Why do phones need to be in flight mode? I thought it might be to stop results being uploaded early, but uploading is a manual process.
1) it extends battery life - don't assume that everyone's battery will be fully charged or will last as long, as you are asking the camera to be active for the duration of the app being open in barcode scanning mode
2) it stops people accidentally clicking on alerts and diverting out of the app
3) it stops finishers being shown (accidentally) potentially private alert messages
@@dggordon2000 Thanks. I don't think that flight mode will save much battery power compared with having the screen on all that time, but "every little helps".
