Paul and Winters both. I love Paul but winters steady and continuous friendly banter and support, inc. cheering his foes dice rolls, makes them both a pleasure to watch
Narrative battles with Paul are the best battles. Awesome Chaos army too as before - love the Warsmith. Incompetent coward or scheming genius? You decide! The whole army was brimming with personality, loved watching every minute of it.
SorcererDave I sure I'm not alone when I say I would love to see some real 40k batt reps on your youtube. Or maybe even as a guest on one of the usual subjects' channels. wink wink nudge nudge haha
If your struggling finding games I reckon you want to try getting down to your local gaming club/GW. I'd not touched a miniature since 2nd edition before 8th dropped. All it took was swallowing that crippling social anxiety and I've not looked back since haha plus met a lot of good people.
I play once a week at my local GW store, but finding people there who are willing to cart their stuff to my house and who aren't afraid to appear on a youtube video is easier said than done, lol. Lots of folks are camera shy, both for themselves and their models (can you blame them really - the 40k batrep comments sections are utterly without mercy sometimes). Plus you need a steady stream of folks with different armies to make it work. I'd love to do it but I don't find myself in the fortunate circumstances that most batreppers on YT do.
Ah. its a shame about that. Still can't shake the thought of how amazing a narrative campaign written and edited for your channel could be after seeing the quality of the narratives you make in your LPs. like you say though maybe some day.
I know I’m about 6 months late to this particular party (though I’m pretty sure I watched it when it came out), but I’ve been binge watching some of your battle reports lately. I have just got to say- my favorite videos are the ones that guest star that magnificently mirthful mountain of a man, Paul! You two are a recipe for a guaranteed great game- and your armies are incredibly well-painted, as well. Thank you both for a wonderfully enjoyable video- if I could double-sub to your channel or double-like your videos, I would. As always, I’m looking forward to the next video!
When SEO was explaining the game I saw this hint of awesomeness in the top right of the camera and thought to myself ‘hold on, that’s Paul!’ Great to see you again on the channel^^
Some issues Winters SEO: 1. Falling back means you can't shoot. Unless you have a stratagem, or ability that lets you. 2. When rolling for units within transports that have been destroyed, you must roll all of the D6 together and then you pick which models die. Regardless, it was a fun match!
I watch your battle reports every day when I need to relax and focus on something other than my anxiety. I know a lot of folks have nice things to say, but I just wanted to say thanks for providing these and keeping me sane sometimes. lol
I love watching you two guys play. I hold you both up as the epitome of good gamesmanship to my son because you just enjoy playing the game and you revel in each other's successes.
just getting into 40k, love your channel. BRING BACK PAUL! He is by far the funniest cohort on your Batreps and the commentary with the two of yall is on point.
Please please PLEASE do more batreps with Paul he is an amazing personality, I wish I had anyone half as vibrant and exciting to play 40k with! haha! Great game, great armies, beautifully put together as always Winters.
I really like how sporting you both are, you remind each other of rules that will be bad for your own army and check the codex's and rules to make sure you're being honest. You see so many bat-reps where people don't do that and it really annoys me, kudos to you both.
This was awesome! Great narrative, great armies, great guest. One tip for you Winters, overcharge your Plasma more, it's much more effective, and if you're rerolling ones there's little reason not to. Glory to the Penitent Forge and Forgemoon Deimos!
A thriller to the end. Thanks for the batrep. Love the nareative plays and espescially with Paul.. i was walking for the in-character orc-voice but alas😊
Great table, beautiful armies and fun narrative play? Didn't know people played like this with all the competitive content everywhere, reminds me of when i was in the hobby as a youngling (minus the beautiful armies and table ofc!). You and Paul's battle reports are slowly bringing me back into the fold. Well done!
What a great battle!!! Love to see Paul on the channel again, he’s very animated which just adds a lot of fun to the batrep!!! Look forward to the next batrep bud!!
Paul's Traitor Marines are gorgeous! I'm not keen on Marines, and I'm not that keen on Chaos, but I could see myself collecting a small army of Iron Warriors.
Hi Marshall Blalack, it's not really an issue, it's just that I can't get excited enough to collect an army. I've just bought a squad of five Deathwatch dudes to go with the ones I got with the Overkill game, and I'll probably supplement them with a few Dark Angels from the Dark Vengeance set, painted up as Deathwatch dudes as well. I've even designed my own chapter and some fluff to back it up. It's a revival of an idea I had 20 years ago, before life got in the way. It's a successor to the Imperial Fists, but with a few quirks. But, whilst I love the history of the Adeptus Astartes, the Primarchs and the Crusade, I find the idea of collecting my Guard army so much more appealing. I like how the design queues are taken from real world historic forces, and working with that when building my regiments back story and painting the models. Maybe I'll come back to my chapter idea a bit later once I've painted up the Guard that I've got.
Marshall Blalack, they will once they are done! I've based their lore on the British forces of WW1, but wearing the red coats of previous centuries. The characters are based on Wellington and other officers of the Peninsula War.
I think if Paul had focused his Alpha strike on the Admech forces outside the buildings (specifically the Dunecrawlers) instead of on the buildings themselves then this might have been a very different game. Who knows though! This game was awesome keep up the good work Winters!
Awsome game guys perfect start to a campaign! Paul get some more rhinos! rhino rush and charge lock up units with cheap rhinos with duel combi bolters!
Well played. Well painted. Well done. I would recommend that you do not remove vehicles that have not blown. Just mark them as smoking. That way you have dynamic cover and a gameboard that tells a story.
Great idea with auras mate, I hope GW consider FAQing the rules to do the same. Maybe GW could then add a Stratagem that will let the building project character auras like the Astra Militarum have for chimeras projecting character orders. I also hope they fix buildings so they can transport multiple units like a vehicle.
1:15:33 That slip. "big squad in the biddle" :D The chaos player should have opened by firing at the robots/onagers. Those things are freaking scary. Go to 1:35:13 for the best moment in the whole video
Nice battle report! Note for winters, you can't use the same strategem twice in the same phase... you used reroll a dice twice in your first turn shooting phase.
Designate 17 still had his Dunecrawlers and 1950's Robots, so he's relatively pleased at the outcome. Ceramite Walls can be rebuilt, Machine Spirit recovery is much more complicated.
Paul is a paragon of this hobby.
SiberianGnome my thoughts exactly. He IS the iron warriors
Paul’s here. +10 Watchability Modifier activated.

Heh, maybe some day. I lack willing participants at the moment unfortunately, so no proper batreps from me yet. :P
If your struggling finding games I reckon you want to try getting down to your local gaming club/GW. I'd not touched a miniature since 2nd edition before 8th dropped. All it took was swallowing that crippling social anxiety and I've not looked back since haha plus met a lot of good people.

Paul and his army are awesome! i love how he talks about the fluff!
Glad you care for your country
Paul is awesome. All around nice fellow, and a chaos player to boot.
PAUL IS BAAAACK! Hell yeah
+VasilitheRocker. Oh yeah!
got to say really enjoy seeing him on the channel xD looks really fun to play a game against
Paul is definitely entertaining and he's a faithful modeler and narrative buff, I like it
Paul is freaking great. Not to imply that Winters isn't, the two of you together are absolutely delightful.
Anthony Paoli Why thank you :-)
But he is using a name of a hero for us Capt. Winters
Does nobody know about Winters . That is so sad. He isnthe only guy ever to get a little big item for him
I see no uts only wirks to help him get money . I'm glad I know where yoy stand if we show up
No love

Paul reminds me of Brian Blessed
I like this guy!! Winters, you guys should do a regular campaign! The two of you are awesome! So entertaining!
I would actually like to sit through a long apocalypse game with these two. They handle large battles really well.
I would call into work and watch this if that happened
This paul guy is an absolute legend. Love him being on the channel winters. Great narrative game and loving the narration from the both of you
Ali bongo123 :-D
When SEO was explaining the game I saw this hint of awesomeness in the top right of the camera and thought to myself ‘hold on, that’s Paul!’ Great to see you again on the channel^^
Burdie Birdie Cheers pal
Paul is such a roleplayer I love it. Also that Tower of Redemption is damn cool.
David Szkipala Cheers Pal :)
He quotes Lord of The Rings...
He's my New favorit quest :D
Of course Brian Blessed would quote LotR.
Jan Bos when does he quote lotr?
6:49
Jan Bos i
Im glad you are happy we just got hoodwinked
Still coming back to this video, army quality and narrative are just that good.
Only 30min in, this batrep rules! The passion and the backstory makes it so much more awesome
Paul embodies the spirit of the hobby. So much fun. He's the kind of opponent that I love to play against 👍
Some issues Winters SEO:
1. Falling back means you can't shoot. Unless you have a stratagem, or ability that lets you.
2. When rolling for units within transports that have been destroyed, you must roll all of the D6 together and then you pick which models die.
Regardless, it was a fun match!
This was better than reading any fantasy novel. Love listening to someone who is so passionate and knowledgeable of the lore of any game.
I watch your battle reports every day when I need to relax and focus on something other than my anxiety. I know a lot of folks have nice things to say, but I just wanted to say thanks for providing these and keeping me sane sometimes. lol
You're welcome
Paul is so Awesome, please, please make sure keep him happy, keep him around, keep him talking because his banter is A+
I love watching you two guys play. I hold you both up as the epitome of good gamesmanship to my son because you just enjoy playing the game and you revel in each other's successes.
Nine months later and this is probably the best battle I've seen to date. I love these narrative battles.
just getting into 40k, love your channel. BRING BACK PAUL! He is by far the funniest cohort on your Batreps and the commentary with the two of yall is on point.
Paul is awesome for narrative games. It's great that he's got a whole story for his army.
We love Paul.
Sigoke Cheers buddy.
This was awesome! Great narrative, great armies, great guest. One tip for you Winters, overcharge your Plasma more, it's much more effective, and if you're rerolling ones there's little reason not to. Glory to the Penitent Forge and Forgemoon Deimos!
Great battle report fun was had as always Paul's army looked good and so did yours and Paul brings the same amount of enthusiasm to all his games.
I could listen to you and Paul talk about 40k games of old. I love this kind of batrep - well done!
Paul rules, everyone is right to sing his praise, love you Paul, love this community for appreciating Paul
A thriller to the end. Thanks for the batrep. Love the nareative plays and espescially with Paul.. i was walking for the in-character orc-voice but alas😊
Winters this batrep was great, really amazing! I would love to see more games exactly with this with AWESOME PAUL. More paul will always be welcome.
Love these batreps! Great explanations, great terrain, amazing armies, and cool dudes playin
Awesome battle gentlemen. its always a pleasure to watch your channel.
This was awesome! More Paul please... love the narrative fun narrative games Winters
Legends.. awesome narrative batrep keep them coming.
Wow! That was just awesome! Man, I love the narrative missions. What a fantastic game. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing, Winters.
Fantastic battle report. Really enjoyed the attackers vs. defenders twist.
This is my favorite one still. Lists, paint jobs, scenery, game mode, game play. Superior.
Great table, beautiful armies and fun narrative play? Didn't know people played like this with all the competitive content everywhere, reminds me of when i was in the hobby as a youngling (minus the beautiful armies and table ofc!). You and Paul's battle reports are slowly bringing me back into the fold. Well done!
Great game guys and the armies looked awesome, the scenario you played out was really great to watch. Cheers.
Well done Winters and Paul! That was bloody brilliant. Nothing quite like a few "ooh"s here and there to let us know Winters is having a blast.
Paul's giggling as Winters rolls all the hits and wounds on the Black Legion squad was fantastic, what a great sport!
Paul is a top guy, we love him on the channel :-)
The terrain in this game is sick. Replacing the destroyed fortifications with rubble and "smoke" was dope.
Holly emperor them armies are brilliant look forward to finishing this 👍
Ya Paul has a great imagination , good lore for his army looks great thanks for sharing
That could be the most gorgeus Iron warriors army i have ever seen... Great game ! thanks for the effort guys!
Beautiful armies and table!
I have decided to pop back here. This was the first video I watched of warhammer and you a reason I got into it. I would like to thank you for this
Cheers
What a great battle!!! Love to see Paul on the channel again, he’s very animated which just adds a lot of fun to the batrep!!! Look forward to the next batrep bud!!
Yassssssss. More batreps like this. Awesome fight, always love watching chaos on your channel.
"Let's shoot stuff." Good man, Winters. Good man. Love these battle reports, love this channel.
Great game Winters. Looking forward to seeing the next game when you face Paul.
Love this narrative way, the story comes out so well so much more interesting, awesome watching the two of you play :)
Kim Jensen Thanks :)
Paul's Traitor Marines are gorgeous! I'm not keen on Marines, and I'm not that keen on Chaos, but I could see myself collecting a small army of Iron Warriors.
Mikey R Thanks. Good to hear :)
Out of curiosity, what is it you've an issue with with the Space Marines?
Hi Marshall Blalack, it's not really an issue, it's just that I can't get excited enough to collect an army. I've just bought a squad of five Deathwatch dudes to go with the ones I got with the Overkill game, and I'll probably supplement them with a few Dark Angels from the Dark Vengeance set, painted up as Deathwatch dudes as well.

Maybe I'll come back to my chapter idea a bit later once I've painted up the Guard that I've got.
Fair enough, but that chapter does sound lovely, as does the Deathwatch and the Guard army. I bet they look fantastic.
Marshall Blalack, they will once they are done! I've based their lore on the British forces of WW1, but wearing the red coats of previous centuries. The characters are based on Wellington and other officers of the Peninsula War.
Another great Bat Rep against a great opponent.
my favorite channel on youtube.
I could listen to Paul talk about his army all day
Yay! Paul! Your Word Bearer army is absolutely astonishing! I am looking very much forward to seeing your Iron Warriors in action!
LardXray :-)
I'm so glad Paul is back, he's awesome!!
letsplaywithsanchez Thanks :-)
I love when you have Hi Paul on.
YES PAUL!! When i saw his lower body in the shot on the bunkers I was like “ please be Paul please be Paul” 😂
Fantastic seig what an entertaining battle. These are some of my favorite models of Paul's right now, is world bearers are awesome too.
Praise the Omnissiah! Winters uploaded!
IRON WITHIN! IRON WITHOUT! Not often I get to see fellow IVth legion, it's a welcome sight
Excited for this one
I love all of Paul's old models. I still have a couple 2nd ed Space Marines kicking around with the old Flamers.
'Grab some psychopaths and kill anything that moves...' How to summarise all Chaos armies...
Nice batrap, your opponent is a cool guy very knowledgeable and adds some extra flavour to the battle 👍🏽
It is incredible how useless the Vindicators were this game. Poor Paul and his rolls.
yay Paul us back! This batrep was epic what a game.
Fantastic game Winters, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Fantastic battle. Paul is such a lovely guy. And this discussion 1:28:12 made me laugh so hard.
I think if Paul had focused his Alpha strike on the Admech forces outside the buildings (specifically the Dunecrawlers) instead of on the buildings themselves then this might have been a very different game.
Who knows though! This game was awesome keep up the good work Winters!
You and Paul have amazing synergy!
More "SAY HI PAUL" Winters! He is awesome, sort of bloke you want to play against on the regular.
Not to be mean to your other guests, but I am so pleased Paul's back. Favourite guest.
Those Kastelan robots... they were as good as those vindercators were bad. Lol. I really liked this batrep. More Paul please?
Great game! I really enjoyed watching the report
Dear lord, I spontaneously started clapping like a weenie when I saw Paul was back. Gonna watch the BR now. EEEEEEE.

1:15:33 That slip. "big squad in the biddle" :D
The chaos player should have opened by firing at the robots/onagers. Those things are freaking scary.
Go to 1:35:13 for the best moment in the whole video
Warsmith gets a medal, he does not care how. Paul you are awesome mate.
The Claw Thank you my friend :)
Loved it!
very nice chaos army list. absolutly fantastic fluffy.
Great game, did not expect that ending. very fitting.
Paul is aces, genuinely makes me laugh with his in character rantings, much fun.
Paul is a large, friendly man I like him
You need to play against Paul more often!
fantastic video .... did think you would snatch it at the Death. But overall a fair result :)
Nice battle report! Note for winters, you can't use the same strategem twice in the same phase... you used reroll a dice twice in your first turn shooting phase.
make that three times!
+xebetax. That's for matched play. This was a narrative mission
ok, thanks!
Dem glorious retro dreadnaughts.
Man I wish I could play a game with you guys. Super cool
Need more games with Paul!!
Designate 17 still had his Dunecrawlers and 1950's Robots, so he's relatively pleased at the outcome. Ceramite Walls can be rebuilt, Machine Spirit recovery is much more complicated.
"Iron within, Iron wi- oh dear."
Paul is my muse
