If someone is walking through a crime scene and a cop says to get out of the crime scene the person must leave the crime scene. If they refuse they can charged with obstruction. Police can NOT put hands on the citizen unless they're charging em with a crime.

If the police are so concerned about someone walking thru a crime scene they need to follow protocol and put up tape. It's that damned simple. With tape up there is no need to engage with the public unless the public crosses the tape which is a clear violation of the law. Telling someone to get out of area with no clear boundaries is stupid beyond belief. If you have to tell me to get out of your imaginary crime scene that means I'm in it, which means it is now contaminated. Avoiding contamination of a crime scene is the main reason for putting up tape in the first damn place. Here's newsflash for you AL, not every crime dictates that there be a crime scene that needs to be established.
