A while back, a reactor asked me if there was any sounds Lovebites can't make; I said yeah, bad ones. I now have their entire collection; all EPs, all CDs. There is not a bad song on any of them. They STILL do not know how to sound bad and I don't believe they ever will.
Some people think Miyako is some kind of cold femme fatale when they see her in stage but she isn't like that. She is just a nerdy, introspective girl who also is very concentrated when she plays. But she is a really sweet person if you see her out of the stage. Both this songs are really good but this concert is always blocked in Japan, so we recommend the versions that they played at the Five of a Kind show. Yeah the lyrics are always interesting, Asami, the singer, is who writes them. We the United is a song about humanity working together.
Miyako doesn't need to smile, she just needs to stand there and shred your face off on her guitar. And besides, Midori smiles enough for both of them, and Fami is also a big smiler.
Miyako always focused on music and enjoys music. She smiles a lot, but not as much as other members. She has fun with her own way! If you want a heavier song choose "Set the world on fire" on their official UA-cam channel. Also, there is a song "Break the wall" which is very heavy too. Thank you for your reaction. Waiting for more Lovebites on the channel!
Great reaction, I think yours are amongst my top three for their thoughtful content. Asami is my favourite band member (by a hairs breadth) and it’s criminal how little recognition outside of the standard reaction channels that she gets. By that I mean that I’ve asked serious vocal coaches who I respect to check her out, and they just don’t. One did, to Holy War, said how utterly amazed she was, and then…zip. Yet other vocalists get disproportionately more attention. Asami has said that she sings every song as if it’s her last, and it shows. She puts real feeling into every note of every song and then every word of her MC work in between. The section in “Heavy Metal Never Dies” before “Glory to the World”, in which she describes her feelings during Covid, and how she thought she might never be able to stand in front of an audience again, whilst valiantly fighting back tears defeats me every time. Mine can’t be stopped!. Asami is a world class vocalist and front woman to a world class band who are peerless. I love her and I love them and I feel very proud to count myself as a fan. Especially with “We the United” which is very much a Wolfpack anthem.
when it comes to picking which guitarist I like better it always seems to be the one who is playing the solo at the moment... makes it tough when they are playing twin leads... dang musicians... lol
Lovebites were too awesome to ignore especially live performances. Asami wrote almost all of their song lyrics and it was filled with uplifting and meaningful lines. Miyako was gorgeous in her unique appearance. Great reaction, two songs in a roll👍👍🤘🤘
In my personal book of greatness: Iron Maiden in 1982, Helloween in 1985. Then the desert. arid, boring. deadly. Then Lovebites in 2015. I am alive again Peace out.
Imagine playing a whole set at Lovebites intensity, and then doing three of your biggest songs for an encore. In their 2020 concert they did exactly that, with these two songs.
Bro HG, With respect to their physical endurance, i have no doubt about their relentless performance for that 2 hour over duration. as these ladies are petite, light footed and looks fit to run the distance. But what amazes me is their brain power, the capacity to contain about 18 to 20 compositions in memory and with precise reproducibility: for the length of the concert. Lovebites songs as we know are not the me too type of compositions, extracting the best from the musicians, resulting into a complex scheme of things, including harmonized riffs, octave variations, and dual and sync guitar solos and time signature dynamics that leaves no room to stray for exquisite perfect execution. These ladies seem suspiciously not human, especially the effortless endeavor, akin to robots with Artificial Intelligence running the algorithms programmed and implanted in their brains. Perhaps the only giveaway that professes their humanity is both Miyako and Asami being mothers now.😁
You should check out Lovebites' two other ~":E" songs -"Epilogue" and "Empty Daydream" and for another long harmonised solo "Signs of Deliverance". Lovebites' lyrics, nearly all written by Asami, are always very positive and uplifting and at times poetic.

No band exists in a vacuum and has no influences. Every band is put into a genre of music which makes them already compared to other bands within that genre. Led Zepellin was constantly being referred to as influenced by blues artists, Maiden was compared to Judas Priest, Oasis to the Beatles, Tool is an offshoot of Pink Floyd and so on. It is natural to hear influences and it is not an insult to a band to hear the influences in their music. Even the musicians themselves cite their influences openly and don't pretend that their music solely sprang from their own imaginations alone. Music is almost always a new take on an existing influence vocally and instrumentally. It doesn't take anything away from the band to recognize that.
If you do Winds of Transylvania find the live version, Midori's guitar will blow you away and if you want to see Myako having fun and smiling try Spellbound live from Ride For Vengeance tour, she plays synth and Keytar

Interesting that you chose the "Daughters of the Dawn" version of these two songs rather than the "Five of a Kind" versions, but it doesn't really matter. I think they're a little smoother on FoaK, but the ladies bring so much skill and energy here that it's still a wonderful watch. I don't have a preference on anyone's outfit or hair, they always look beautiful, though I will say I'm glad Asami ditched the dress from Wacken 2018. She looked great and all, but I do not know how it stayed on her. Also, Midori's smile would be the second-best smile in all of Japanese metal with Beni from Wagakki Band taking the bronze medal and *adult* Moa from Babymetal in first place.
That wasn't the end of the show. They came back and did an encore. They closed the show with "Under The Red Sky", which you seriously need to check out.

I completely agree with you about the lyrics in We The United, so much wisdom and very uplifting! Haruna on the drums is one member of the band that is always smiling, she's the happiest drummer in metal lol! Break The Wall and M.D.O. are both very different from these 2 songs but equally great. Great reaction, Ken!
This band encapsulates flawless perfection. Thank you for reacting to them! FYI, today they released the video for the song “Judgement Day “ and it’s AMAZING! Their first video playing new music with Fami, the new bass player. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷
Miyako is a classical trained pianist. She plays guitar from when she was 18. She write much of the music and when you hear a 2e voice... Miyako;. Multi talented.
Adam ant eh!! I went straight to that song after this, I remember when it first come out. Coverdale is a good choice in relation to Asami just like Bruce Dickenson in other areas. Incidently I have seen all three singers live. I really like all your 80's band references but you missed one out, Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath who never smiled while playing guitar, I remember him standing there playing like a Victorian automaton!! One last thing the 2020 version of these two songs were refined for the better, so in your own time check them out!! Im done here love your enthusiastic reactions 😎🤟
out of the 3 'e' songs 'empty daydream' is the one where you will find some amazing call and response from miho and miyako and perfect harmonized backup from miyako. a truly beautiful song that starts with a great keyboard piece from miyako and asami's tender vocal. from this same concert : ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html
Yes, it's definitely Miyako over Midori. Both are great players, but Miyako is more versatile and more lyrical as well as musical in her playing. I would without hesitation place her in a blues band, knowing that she would do a great job playing the blues. She comes from a classical background just like Ritchie Blackmore who she names as a great influence. And while Midori might be technically even slightly superior, Miyako is just adding more colours and emotion. Having said that: with Midori at your side you know you will rock any audience. That can't necessarily be said about Miyako.

One of the reactions to these 2 songs that I've enjoyed most. Have you reacted to any of their work since they returned from hiatus with a terrific new bass player? Judgement Day is a masterpiece you could sink your teeth into. And other new work and performances. I think they're hitting their stride.
I am finally getting back to reactions very soon and will give that one a go. Really love these ladies abilities, songwriting and stage presence. I look forward to seeing the new bassist as well.
Miyako is very focused and not such a show person as Midori is on stage, but, same song, only a few years later - Miyako can also laugh on stage - even if she once - with a glance - admonishes Fami, the young new grandiose bassist Fami, successor of Miho in the band.
Or any out of stage interview or her home videos - she's actually an adorable nerdy and rather shy smiling lady, loving Star Wars, her reptiles and other pets and assembling guitars in her time off. And stunning of course
Or watch her and Midori joining Dragonforce playing "Farming Simulator": ua-cam.com/video/KnGPZxfOAmg/v-deo.html Or the entire band supporting Dragonforce doing a cover of "My Heart Will Go On": ua-cam.com/video/mWVwdGi9ixI/v-deo.html
We The United is filled with great lines, so is Edge of the World. I strongly urge you to go back on your own time and listen to this again and focus solely on the lyrics. You will be inspired.
I don't think I've ever watched one of your reaction videos that was not on The Warning. Very cool. I am loving these all female metal/rock bands that are coming out of Asia. I don't feel like they are coming out of what I call the "Puppy Mill" of music. (Edit: The singer reminds me of Bruce Dickenson. He did minimal running around but concentrated more on projecting to the crowd.)
Everything Lovebites is phenominal.. releasing their new album soon, and just announced a new video coming up, with their new bassist Fami..She is going to add a new dimension to this stellar band of Metal Queens !
I love that Miyako is so stoic, it just makes it that special when she does show outward emotion, like she is letting us into her inner world just a bit. There are two of my favorite songs so not a bad way to start a day. Nice reaction. Peace.
Another great reaction Ken. You've seen enough of the ladies now to start realizing just what you've gotten into - the Best Metal band going right now. And now they are moving forward again with Fami (20yr old bass phenom) as the new bassist after a year-long hiatus (Miho left for personal reasons in August of 2021). They will have a New Album Release 02/22/23 - Judgement Day - MV of the title track will be released on Christmas Eve! And, if you really want to see Miyako's Smile, in all it's beauty and honesty - check out Spellbound - yet Another totally different flavor from these amazing young women ua-cam.com/video/NwanJYb9A_w/v-deo.html . 🤘🐺🤘
Anyone who can't feel Miyako's passion and emotion in her playing doesn't have any feelings in their body. Also, she is the only one you will see/hear singing harmonies with Asami. All three guitar players sing back up a lot, but not harmonies.
An excellent performance but not their best for Edge of the World. Miyako makes a few mistakes in this one, but not noticeable on a first listen. Her best solo for this song is from their performance in Zepp DiverCity for their Five of a Kind recording. She hits some really nice pinch harmonics. Asami's performance is also much better in the Zepp show.
A while back, a reactor asked me if there was any sounds Lovebites can't make; I said yeah, bad ones. I now have their entire collection; all EPs, all CDs. There is not a bad song on any of them. They STILL do not know how to sound bad and I don't believe they ever will.
Lovebites - Epilogue live of course. You re gonna love that one for sure
Some people think Miyako is some kind of cold femme fatale when they see her in stage but she isn't like that. She is just a nerdy, introspective girl who also is very concentrated when she plays. But she is a really sweet person if you see her out of the stage.

Look at Miyako's body language when she's playing. She's feeling the music, all right. Nothing cold about it at all.
@Hadesillo Miyako puts her passion into her fingers when she's playing.
Miyako doesn't need to smile, she just needs to stand there and shred your face off on her guitar. And besides, Midori smiles enough for both of them, and Fami is also a big smiler.
Miyako always focused on music and enjoys music. She smiles a lot, but not as much as other members. She has fun with her own way!

another song that Miyako sings backup is Empty Daydream. ua-cam.com/video/NTawLj-bEOM/v-deo.html
dancing with the devil by them is Asami's absolute best sassy performance

Miyako and Midori: Yin and Yang, Night and Day. They make each other greater.
Well said!
when it comes to picking which guitarist I like better it always seems to be the one who is playing the solo at the moment... makes it tough when they are playing twin leads... dang musicians... lol
Mastermind, Warning Shot and The Unbroken. Songs that don't get the respect and reactions that they deserve.

I can not add anything that has not already been said. They are one of the best bands out there today and are my favorite band!
LOVEBITES - Edge Of The World lyrics:
Why do we learn to hate, deceive and lie, hurt each other?
Why does it never end? The sorrow keeps on repeating
Wailing, come downpours of the rain
Will it end? No one ever knows
Wondering, what only time can tell
What is at the end of life?
Why do we only see our own desires? Greed is endless
Why is there authority when there is no justice in their rulings
Struggling like feeble, helpless fools
Will it end? No one ever knows
Wandering, not knowing where to go
Carrying the breath of life
SOLO: miyako
Standing at… The Edge of the World
SOLO: midori / both / midori
As long as you're still alive, remember
- don't fear standing up, don't ever give it up
Until the day you meet your end, it's not over
- let your soul shine inside of your heart
SOLO: midori
As long as you're still alive, remember
- keep your dignity, stay true to who you are
Until the day you meet your end, it's not over
- let your heart love and always be loved
SOLO: midori
How you live will always live on
As your way of life, forever
How you live will always live on
As your way of life, forever
How you live will always live on
As your way of life, forever

LOVEBITES - We The United lyrics:
The silent dawn has been broken
Our fate has now been decided for good
Innocence can never be regained
Blissful ignorance turns into guilt and shame
We must first learn to give and understand
That no one is able to live alone
There is no need to be perfect
Everyone has their own problems and faults
Everything is indispensable,
Every person is worthy and valuable
Don’t give up on your life, fight for what’s right
Live on and keep searching for answers
We shall go forth
Prideful, we stand united
We can create miracles
Always, there is a way
SOLO: both
Humans are greedy and selfish
Wanting attention more than the respect
Recognize the pain that others hide
Have the strength to fight even for someone else
People who’ve never made real enemies
Have never stood up for what they believe
We shall go forth
Prideful, we stand united
We can create miracles
Always, there is a way
Always, I will be here
Always, we will be there

Since I have done all of the new album I will be doing a lot more of other artists with some Warning thrown in whenever they do something new.

Miyako, the Silent Assassin.
