Be sure to get these hostas for your new garden: Stained Glass, Rainbow's End, Diamond Lake, Rainforest Sunrise, Patriot, Minuteman, and Snake Eyes. I grow lots of these in San Francisco. I was a perennial specialist (volunteer) at the Nursery in Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park. Early every Spring, we'd receive our order of perennial plugs from Walters to grow on to full sized plants. I also propagate plants at home. So, your tour reminded me of all the plants we grew and mine at home. You are right about agastache--they really flourish in the second year in the garden. Love the hakonechloa with the hostas. Thank you for the tour. A great garden to visit is the Green Bay Botanical Gardens in Wisconsin. Hosta Wonderland!!!!!
I am loving your tours of My area/zones.. I live in MN, so a lot of things you have in your garden at home don't match what I can grow! I love your energy and I am learning about different plants throughout all of your trip! #beetrue2youblooms
Janey, I’m a Hosta Nut...I have a collection of 54, no repeats and it is beautiful ( if I do say so myself! ☺️) some need dividing now, but I’ve no more room! Sure wish I lived closer, I’d share! Manitoba zone 3b 🇨🇦
Hi Janey 🌺. The garden looks amazing with these beautiful and pretty plants and the garden with blue and yellow and purple and orange flowers it attracts attention . Have awonderful day. 🌺🌻🌺
Janie!!! I’m so glad you got to visit the mitten! We have so many beautiful gardens for you to check out! As a Michigan transplant (from Vegas), it is such a stark difference! I’m not sure you got to see it but if you’re ever back you should check out the lavender farms in July and Frederik Meijer Gardens.
Hi Janey, thank you for the tour of Walter's gardens. I'm obsessed with the hostas!!! Too bad I cannot grow them in here in south florida. PW please create something for zone 10b. 😸
Love that orange and purple combination also. I have 2 Sunjoy Neo Barberry in my garden. I have the Denim N’ Lace and and Supertunia mini vista indigo planted around them. It looks stunning!
What a beautiful place, I also need that agastache too. It must be so exciting to see your new garden coming to life in your head. Funny you're moving and Ambrose and Angie are too. Look forward to the next installment of...Janey's excellent adventure 😊
The gardens are so beautiful The Hostas are amazing. We live in a well forested area and we can't have Hostas because the deer eat them. I wish I could plant them. We have so many shaded areas that would be perfect for Hostas.
Thanks for the tour but please don’t use the common name for Tradescantia. The term has antisemitic roots. I bet PW and Walters Gardens no longer use that term either.
So much of your visit is now a reality in your garden today❤
Surrounded by so much beauty.
Hi, thank you so much for sharing these beautiful flower gardens.❤
Thank you Janey, Amazing garden’s design..
So happy to see you in my Michigan! We have the best gardens!!!
I lived in southern Michigan for 10+ years in locations along I-94. Michigan is a great place to garden, cold winters not withstanding.
Thank you so much fir your infectious joy when you're teaching and touring us through the gardens.

I so hope you have some established trees on your new property Janey, I’d love to see you be able to play with a shade garden too!
Yay! I've been hoping for a dark leaf white hibiscus. Guess I have to wait a couple more years. Thanks for showing us around the gardens.

Remember that kniphofias need a lot of water to get them to really bloom. I have a lot of these in my gardens in San Francisco!

In one of my gardening book they had used dicandra (?spelling) falls as ground cover.
Enjoyed this tour so much! At 7:36 what is in the containers? I'm in love!
Beautiful gardens . Do the Hostas take a lot of water. We are on water restriction here on the central coast
Janey, you need to wear a hat 😊
Wooo se lucio
Ohio calls that red hot poker
Please tell her we need a inside house tour!!!
YES!!!
Can anyone go there to Walters garden?
Thanks for the tour but please don’t use the common name for Tradescantia. The term has antisemitic roots. I bet PW and Walters Gardens no longer use that term either.
Wow seriously?
