- The people over at Ferventoys wanted to send me a couple of blasters to check out and give my opinion on, and the first one up is a pretty interesting double barrel blaster that fits right into what I already enjoy with my Buzz Bee Double Shots and Adventure Force Double Fire. The big question is of course, is it worth the cost they're selling it for?

I appreciate your integrity, and I share your opinion. It's cool, but not $50 cool. Although we're suffering from runaway inflation in this country right now, I still can't justify 50 bucks for a 30 dollar (at best) blaster. Good review.
Thanks! Despite what some might think, I always try to be bluntly honest even when a company has sent me a blaster to review. I actually do like the thing, it just needs to be more appropriately priced. As is, the Adventure Force Double Fire is $10 and does pretty much all that this does, and if the shells are the selling point, the Buzz Bee Double Shot is $13 at Dollar General, or the Walking Dead version is $15. That's true value for me.
Alibaba has them for cheaper.
I was about to buy this because I thought it was cheap but I realized a foam a nature would be cheaper to build and it's a better hobby grade blaster with the same features

Yep, it went down from when I recorded this last evening to now. Still a bit high, as I'd like to see it in the $30 range, maybe $35.
The value is in the eye of the beholder as the saying goes, and some may want to buy it even at the price it is now, as it really is a decent blaster with a lot of fun factor.

I have a couple of versions of this blaster. This one, another one slightly longer and made from nylon and metal internals and they both fire short darts just fine. And i love your idea of converting it to boomco
This one fired shorts fine, I just ended up mostly testing with full lengths. The shells that came with this required you to really be sure to seat the short darts fully in or you'd lose some performance. Just became easier to run full lengths, but shorts were fine if you loaded them properly.

Hey, this one could actually be viable to convert for Boomco, just needs different shells. Compared to the the Double Shot, this has more power to put behind the straws.

Certainly seems solid enough to handle a spring upgrade, might have to try and figure out which spring will work.
@@MongooseJakeNerf I saw somebody tune it but I don't remember who or what they used or even what group it was at I think it was at the K 26 or something like that but again don't hold me through I know somebody has done it in the community

Absolutely, it's a fun and fairly good quality blaster, but I can't comfortably recommend it at too high of a price. Needs to be $30 or so and then it'd be a fair purchase.
A shame this is most likely a straight knockoff/clone of Ehdrien's design (the foam-a-nature). I hate seeing chinese companies stealing community designs.
Only difference I see here is size, its made smaller for the elite shells it looks like, rather than spring thunder shells.
So I won't personally be getting one of these. Glad you got sent one tho, I do like it when companies send influencers things, especially channels on the smaller side, comparatively.
Could you mod this so it does not need to use shells ? I was wondering if you could drill out the back of the shells and disable the ejectors so you can feed in two darts into the rear of the barrel. Gets round the need to both use the shell cases and having to try to recover the shells after being ejected
You absolutely could do that mod. Wouldn't be too hard, and honestly I was kind of planning to snag another one of these to do exactly that, but with some pvc replacing the shells in that mod, and then I'd have extra shells for the one I still wanted to use them with. I'll likely still do that mod, once money permits.
I loved the nerf barrel break years ago and the buzzbee one too, so i had to get this, i got this a few months back under a different name

Ha. On their Amazon page they cut off your video right before you mention it’s overpriced. But they did drop it down to $35.
At $35 I'd be on board with it fully. At $50, it was just too much in my opinion.
Seems to be on sale for forty dollars as of the time I checked, but that's still high for me. At thirty....maybe we could talk. Maybe. Shame, because it's a very cool little blaster.
My feelings exactly, just a bit too high to be able to whole heartedly recommend. At $30 it'd be a sure thing for me, as it's basically an upgraded Buzz Bee Double Shot which is one of my top 5 favorite blasters of all time.
Be careful with dropping the blaster I dropped mine and it snapped instantly

I want to like it, its a neat design, but it's another rip off of a community blaster. It's a Foam-a-nature with a tweaked selector switch.
I mean, the designs are similar but not directly the same, just as you could basically compare this to being a altered Buzz Bee Double Shot, which the Foam-A-Nature could also be said to be basically a upgraded Double Shot that's 3d printed.
I tend to allow some design similarity leeway as many products end up being pretty similar even if they're not copies of each other. We'd have to draw the line somewhere, or all semi-auto flywheelers are Stryfe rip offs (you could make the case that the Spectrum is a rip off of the Stryfe for example, yet it's universally praised), or that all top primers are Buzz Bee Champion or Nerf Recon copies.
I'm not defending copies, I'm 100% against anyone ripping off anyone else's work and selling as their own. However, we've gotta slow down on what's actually a copy and what isn't in my opinion. Just my humble rant, not directed at you at all though and I might end up doing a Foam Flinging Chat specifically on this topic as it's been weighing on me for quite a while now.
There is nothing else in the hobby that looks or works quite like this, with a large plunger tube housed in an angled main grip using a large cylindrical pullback prime. It's a shameless and direct knockoff of the Foam A Nature, not any sort of convergent design. It even uses the same proportions as Scout's Force A Nature from TF2, which was the inspiration for the Foam A Nature.
This violates the Geneva convention
Okay first of all you need to do more research this is a 3D printed stolen design from Edrian and it was called the foam a nature and it took spring thunder shells, for a company to reproduce and sell this which I'm pretty sure it's stolen is wrong and the fact that they're selling it for 50 bucks is even more wrong it doesn't matter what they drop this to they need to get licensing from Edrian for his design please do more research when you review shady Chinese companies
