Oh my gosh . Do you understand How Awesomely talented you are at Everything you do. You are a Wonderful Narrator too. You also include music and editing. Nice
You know we don't have cuttle fish here in Washington state so I have never fished for them. I would think jigs would work for those as well. Thanks for watching. Tight lines!
No, I use protec powder coat on the weights.. basically, put the weight on a spinner wire bend the end of the wire so it doesnt fall off, then heat the lead up with a heat gun, and I dip them in powder coat.
Depends on how warm the weight it. Sometimes yes. Give it indirect heat with the heat gun. Dont want to burn the powder coat. Practice a few times. You will get the hang of it
Thanks for the video, I have been going to the edmonds pier for a while now and have been trying to figure out how people cast the bodies and get some of the more unique shapes.
Hi. I know this video is quite more than a year ago, but Im hoping you could list all the materials mentioned for us beginners to know and easy what kind of supplies we need to get. Thank you
Using a heat gun, probably not the most efficient way! Take a piece of wire bend the end 90 degrees, heat the lead and dunk it in the powder coat, then heat again till it flows.
@@ThePiscatorian360 I made some outriggers for my kayak. Hang in the water 4k lumens blue light. And I have got my limit every time in about 1.5 hours 2 days a week for 3 weeks now.... I'm running out of room. Can't eat it fast enough. But I need to make a 1.5 oz heavy jig for the 100' fishing ....
Weighted 1/2oz ones: Bullet sinkers 1/4 oz Spinner wire closed eye 5 inch .035 Squid jig hooks I used 35mm hook Glow in the dark powder coat Wapsi flexi cord Chrome cone head or bead for the top Lure jig seal coat
Not the colored ones but you can get glow in the dark natural glow spaghetti beads. I seem to catch a lot of squid on them with just the 3 glow beads but I've made them with all glow in the dark too.
Those jigs are ok but it wouldn't be good for summer squid jigging. Those guys on seacrest pier will out jig you 10 fold in summer, autumn, and winter.
Most informational video i have ran across.
Thanks for the feedback, I hope it helps. Making jigs is fun.

@ thanks brother! Do you put a first coat of color then put another coat of glow?
@iamalemontree usually doubled dip it
@@ThePiscatorian360thanks brother! I will try double dip next time, do you have to reheat after 1st dip?

Sounds like a killer set up. Just use a duo lok swivel to the bottom eye of jig and add a cannonball sinker, that should work.
Hi where can i buy a mold like that pls?
What mold are you referring to?
How do you make the body of gig ?
On the weighted ones?
The weighted one uses two 1/4 bullet weight sinkers. Use wasp flexi cord or mesh tubing over them and tie tight on each end
I need some! Let me know what pier you're on next so I can buy!
If this channel ever takes off, I might have a merchandise website one day. You can find them on ebay!
i sell in port orchard and i can ship look me up on Facebook Nick Fox
Enjoyed the video. would you be able to make a list of the things you needed to make those jigs.

Squid jig hooks I used 35mm hook
Glow in the dark powder coat
