EXCITING UPDATE: I've listened to your feedback about the audio and have updated this tutorial with custom captions (in English) . I can be very soft spoken and I'm working on getting better about this. Thank you again for all your feedback and support! 💖
Your voice is great like it it! 😃I really love listening to how you are speaking. Also in the tutorials you made earlier : your voice is very very beautiful. 😊 Your making a good job!
I'm glad this is helpful! PNG is a bigger file, but better for the sake of the integrity of the image. jpgs have a tendency to lose quality each time it is opened and saved again. Also PNGs that are saved as transparent backgrounds can make coloring easier, but not all PNGs are transparent. To save line art with transparent backgrounds in Sketchbook, make sure to turn off the background layer before saving so that it doesn't save it as a solid fill bg.
Thank you very much for the video! I saw your comment on Jamieisfierce and I just wanted to look at your changel and what do I see? Great Content. Why are you all so untreated? I don't understand that! I like your Videos and your great Ideas! .......................................................................................................... Hope you keep on the good work (because I am sure your gonna be famouse same for Jamieisffierce) and stay safe!
Hello! To get fewer edge gaps with the fill bucket, lower the number on the slider at 5:01 in the video along the top tool bar. I have mine set to 120 but change yours to the number that works best with your line art
Yeaaah I had some technical difficulties with the camera battery 🔋 and had to get a second charger before I could finish. Was really tired haha 😅 but I hope worth it in the end
@@PerryPictures At the start I was trying what you were doing like changing the background to grey and locking the thing so the colouring what go over the lines. But it wasn’t working so I got frustrated and gave up, like I have no idea what I was doing wrong.
If you’re importing an image to lock transparency and recolor the lines, make sure it’s a png with a transparent background. If the png has a solid white background instead of transparency it’ll work just like a jpg unfortunately. If you’re drawing a sketch on a new layer and then locking transparency to recolor those lines, the padlock in the corner of the layer will work, but not the padlock in the circular menu if you use that one… it locks the layer entirely. I hope that helps to identify the problem
@@PerryPicturesI just want to get good at digital colouring why is this so difficult it’s like if Jeremy Clarkson made it it’s so “stupidly” complicated I’m not building a rocket. Also when I figure out how colouring without going over the lines but when I use the paint bucket it doesn’t work it covers the entire page Except for the the heard’s lines I was trying to colour in!!
I am sorry it's been a struggle to learn. A really easy quick fix is to set your lineart to “multiply” blend mode and make sure it’s the top layer - then on your color layer below that, when using fill bucket tools, make sure the “sample all layers” icon is turned on. If the fill bucket won’t work wjhen sample all layers is on it means the lines have gaps or the tolerance is too high . I show you where to find all that info in the vid 😊 I really hope this helps!
Super awesome. I'm switching from traditional to digital and your this sketchbook coloring tutorial is one of the best tutorial for sketchbook. Other videos don't come to the point directly and make it too difficult. I would really like to share the art once I color it as it would be my first digital art. Do let me know If I can follow you on Instagram.
I'm so glad you found this helpful and I'd be delighted to see your first digital artwork on instagram. You can tag it to me, my IG link is in the video description. I look forward to seeing it there!

Thank you so much for providing this video it helps me a lot. I was wondering if png is better to use for coloring vs jpeg?

Excellent 😊 have fun!
Every time I use the bucket tool to fill in color, the edges aren't filled. How do I fill the line art completely?
