Use EAN like a normal person next time :3
You Europeans with your extra digits! Some of our products have both UPC and EAN, companies like Zagg love putting them close to one another so you accidentally scan the wrong one 😉

Check the manual. There usually is a special barcode to scan to turn off the beep. No need to break the thing.
Sometimes I like to manually turn things off 😉
