When he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame one day, this most likely will be the first image that people think about. Good players make great plays. Great players make great plays in big moments. Legendary players make phenomenal plays when their team needs it the absolute most: All the hype he received as a kid was true and he’s worth every penny he makes and then some. Philadelphia absolutely loves this man.
His ability to come up big in the clutch is reminiscent of Reggie Jackson in the '77 WS. The new Mr. October.
Relax. They haven’t done anything yet. GETTING to the World Series…. is nothing…..
WINNING there….. is the greatest.
Ima always remember him for his gangsta Usain Bolt sprint around the bases after that huge grand salami lol.
Definitely this is second.
Yeah I'm still not accustomed to him outside of a Nats jersey but this might do it
Nick Foles Most LEGENDARY Philadelphia Player of all TIME
“BEDLAM AT THE BANK” has a chance to be remembered as one of the best calls in Philly sports history imo
Scott Franzke is the best. Should be doing national games, but I'm happy he's in Philly!!
No chance about it. It IS one of the best calls in Philly sports history.
@@CARUNNERUP well they are Phillies employees, and the broadcast belongs to them.
so true
Not just Philly sports, could be one of the best calls of all time
Bought tickets 2 hours before the game started, 9 rows off the first baseline and it was absolutely the best impulse decision of my life. That stadium was unreal last night.
🤌🤌
Congratulations! Good luck in the big show
@@demetriusmiddleton1246 thank! The Astros won’t be an easy task but I think we can do it
What were tickets going for?
@@samuelculper4231 I got them for $500. I also bought then 2 hours before the game. Best impulse buy of my life and absolutely worth every penny
Harper's status as a legend in Philadelphia has been solidified with this post season performance. Simply amazing !!!!
Red sox fan here, but love to see philly catch heat in the playoffs! Has been very exciting baseball to watch !! Congrats conference champs!
Facts bro shoutout to Philly but go Sox
Wish we still had Schwarbs but enjoying him rake in Philly
Massive series for the red hot Phillies! Both clubs played very well and all considering it was a spectacular watch through and through. Never had a boring moment in it and the crowds were electric! Best of luck to the boys in red, bring it home!!
Red hot Philly peppers
I'm a Mariners fan, and I gotta say the Phillies are my 2nd favorite team. The energy of that team and their fans is incredible.
Phillies fan, mariners are my second favorite team
From a braves fan. Harper is my favorite player. Pulling for Philly, class act fans that seemed electrifying. Wish I could have been there.
Thank you! I was there on Saturday night, and it was unreal. I wish we were a more successful team but there is nothing like when this team gets hot. I'll enjoy this ride as long as it goes
That is rarity; a nice Braves fan.
Thank you.
Phillies aren’t a class act😂
this aged well
What a time to be a Philly fan. Eagles are undefeated and looking like a Super Bowl contender, Flyers are off to a strong start, Sixers are an NBA Finals contender (despite getting off to a slow start), the Union are in the Eastern Conference Final, and the Phillies are on a Cinderella run and now in the World Series.
You gotta love it
@@Mcjesus97 For me personally I'm a MUCH bigger fan of football and baseball so I'm floating on the clouds right now. GO FIGHTIN"S and IGGLES!!
Doc Rivers will never get it done. I would have him on a short leash. But Phils,Birds and Flyers...yeah!
No way you mentioned the Sixers along all the other teams here
Hockey is more unpredictable than baseball. Like in baseball, strong regular season don't equate to strong postseasons, and vice-versa. Just look at the Dodgers and Phillies.
@@thefox47545 true
Great calls by both. The local call is great and props to Joe Davis for finally giving MLB the announcer it deserves.
I’m happy to see Bryce performing well in the postseason. His fire is much needed. I think the world is rooting for the Phillies and I’m here for it 🤟🏽
Dodger fan here but for whatever reason when the Phillies are in the post season I root for them if they aren't playing my Dodgers. I have been to Philly 100's of times for work and the people are just authentic, hard working. I'm so happy for the the city. Enjoy every moment.
What an amazing call. Chills.
A career defining moment from a guy full of great moments already. Can't help but feel great for Harper, somebody who has matured a lot in his time in the majors.
Thank you for the Scott Franzke call 🐐
Dodger fan here. Bryce Harper has been a BEAST all of this postseason. The entire Philly team has been on a TEAR!! And it's been fun watching y'all. This is what baseball is all about. I wish my Dodgers would've played like this. But it is what it is. Go get em Philly!!
1:03 - "IT IS BEDLAM AT THE BANK!!!"
The fact that you have my all time favorite broadcaster, Scott Franzke (who should be doing national games), on here is massive, to me. Thank you!! Go Phillies!!!!!!
This is the best moment I’ve ever witnessed since I’ve been watching MLB !!!!
Cardinals fan here. Great moment for Harper and the Phillies! Congrats and go beat the hated Astros. Pretty much everyone is on your bandwagon now!
The camera angles, crowd, Harpers aura is just epic.
I'm a Braves fan and after we lost to them I just knew they had that magic we had last year. I hope the Phillies win it all and they better after knocking out my Braves.
how did he layoff that changup......what a monster
this, that change up was filthy the bottom dropped out and once he laid off you knew he was locked in and looking for something elevated and the rest is history.
They asked Bryce about that in a dugout interview after the at bat. He said he knew the pitcher was due to throw the change, so he was able to lay off of the pitch. Still, that was a very good change that would've struck out many batters. Great discipline to not swing.
seriously. I was thinking change up and I was only hoping he was thinking change up as well. difference is I would have swung even though I knew it was change up lol.
I think that walk in the wild card series game 1 top 9th at cardinals was a big reason we came back that inning.
He laid off of it bc he was waiting for the fastball. He had him timed up.
After a huge let down with Carson wentz, it’s great to see Harper becoming the Philly legend we all hoped for
Wentz did REALLY well his first year and was a big part of the Birds getting to the postseason, but something happened in his brain when he got hurt and Foles finished for him in the SB. He never got over it.
@@jcortese3300 he played well in 2016 and 2017 but the ACL tear just destroyed his mobility and his sack-evading magic, which was alot of his game.
Nick Foles??
Harper doesn't just have next-level ability, he gets the Philly work ethic and the fans' passion for winning. Philly sports legend already cemented.
Wentz would’ve folded in the playoffs if he hadn’t gotten hurt in 2017. Let’s be thankful he got hurt.
That clown will never win a playoff game.
I love LA's and Scott's radio call.....gives me chills and goosebumps every single time. That was some iconic legendary stuff right there. The pitch before he hit the HR I told my grandson this is when you need your superstars to deliver.....BOOOOOOOM!! Harper is one of those special players who crave to be and thrive in the biggest moments. The guy has ice-water coursing through his veins and he wills this team to win. This will go down in Philly sports lore as "The Shot Heard 'Round the Delaware Valley".
I was in Venice Italy on my honey moon watching this game in the middle of the night 😂 it was crazy. Wish we could’ve finished it.
Wow, Venice Italy on a honeymoon, thanks for telling all of UA-cam how cultured you are.
Back around 2009, his AAU summer team was playing at East Cobb for a Perfect Game tournament. A friend and I went to the complex in hopes of seeing the superstar phenom play. Unfortunately, he didn't make it to the event, but I'll never forget how much hype he had when he was still just a freshman/sophomore in high school. Crazy cool to see him reach his full potential.
I played with Zack Wheeler on an East Cobb team. Super pumped to see him get to pitch in the world series. Grew up a Braves fan but I'll be pulling for the Phillies in this series.
I decided to look you up on Google to see if you were bs'ing because I never heard of you. Sorry. I believe you now lol
2006 15u East Cobb Yankees. A couple guys on the team eventually got drafted.
There really is nothing like playoff baseball. It’s a different sport. Can’t get enough of it.
MV3 does it again, this time on the big stage 💯
Now get that World Series mvp Bryce. Nice going. Happy for the phills. From a braves fan
As a sports better I'll tell you this, Philly has been a underdog in almost all the regular season games. They surprised often.
Earlier this season, I went to Nats park, sat behind home plate, screamed at the top of my lungs, “THANKS FOR THE RING BRYCE!”. Then later in the count, I scream “YOU CAN HIT A HOMER TODAY BUT YOU’LL BE RINGLESS FOREVER”. He hits a homer as I’m finishing my heckle… Then he turned into god the rest of the season and here we are. I don’t mind eating crow for that heckle. Truth be told, I’m so proud of the hotheaded, immature kid in dc growing up to be a man of the people in Philly.
Brokie
I love this
He has absolutely become a leader. He has connected with this city in a huge way. He has said and done all the right things since coming to Philly. He is NOT the punk kid he was when he came up. Some people stil can't let that go but he has grown up and will lead the phils in the world series.
@@ryosaeba4878 is that what they call people in the diamond clubs now? Lol
@@paddyoflaherty2519 he definitely grew up. It’s night and day how he looks and Carries himself. Before he was a punk kid. Now he could be a great brand/ regional ambassador.
1:09: Hoskins is tearing up! That's straight brotherhood right there! This team is truly special, and the love is real!
I hoped for and envisioned a moment like this when the Phillies signed Harper. Congratulations to the Phillies and their fans on an amazing improbable post season run so far. I'm not from Philadelphia but have a number of relatives there and I tend to root for their teams. Philly has the greatest sports fans of any city in America in my opinion. Loyal and passionate across the board, Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, and of course Phillies!!
Moments like this remind me why I love baseball! Not even a Phillies fan… but who cares! This is magic! This gives me hope that all can be well in this world once again!
And on this day a legend was born
Watching this as a Phillies fan in 2023 after the Phillies have just lost 5-1 to the D-Backs in game 6 of the NLCS, god I hope I get another one of these moments tomorrow night 🙏
One of the best things about baseball is that it doesn’t matter what team is playing who is the favorite, etc. etc. There’s nothing that compares to the excitement of watching a great player come through in a clutch situation. I tip my cap to this dude.
It’s an awesome feeling when I see us fans going berserk in the stands like that. It’s been a long time and In that moment to me it felt exactly like 2009 again. I was 7 years old when Philly won in 80 and I didn’t fully understand the feeling but 2009 I did. Getting to have that again is just emotional for me.
Harper will never have to pay for a drink or dinner in Philly again.
I usually dislike Philly fans but not the teams. happy for the Phillies and their fans this time
Aw, thank you!! 🙂👍
I can not believe how this game went......when the past ball which advanced the runner from 2nd to home I thought good lord there it goes.....then this.....Jesus that was King Kong massive!!!!!
I can't watch this without tears filling my eyes, what a phenomenal moment
Oh this was absolutely phenomenal.
Cardinals fan and Im rooting for the Phillies to take the whole enchilada
I’m a Phillies fan living in Cardinal country. I have been to Busch Stadium many times. Y’all are a great fan base.
The whole crowd shouting his walk-up song beforehand was awesome
Im from Boston. He just gifted yoshida from the red Sox cleats and batts. He's become my new favorite player. He's filthy good
I've been watching the Phillies and going to games since the 1970s and have never seen or heard the fans as crazy as they've been for these playoffs. I have no idea how the other teams can function amid this bedlam.
Reminds me of Bellingers home run in 2020 NLCS Game 7 go ahead home run against Atlanta. This home run was epic, and Bryce sends himself to his first world series.
Only time dodgers can win a World Series if the world has to go thru a pandemic an play only 60 games
@@bojackson9140 doesn't matter the number of games, I wouldn't be talking since the Sox lost the division lead. But no team is perfect, baseball is baseball
@@yoveljurado5873 oh I disagree.. Thats a mickey mouse trophy imo. Didnt have a regular season to tune people up. Dodgers were just ready to rock it
@@guywebster8018 okay Astros fan, Houston took part in that 2020 season as well. Stop trying to be rude. By the way, congratulations on the victory last season. Houston's first title done with integrity.
I was at that game when with my dad, we were sitting on the first base line. I remember the whole crowd went silent. And then they erupted, and I have and will never hear anything more loud and excited. It was a memory I will cherish forever.
I'm a long-time Padres fan. But I'm not surprised about the Phillies going to the World Series. I told my wife that Harper was going to be trouble!
Astros fan here very much cheering them on, but I gotta admit...
Watching this live was probably one of the greatest moments I've ever watched in my lifetime.
Just an unbelievable play by Harper.
I immediately texted my friend who's a Phillies fan, he was going crazy.
I watched it too as an astros fan.. Knew they'd be tough to beat.. Glad they got it done
This moment made me cry. Other than the 08 World Series win this was the greatest moment of my life I swear to god. Bryce Harper is a damn legend
So the series record of 4-1 doesn't do justice to the battle this has been. The Phillies only outscored the Padres by 4 runs total over 5 games....this is the kind of series that gets people excited for baseball and keeps the game alive despite some of it's more dated aspects.
Braves fan. National League East is no joke. Miami in 2003, Phillies in 2008, Nationals 2019, Braves 2021 and hopefully Phillies in 2022!
Class. Thank you!
"Bedlam at the Bank." Legendary commentary by Franzke
Wow I wasn't able to see this inning bcuz I had to go away to do something and now that I get to hear Joe Davis call I got chills. Great job Joe on that call. I say you envoked the legendary Vin Scully on that. Perfect words to lead into the perfect moment
@@088l is Joe the first voice?? The one before 1:00?? Because I know my favorite announcer, Scott Franzke, was the second.
I was at the game. Driving back to Washington, DC, sports radio called the home run the greatest in Phillies history. Couldn't believe what I saw that day.
gives me chills everytime i watch it
Congrats Phillies, if not my beloved Dodger's than you .
Hit of his life. As a padre fan. No shame losing this game. Both out teams weren’t supposed to be there anyway. 🤙🏻 to Harper. 😭
Every angle.
All three of’em.
Gee thanks MLB.
I will never forget this moment. My one friend jumped up from the bar and hit my other friend in the teeth with his beer cracking two of them and we still all went nuts. He didn’t even notice his messed up teeth until a few minutes later.
Where’s the angle from the back looking out to where it ultimately landed? No zoom in/out, just one view start to finish. The coverage of this post season has been great
What an AB by Harper, but let’s not also overlook Realmuto’s AB just before this. He was 0-2 and worked a base hit.
Id say this #3 philly moment of the last 10 years. 1. Eagles Super Bowl 2. Villanova Buzzer Beater
Bedlam at the Bank, what a call.
Harper is a baseball legend and sports hero happening before our very eyes
What a time to be a Philly fan LETS GOOOOO
Anyone here after game 6 tryna feel better 🥺🥺 (cause me to)
This moment will be replayed for years to come
Philadelphia is a great of example of a team getting hot at the perfect time.
As a Dodger fan, this is what I wish Cody Bellinger would do. Harper looked like he gave such as easy swing, didn’t seem to want to knock the sh* out of the ball, and just make solid contact. Cody has just been a disaster at the plate following his MVP season. It’s maddening watching him swing through just about everything.
You can see his stunnedness on his face… probably saw that happen in his dreams since he was 4 years old.
I love when he shoots his cuffs on the way to first
Hate him or love him, the guy has been fun to watch. Such a great redemption story. Braves fan here, so this is sincere and not biased lol. But alot of people would've considered his time in Washington as somewhat of a failure, or that he didn't live up to expectations. Them winning the World Series after he left did not help. When he went to Philly, I got that gut feeling it wasn't gonna end well for us Braves fans.
As a Nats fan....congratulations Bryce
This is why you gave him that contract. 99mph and a difficult ball to hit toward the mid-low corner and he crushed it!
I am so happy that the Phillies signed him. We deserve him ever since his 1st season with the Phillies. Ever since that crazy walk off grand slam.
Man, I am SOOOO happy we got Bryce Harper and didn't get Manny Muchado. I almost forgot how I felt during talks of getting another bat in the lineup. The Phillies were considering getting Manny and, TO ME, he just didn't look like he really wanted to be in Philly after he came to Philly to talk about a deal. I prayed we got Bryce as he was the only real, main choice besides Manny. Bryce got Philly & I thought showed enthusiasm to get a deal done.
Bryce just gives old school Ryan Howard presence when steps into the box always able to make magic happen when you need it😌
The man the myth the legend!!! My 3 year old Daughter is named Harper. I named her after we signed Bryce. Bring home the World Series!!!!
Bryce " Hero " Harper.
I like him now. Keep up the Good work. Thanks man.
Something positive can still happen in Philadelphia...
What a run by the Phillies. The fans really electrified the team.
Absolutely fantastic call
"IT IS BEDLAM AT THE BANK" may go down as one of the greatest radio calls in Phillies history
It should! That's the great Scott Franzke!!
He raised the game to the magnificent level only it has the potential to reach. Yay!!
Bedlam at the Bank will forever give me goosebumps 🥳
That Scott franzke call sends chills down my spine
Mine too!! I love his calls, especially during the postseason.
A storybook ending to this series.
I really wanted the Padres to go all the way to drive home the fact that my beloved Dodgers are being managed, bought and sold-out by a horrible front office team, but I am phenomenally happy for the Phillies.
I sure hope they can beat the Astros!
Wasn't at this game, but was at game 4, and let me say that stadium was so incredible. Obviously I'm a little biased, but seriously I think anyone who enjoys sports would have enjoyed that atmosphere. Without a doubt, this home run will go down as one of the greatest all time. Wow, what an improbable run. Still work to be done (and I'm not feeling too confident against Houston), but the memories from this playoff run will be with me forever. GO PHILS!
If you think this will go down as one of the greatest home runs of all time, you're obviously not a baseball fan and probably just blindly watch one team. Not necessarily a bad thing I guess. Just hope the MLB fans become more educated in years to come.
Wow what a swing!!
Before he signed here it was him or Manny great players and it was fun watching them lead they're teams. But only one could go.
Phillies and eagles are making this a great year
The union are in the eastern conference finals. They are out best hope to win a title in this town. Then maybe the eagles, then Phillies, then Flyers, then the sixers.
If that's what makes you happy
I’m a nats fan and I was grinning ear to ear when he hit this
im so happy for bryce
Top 10 moment in all of human history, not even a Phillies fan
Nothing is better than the phillies broadcast.
HARPER, THE SWING OF HIS LIFE 0:21
Maaaann… I’ve watched this so many times and I always get goosebumps
Dude I’m asking the Phillies to win the whole damn thing!!
Edit: the Phillies are the 2021 Braves and man they are scary!!-a Braves fan who is cheering his guts out for Philly.
But the 2022 Astros are leagues above the 2021 Astros so I highly doubt its going to be like last year
@@viveknamikaze761 we'll see. The Astros also haven't come to the bank, where it's literally virtually impossible for the opposing team to get a win. The Phillies have the best record in post season history at home in a single stadium with a minimum of 20 games (21-9).
This was simply amazing
