    Thoroughly enjoyed this panel!
    High Ti women/fem-presenting folks really do have different struggles in the societal settings they're born in. And with Se in the mix it's highly more contextual to each person.
    I noticed that Manda and I might have developed a similar coping mechanism as xxTPs that are born female and being expected to act pleasantly with everyone around us: nervous chuckles at the end of our sentences just so that people can hear we're trying to be friendly-as a tonal compensation. (correct me if I'm probably projecting, Manda)

    To be honest, I got so much out of this -- more than the other ESTP panel with mostly males. I'm an INFP with several cultural intersections and panels like this one add so much nuance to the MBTI conversation. I would love to see more panels about MBTI + cultural modifiers.

    1:05:30 - 1:12:00 Here are the biggest similarities between ESTPs and ISTPs in this converstation so far, at least in my experience. I identify strongly with most of those points.
    I used to listen to music a lot while doing other stuff but nowadays it's mostly UA-cam videos and other informational content.
    Regarding the ever changing hobbies and interests in general: I almost never get bored by something, it's just that there's always something new or something even more interesting competing for my attention and my time. I also never really quit a hobby in the sense that I get rid of everything. I just kinda stop doing it and it's still sitting there waiting to be picked up again sometime in the future.

    I once told a coworker that he was lying about being 6 feet tall, because he is as tall as me and I’m 5’10. This was in front of a lot of people. He then suggested that I was also 6 feet tall and I called bullshit on that as well. He got super upset and afterwards I was thinking “why the fuck did I say that, I could have not said anything. I don’t need this headache”. Just to clarify: I’m a guy. If I were a woman he would have probably been even more butthurt.

    • @Carmellalovespink
      @Carmellalovespink 2 роки тому

      Yea but you could have said that to him in private. Exposing him like that in front a lot of people is very embarrassing for him lol. Even though he lied.

    I sooo relate to their stance on education. I thought I hated school. I actually love it, WHEN I can do it online at my own pace, one class at a time, accelerated. I would never be getting my Master's in Business Administration if I had to go sit in a class for hours and take notes every week.

    That trait that Rubi said from 50:49 - 51:16 about being competitive can turn into a bad loop Se-Fe loop... most of the people I´ve seen on the type community talk about the introverted loops, but the extroverted loops need to be look upon as well, hope Joyce explore this a bit more in her extroverted type talks.
    My extroverted loop (Se-Fe either Te-Ne not sure what it is, I´m not officially typed yet) have brought me to some reckless beheavior near death experiencies or extremely all over the place pushing people into getting things done just to acomplish something that I thought it was important for everyone, prove a point or just simply trying to have fun with eveyrone but just going too intense...

    • @legendzfall
      @legendzfall 2 роки тому +2

      That sounds like a Te/Ne loop. Se/Fe is more focused around social and/or power hierarchies and perceptions. Se/Fe loop is how I clued in to the fact that I'm ESTP, the tests used to tell me INTJ

    • @joakas1986
      @joakas1986 2 роки тому +2

      Really!? thanks... until I tried to explain to someone else it actually made sense. I did tried to look about these 2 loops on the interwebs but didin´t find anything well explained out there... Like I said, most of the personality community are more or less skewed towards introverts so the extroverts who do get courious about personality kinda get a short straw when looking information online... I do love Joyce interviews because it feels "real" hearing peoples experiences more than just reading trough something and trying to apply what you read to something you can compare objectively against your self or unto someone you want to connect with... if this makes any sense...

    I find that many ESTPs like to say that they are joking but the problem is that they are the only one laughing. If other people are not laughing with you, it is not a joke. Saying that it's a joke to avoid the responsibility of your meanness is not a great trait.

    • @Rubycella

      The truth sometimes is brutal, and we like that, and if people live life with their head in the sand, we are the ones to grab them out of that. Mostly when I say something i never say jk. That's weird and childish. I speak my truth; always, it's fun to see peoples reactions. I basically always mean what I say. Basically, estps walk the walk and talk the talk.(edit) to add to this, if we are mean to someone its because that person has been mean to us first or what we perceive as mean/hateful/disrespectful)

    Yeah, It's really bad that women aren't allowed to be blunt, joking, honest. The female space between women can be rough because you have to be so aware of not doing anything wrong.

    ESTPs during the interview: hyper-observing, hyper-judging (appearance, voice, credentials etc )
    ESTPs after the interview: re-enacting how each of them talked or reacted (with hand gestures 🤣) and overthinking/ being hyper critical how they did during the interview themselves

    I'm an INFP, and I love shock humor. A lot of jokes that were popular in the 90s, but offends woke people today. Now, comedians aren't allowed to be funny.

    It's so cool to have swapped 'gender roles' in a relationship. We should all be free to be more or less gendered.

    Not so much good at sports but forever running, swimming at the beach, bush walking, bike riding, yoga yes. And I did jump out of a plane but only Once. Always getting in trouble for offending my students without meaning to. 56 years old and no relief from this. Am offended myself by the type being labelled as unintelligent and non-intellectual. And I do plan too. And I don't like people who are easily offended!
