    Thank you for showing us the app as well, I'm happy to see that device management and organisation is much better than in the old app with the old gateway. I'll be switching to the new hub today. I have 15 different light sources in the living room alone and in the old app it was very complicated to organise them properly and assign correct remotes, basically I have so many "virtual" rooms which is so impractical especially when that migrates to Google Home. :)

    Very good video! Very impressed by Dirigera, decided to only connect Tradfri products - all ZigBee - no WiFi or Bluetooth, ZigBee is best because it "daisy chains" Connected the Dirigera to Alexa and using Alexa app can create paths (or zones) to control devices in different rooms as one path or zone.

    Such a great, clear and pleasant video! I have heard that the bulbs have to connect direct to the hub like you showed. Do you know if you can still also connect a remote to the bulbs too? If you can't, then if the hub is out of use for reset/upgrade/fault, you won't be able to turn your lights on!

    Well done. Got a question though. I have the Tradfri hub and have connected my blinds to it. Will I have to disconnect and go through the process again if I install the new Dirigera Hub.

    I am setting up book units and putting lights in it using the tradfri hubs. I assume I have to connect each individually to the dirigera but if the power goes off at some stage, will I have to resync them all back to the dirigera?

    Great video would you happen to know how to connect Ytberg and oversidan lights (command rodret)? I am struggling with it. I could connect the rodret command with your indications. But it doesn’t find the lights 😔.
    I fallowed you pairing with a bulb 💡 but didn’t work with Ytberg or oversidan lights….may you have an idea 😊. Thank you

    Very Good, Video! Clear and precise step by step description on setting up the Dirigera Hub. However I am a bit hesitant to switch from my existing Tradfri Hub to the Dirigera Hub, as I have 13 Tradfri LightBulbs with lots of automations in Apple Homekit. Is there a way to transfer all the light bulbs from Tradfri to Dirigera, without loosing the automations in Homekit? Or do you really have to add every single lightbulb to the Dirigiera one by one?

      Thank you very much! Unfortunately IKEA does not seem to have added any features for easy migration :/

    Hello fron Greece…i want to ask you something…if u have a tradfri hub with 10 bulbs for example can i transfer them to the dirigera ? Is it available? I dont want to have 2 hubs… or its necessary to delete them and start from the begging to add them to dirigera?

    • @techiedoodledoo
      @techiedoodledoo  Рік тому

      Unfortunately it still doesn't seem like IKEA has any features for easy transfer, meaning you will have to start over again and add the devices manually to the new hub.. :/

    Does the Dirigera need to stay hardwired to the router permanently or is it just necessary for setup?

    It's a great video but since I have like over 10 bulbs and several outlets, I'll think skip and stick to the my current older hub for now. I don't want to go through the hassle of having to unpair and pair them again. It's a dreadfully tedious process. If only the new hub allows easier migration from the older hub to the new one, that'd be good. But for now, I'd stick to what I have. Like they say, "don't fix something that's not broken [yet]".

    I'm repeatedly getting a message "hmm your hub isn't responding. Please disconnect and reconnect the power cable and let's try again" I do this and I have had no luck. I've also used a pin to reset several times. Any ideas? Thank you!

      @@zachjackson9484 I resolved by using a different router for setup. Then set a static IP for the hub on my eero router after setup was complete and the second router was disconnected. I also had thread network option disabled in the eero router. I did get it to work but reverted back to using the old Tradfri hub after this experience. The engineering of the new hub is awful and the Tradfri has been working fine since my original purchase. A case of why fix what's not broken I suppose. Good luck I spent nearly 6 hours getting the new hub working and ultimately decided to revert as any future troubleshooting would likely cause me to hate Sweden even more

    I have a problem that occurred to be often met. When it comes to connecting it with the app (first time, just purchased), it always says “can’t find hub”. It’s connected to the internet and the ring is pulsating. We have 2 WiFis (one router) and I tried with both and both phones don’t seem to find it. People on forums say it’s something with the IP, but I have no idea how to even get to it. Can anybody explain to me like to a five year-old 😅

      I just held the reset button using a pin til the red light flashed 4 times, and then did the set up again.. then it found the hub. Don’t know why this happens but seems to happen with most of them.
