiring. Guilmore would be proud. I noticed 145 thumbs down and a lot of negative comments, don't let that phase you , you need to put on a thick skin and and do what you do. You know as well as I do that Geddy Lee was constantly put down (and still is) but look at where he is now. Don't ever stop rocking!!!!

I have to say i normally dont like any Pink Floyd covers as "no one" can do it like Floyd,but this was great,more power to your elbow.Very well done,great voice.
Graham Mitchell I have to agree wholeheartedly, I think they did a beautiful job on 'Hey You' ..in fact I like it so much that I've had it in my Pink Floyd playlist for some time now & Hydria's is the ONLY PF cover in that playlist.
***** Checked out Ben Karlstrom's version with Mike Masse and Jeff Hall and yea i guess " Hey You" was definitely worth a look,for me i dont think it had as much impact as Hydria,she seem to put more meaning into the song and the guitar tones were much better,also checked out their "rendition" of Comfortably Numb and Wish you were here,both songs left me a little cold.Thanks for your input anyway but i dont think it'll be on my play list anytime soon,sorry.

Don't guess please. I listened to Pink Floyd since when I was little and I still have the rip from original CDs that I made sometimes in the middle of 90s. I don't know what release it was, and I don't care, honestly. All I wanted to say - this current track is a quite enjoyable rendition with lots of quality, and it sounds almost similar to me. And of course I like female vocals in general very much, so it also affects my opinion. And no, I'm not an audiophile, it's just my humble opinion.

Uhm, that's entirely subjective. The 70s are well regarded because they are the inception of metal. The 80s are well regarded because this was the period when metal became more diverse and it also became more popular. Since 90s, metal went back into the underground. That's why the 80s period is so worshipped. Its like the teenage period of every man. No matter how old you get, you will still look back saying that was the greaters period of you life...
People are saying about the move of her mouth. Oh come on!!!! The ones who loves the band or this particular song wish to listen the same vibration of the original or a better version. This cover is a reinterpretation of the song, It is Hydria's way, not Pink Floyd's. Raquel's voice is sweet and soft, she can't change that, even you !!!!!! But you can keep your opinion.
Maybe you're looking in the wrong direction of the music. Metal is probably the last bastion where bands tend to be more original and avoid using auto-tune. Of course, if we look at the more electronicaly influenced bands, I might say that you're right, but not entirely. Today you can find natural songs, good compositions, nice arrangements, good song-writing and all that. Its just the generation gap. I, for one, like all periods in rock/metal music. All of them had good and bad things.

no way! Adam is right, this is a cover man. No need to sound like original, she's woman! By the way I feel tragedy in her style. The meaning wasn't lost. To compare her voice style with original record makes no sense at all.

The point of this cover is to differ from the original, duh! That's why it is a cover and not copy/paste material.
