    I love watching the squirrels run around. Good save with the nose! I like the use of the pocket knife. As a matter of fact, I had a small branch I took off a dead tree the other day. It was only a half inch wide, and I tried using some of my regular carving knives, but I ended up using the pocket knife and I really like the feel of the way it works in my hand. Thanks 😎

      Thanks Patricia glad you enjoyed the squirrels, lol, that’s cool you use the pocket knife also, I always carry mine around and the bark is easy to carve with it, hope you made something cool out of that branch.

    Great save Paul! I do like that expression. That bark was pretty cruddy, but it does give the whole piece character.

      Thanks Mike, the bark gets better farther in with most cases. This one
      was my worst piece to work with.
      Appreciate that!🌝

    Paul, not bad for bringing the nose back into the picture but you made difficult wood finish your way

      Thanks Rick, I should have been more
      cautious but the bark has a mind of it’s own sometimes. 🌝

    Paul I was lmao at those little guys running around at your feet. Good to hear some storys about you Paul. Hey try some of the flex cut palm gouges, you can buy a set of 4 good and sharp not to expensive. I like usung the pfeil chisels and gouges super sharp swiss made but expensive , I bought them individually about 45 and up each depending on what size you prefer. I find the knife carving to be way more relaxing. This guy came out looking good even though his nose popped off. looking forward to some more building videos. I always watch to the end, congrats on the 1.3k subs. did you get your play button from yt. yet? Ok see ya on the next one. Ramble, ramble, ramble.

      Thanks always Mike, yeah those critters look like wind-up toys the way they move around, I heard flex cut are good, kinda the same style I used with the linoleum blocks. i got dumped with rain from the LA storm
      but I will be posting some construction bits in the next few vids.
      Hope all is well out your way. All the best 2 U!🌝 Didn’t get any button from utube, think I gotta get watch hours up is all. I’m at 1,900 hrs need
      3k yet.

      Well that sucks YT. If I come across some gouges I will send them to you. I'm always looking at the antique stores around here for carving tools. Stay safe bus and happy potato planting season or harvesting.@@wood-psyche

    I know what you mean about the machine noise … it really puts me off carving some days. I love using my knife. Also there’s much less dust.

    • @wood-psyche
      @wood-psyche  Рік тому

      Yes, another good point, no dust is good.

    Great job, considering the piece of wood and just a pocket knife. Keep on truckin.
