Use the FMIC.For turbo you can use G25-660,that will spool early,or Pulsar. This is next for my manual Audi B7 2.0TFSI quattro withch is allredy forged.
Good luck with the project, I'm following it. For fast spool, consider ball bearing turbos, audizine forum may be your best buddy. I'd recommend to search also the IE guide to 2.0 TFSI bottom end (performancebyie and also bar tek). Sub 4s is possible with manual, yes. RS4 injectors may be a false legend. Read well before using them, their spray pattern may be not what you look for. Last time I checked, there was no-go, ymmv. For high boost, water-meth may be safer for you, yet it is moving away from "daily driver". I'm also interested in rebuilding my engine, but every time I did one, cylinders were not always round (oval), honing was gone after around 100k kms and they had to be resleeved, which in the end is not bad for higher power. I am interested if 2.0 TFSI is easy to rebuild after a certain mileage. Who is doing the remapping?
Been looking at that IE guide for a long time haha. And yes i will get ball bearing turbo. The thing is i want to build a budget build to arround 500hp for as cheap as it can be and i would like to build another one for 700hp that will get all the goodies
@@bike23august when cheap goes boom, it becomes suddenly expensive. I've personally turned 2 engines into oil fueled flamethrowers on the dyno and it's not something to be proud of. 500HP on that engine is already expensive at least as handwork, parts and high probability to fail :(
@@duddahgyeah7653 great then we will have some flaming content haha.. i could make it 500 on stock engine but i m trying to give it a chance to live haha
Looks good , i did similiar upgrades(little lower CR, 83mm bore,IE rods) but only for k04 on my A3. Currently working out how to tune it as tuner couldnt get damos file for my ecu. Bought eurodyne maestro to tune myself but it did not have support for my ecu either. Currently swapping ecu to find one that is supported by maestro, audi(to code immo) and vcds(to enable haldex/change emissions) How will you tune the car you're building ?
Hi man, I'm starting to build my 2.0T B7 as well! Aiming towards 500hp. I was looking at the TTE480 turbo because of fitment and fast spooling. You said you were looking for a 600hp turbo and run it at 500hp which seems nice! Did you find a turbo that suits your needs in the meantime? Ps. Don't forget your balance shaft! 1.8t conversion or freewheel should do the trick
Thats great let me know how it goes!! I m working on the part 2 video now haha but to answer you well i plan to use the original oil pump and delete the balance shafts and for the turbo well i haven't decided yet, i have a few ibteresting options. And for you if you want to run the tte 480 at full power i think you will need valve springs upgrade for the backpressure
I love what you're doing here, keep it up. what are the steps you'd take in building a 2.0tfsi mk5 jetta, DSG? they are 197-200hp stock. As a daily, moderate sound but a sleeper
Hi, good videos. I have been wanting to upgrade to a CTS k04 turbo but can’t justify the cost. I have all the mods needed for the ko4 just need the ko4 and tune. I have been looking at the F23L turbos. What are your thoughts on these or any advice on a k04 that can be had for around $500 - $800 USD?
@@bike23august do you think I can run the F23L with a GIAC K04 tune? That would be the cheapest upgrade path for me but not sure if it will work well with a K04 tune

@@bike23august if the previous owners did not maintain it well, then the sludge is there.
