- In this episode of Federico Talks Watches I discuss my latest purchase. A vintage 1970 Omega Geneve Chronostop. This is an uncommon single push piece 60 second chronograph made specifically for the dalian market. It has great dial patina and is un-modified... These can be had for a steal and have a ton of personality.

Great watch. I've never seen an Omega like this. Great break from usual watch video content. The size looks great too.
I just bought an Omega Geneve Dynamic in need of a winding crown. This was a bit of a gamble, but it looks good now with a new winding crown, and a freshly polished crystal. I love this watch, and think it is undervalued at the moment for what it is- a piece of seventies retro chic in an iconic package.
When you're confronted by a deal like that, you'd be crazy to pass it up. What an amazing find! Thanks for showcasing it in this vid, Fed!

That's a great watch you got there. New watches straight out of factory just don't have what these older pieces do. History and persona. Of course you need to get the vintage pieces serviced, which you need to add to the cost.
It's interesting how the chronograph hand knows the faster way to go, to get back to zero. When you did it the first time it went counter clockwise, but the second time it went clockwise. I assume it switches at the 30 second mark?

I saw a chronostop today.... It was used 800... Strap wasn't great. I'm still thinking whether to get it or not

Its Gorgeous Federico. I think that the Chronostop is only going to go up in value, likewise I think in ten years time we will see 1970's watches reaching the same values that 1950's/60's watches are attaining now.
The Patina is delicious. Would love to see some close-up shots over on the Urban Gentry FB page! Congratulations and the price was frankly a steal!
