Thank you ladies for doing this. I am the husband of a 1% ENTJ Female that experienced emotional and physical trauma as a child. I am a little disappointed that no one touched on the negatives of this personality type almost likening it to a super power. Professionally, my wife is doing very well with a MS in IT management and Graduate certifications in Risk Management, Informatics, Database Integrity, IT Security and many others but in her personal life she has suffered from moodiness, disagreeableness, depression and anger issues which strains our marriage and her relationships with her children. I have watched my wife struggle in silent pain to be patient with others. She also has some addictive personality traits that her turbo charged brain can easily overpower her mental brakes when making rapid decisions from time to time over eating & alcohol. After many years we have learned that her mind literally has a small amount of control over her rather than she over it. She is constantly multi-tasking and when things crash.... it is really devastating for her. She takes failure very, very personally. We have been married 28 years and we have learned to help each other get through some of the negatives of this personality type. I wish everyone well as well as your families. Blessings to all.

They did talk a little bit about their struggles with emotions and with not always relating to others or coming across the correct way. I can understand if they didn't want to go into too much personal detail.

As an ENTJ woman I appreciated this panel. Often times we are stoic and very direct. Our brains are constantly processing and optimizing so it leaves little room for emotions. I appreciated the women speaking about the challenges ENTJ women encounter surrounding diplomacy and effective communication . We aren’t the villains people make us out to be .

As an INTJ I aspire to become like them.

ENTJs are fascinating. I feel like they have such a soft heart and a soothing vibe, if you really listen to them.
Fantastic ideas and a lot of sensitivity in this video.

I think that when an ENTJ matures and develops more of their feeling functions, they’re a pretty optimized human.
I’m not an Fe user either, so it’s refreshing not to have to walk on eggshells w/ them, and to be able to get so much done. ✅

I LOVE entj women. They inspire me to tap into my raw dragoness Te powers. And there is no greater honor than to witness their Fi vulnerability and get the chance to validate it while they impatiently wait for the solution x) - love from a smol infp

As an INTP I sometimes notice that my own cognitive biases are .... less exposed ... which is a disadvantage for ENTJs that due to being proactive people and therefore in other people's face to some extent, any cognitive bias will give great confidence in being right when being wrong.
For INTPs they'll be wrong but in their own mind at home in front of the computer screen, and usually about the structure of the universe or how the Roman Empire could have been run better.
For ENTJs they'll have to experience their ideas rejected by other humans.

    • @cyberneticbutterfly8506
      @cyberneticbutterfly8506 3 роки тому +8

This is similar to how ESFJs will have their 'care' rejected and be hurt cause 'you are being mean to me by not letting me help you because I need the good feeling of caring for you wether you want it or not'.

Much props to these fine women on the panel that get shit done and often can struggle with getting their own personal matters attended to in the moment. Perhaps this is what makes them among the most effective class of extroverts that mankind has known? As an INTJ Male I can identify with their struggles of finding solutions in a world that just wants to be heard and present on an emotional state of being which I can grapple with immensely at times. But great panel and Joyce keep bringing the heat! 🙏

When Gray said that sometimes she feels like other people's emotions are a problem to be solved" I felt that so hard. I've been working on not always offering a slew of potential solutions to make people's sadness go away, and rather biting my tongue a bit and allowing that person to feel what they're feeling and confide in me. It's really fucking hard to comfort and console someone without trying to "fix" or solve all their problems or redirect their attitude.... Because 9/10, they're too emotional in that moment to take heed to any information I'm giving them, no matter how reasonable or helpful it is. It's difficult to relate to. But I'm trying.

I’m a female entj creative self employed with childhood ptsd who lives in the Caribbean .. my life needs a novel. 😂 I must say that I had to learn to be my exact opposite personality wise in order to survive so now that I’m looking at 40 in a couple of years I’m learning to embrace my authentic identity but it’s easier for me in some ways because I was forced to adopt listening and being empathetic as well as being being a team player when I knew I wanted to lead all techniques that didn’t come naturally to me. But now I employ them to my benefit. I see others needs before they do and I’m able to plug that gap quickly and efficiently. These conversations are very healing for me because no one understands me really and I know I’ve played small to be accepted. When I discovered I was an entj it answered so much for me and I started typing my family and it opened a whole new life of communication and understanding for me. Seeing other entj women have struggles and still hold true to their identity is the most inspirational thing ever for me. Thank you.

My thing as an ENTJ woman, I take into consideration my employees feelings, not because I feel them or can relate, but I know this is part of them, and it can negatively or positively impact my livelihood, and theirs.
I’m not uncaring or rigid, I’m just trying to help the most amount of people.
I think we’re all trying to do that.
I think we need a head figure, and that’s not intimidating, it’s just sometimes people get lost and it’s good to have a compass.
That’s how I deal with lower level employees. With the CEO, it’s “what? Do you hate results?… then never speak at me again.” *ring ring* and I know for a fact they haven’t changed a thing or followed my advice, yet ring ring… I can do Uber for what I got paid at my last job. Kill me.

Kathrine wanted to know how an INTP would deal with their own negative feelings. I just choose to be apathetic in the future, and it works. I doubt the same can work for Fi, though. My negative emotions either come from my perception of others' perception (Fe), or misplaced pride. It's not really my identity, so I easily let them go.
Some INTPs have reoccurring, oscillating self-esteem that goes unfixed, but not me. Maybe it's because I'm a jumper, or because I've lived the IxxP nightmare since before I can remember.

Came here to checkout the entjs😊, never met a female entj in real life , they seem so cool and nice . Not like the typical stereotype and nice to see them talk about intp. As an intp female I find entjs so interesting , their way of thinking is so different and opposite and I’m like how did u see such a diff thing then me, but I really enjoy all Nt since I feel like emotionally they don’t drain me and there’s some mutual understanding there . Great video

    1) Love the comment about using an Ni/perspective window as an access lane (via slowing down) to access ones Fi. I've been stumbling into that wisdom for the last decade or so.
    2) Yes to Gray and Barb and others on hitting the pause point to discern whether a person wants a) straight up solution mode, or b) being validated and just venting mode. As a mechanical engineer undergrad, I initiated this competency by imagining (weird I know, but it's effective, so...) a meter superimposed atop someone to help me realize the person had Fi pressure built-up inside their machinery, and imagining that dashboard meter helped me to better on-ramp to a "pause habit", at the interface moment, vs just jumping into showing a solution structure or outright answer.
    3) Way too much other good content for my Si to recall, so...
    4) Excellent conversation, ladies.

I think an entj woman, is not always well accepted bacause her function are better accepted with a man. Men are sort of respected when having these functions but a girl is often seen as not well adapted. While entj women taken at face value are greatest. But I often also see a lot of emotion, with entj women, but to me it feels that it is often used as a tool, or as a way to get things done. They turn around and it is over😊👍

(Only found out I typed ENTJ a yr ago, hyperfocused binging on info since)
Let me preface this by saying I'd def get along with all of you cuz we share the same qualities n values. This is the group of peoples I would've surrounded myself with had I the choice.
When I found out about the ENTJ it explained me to the T. Everything from driven af, take no crap, not in my feelings(yet I still have alot) etc. The bad parts? 😑 every name you can think of in 2 different languages lol
When I was listening to you all I thought damn yaz are cold AF. Then I think to myself "bitch YOU'RE LIKE THAT"🤣
My channel is on gardening so people only see the happy go lucky humorous side of me. Every now and again my personality would seep out🤣 Oops

I sometimes type as INTJ, sometimes as ENTJ. I’m more extroverted (in how I problem solve and how I social) than most INTJs I know, but I’m way calmer than most ENTJs I know and I almost never lose my temper in group setting, I can always put on a relaxed/patient face. Point is - why can’t we be BOTH! Who created these boxes and why do I have to fit in just one? Where is the empirical data proving that people can only be one type?

My issue with my female entj is definitely her mouth.. Very raw and rude. She has amazing focus go hard and get things handled!! Hands down great very dedicated.
. My issue is mouth how she comes off and so I do the same thing back and she CAN NOT HANDLE IT . she is quick to say why are you being so rude.. I'm not just being straight forward no sugar and she doesn't like it

    • @elvillivle
      @elvillivle 3 роки тому +20

You talk to her the way you think she talks to you and because you think it's in a rude fashion, that perceived rudeness is what you show her. But for her, she wasn't really trying to be rude, she's just being herself. And so how you talk to her comes off as rude to her because it's not natural for you to talk like that unless you intend to be rude while for her, it's natural, no intention to be rude.
