It might be greedy, but I'm hoping they also allow us to use the original background with effect splits. Some cards just look best with the original art behind them. (Christina Chen Jubilee, or Rose Besch Psylocke)

Series drops is needed, imagine a point where we cant never get specific cards because there is too many s4-5 cards. This system needs series drops to work.

My theory with the martyr card is that they make it shit purposefully so that it stays true to its name.
Martyrs sacrifice themselves so the rest of the collective wins, her effect is the opposite, so your statement is by default incorrect.

@@ResolvedRage On the back of this martyrdom, I wonder if the card should do something if it makes you lose? Maybe half cubes lost or lose no cubes? That would be radical.
@@cylonsteve2511 Personally I think letting a card change cubes is bad for the game. Like how would that card work in conquest?
@@Anon-dw1yw Perhaps cubes may be too radical? Maybe extra resources (credit/gold/tokens)? It would be interesting to have an option for players with large collections to complete them and for lesser collection players to have a chance against martyr players.
Haha I forgot about Conquest, honestly 😅 I never had time for it.That would be a bad interaction especially if both players played Martyr.
There are many options for a better design. , Maybe just give it a good anti-destroy card? E.g. If a card(s) is destroyed at this location, destroy Martyr instead.

I think that the ability to sell your variants for tokens should be a feature that should come, I know at first it would be chaotic but once everyone sold everything they don’t care, then it wouldn’t be as crazy, easier to collect cards and variants that you actually want
Unfortunately you know pixels and maybe even babies/chibi variants will get you 100 tokens each or even only 50 tokens
Even if it was only duplicate variants, I'd even be OK if you needed to upgrade it to a certain level. 11 copies of the Armor base card are a waste. It doesn't even need to be a huge trade value.
IMO, I think cards like this make locations more scary. (Like Triskelion, District X) They become more risky, I think you get fed Martyr and have to play around it. That's kind of fun. But HUGE pass on this cache.

19:18 I was thinking that about the first week of each season. I like that week being no new spotlight card to really build my caches a bit. I see they are changing that soon and I'm like, damn. Can't I get a moment to catch my breath. Also two cards releasing same day one paid one not. It's wild.

I’ve been using blue-blocking/computer screen strain reducing glasses for years. They def help, especially at night. I keep pairs at home and in the office
The only deck I can understand Martyr *MAYBE* working in, would be some kind of Tribunal deck. Otherwise, Titania is always a superior pick.

I'm hoping for booster magnets; goes with the other items Cozy mentioned about clearing off the to do list. Those were mentioned almost a year ago and I think they'd help a lot when a new card releases and you want to aim for that specifically.

As Alex said, there is a huge gap between f2p players and those who pay. I have 2 keys and I need to be picky about the cards (and have luck) I play since the global release and I need to carefully think my steps.

They should make Martyr take the place of another card that is to be destroyed. Whether its within same location or whole field, that depends on her stats

I know it’s not happening, but if you played Martyr with High Evo and High Evo turned her into the ultimate Alioth counter, I would laugh my arse off.
I got high evo early in pool 3 from a spotlight cache so I've seen playing mostly him since. I also enjoy discard and have been experimenting with annihilus, but that's mostly it.
My brother only plays Mr Negative and occasionally destroy because he got knull from a cache

I've been theory crafting an old school Magik/She-Hulk/Infinaut deck that uses Martyr + Adam Warlock for consistency. Titania doesn't work because she'll flip sides when you play Adam.
If you want draw more cards from early this way, hawkeye makes more sense

@@MisterBadman no, adam warlock does, hawkeye just does the same thing as martyr but better in this situation since he's also a 1/4 after his effect activates and doesn't have a downside. Actually, hawkeye is a lot of the reason why martyr is shit, and hawkeye isnt even that good
@@Mydung1995 I have to overcommit to the lane with Hawkeye if I draw him turn 2 and I won't benefit until turn 4 if I draw him turn 3. He's a better turn 1 play to he sure, though.

I typically try to main whatever the season pass is till infinite. Post infinite I tend to jump around a bitm
28:20 I relate to this conversation so much. I only play 2 decks, JaneJawHE or Destroy. I'll play other decks if it can get daily's done faster, but then I go back to one of those 2. I have the variants I want for each card. I save gold and buy variants. I don't buy bundles because I won't use the variants.
The time to series 3 completion is months on months. Feels bad for new players I reckon. They have to rethink the series drop system which I think is why it is taking a while.
I started Pool 3 around April, and am still maybe about 70% of the way there. I did take a couple months off though.
Series 3 is difficult. I’m a returning player who had just gotten my first series 3 card when I played at launch. It was much easier to get cubes and be competitive up til S3, which I get. But with how big the pool is , it’s so hard to play early-mid S3. I even got lucky and pulled some nice cards like Death and She Hulk. Don’t laugh at me but I can’t get past rank 30 rn. Idk what I’m doing wrong.
@@budadams4241Don't worry, I'm stonewalled at 85 right now, been for almost the entire season. My early Pool 3 climb wasn't too bad, because I pulled Patriot as my FIRST Pool 3. Lol.
I was so excited that my favorite Marvel character was coming to Snap. Then I saw her card and really hoped it was wrong.
At first especially my first season that i got to infinite during the ghost spider release/move deck popularity my only deck i used was bounce. Fell in love with bounce....
Now i mainly use 2 maybe 3 types of deck to climb the ranks destroy, loki and lockdown...once i reach infinite i go and play with other decks i dont normally play to try and gain boosters like high evo, thanos, discard, move, galactus...
I think I played that guy with the Cosmo destroy deck and I had the same reaction 😂

The only use I can really see with Martyr is if you have some ramp on turn 5 you can pair her with Pro X for 7 total power when you lock down a lane.
Your miles better off ramping X out on 4 most of the time though

I’ll play a few different decks, but my fun go to deck is Negative Surfer. I have an all gold version and several alt golds for that deck. So much fun. Hit infinite with it every month for the last 5 months.
Living Tribunal and Cerebo 4 deck maybe if that is a thing. Time to watch and will edit if needed.
Cosmo is an auto include in Ms Marvel decks to avoid counter. T3 Cosmo, T4 Marvel, T5 Klaw/Ironman/Darkhwark (depening your build), T6 Doom/Onslaught/Alioth
isn't Martyr a target for cards like Venom and Zero?? Or combo with Captain Marvel? also hard to lose if you have a board full of 1 cost with Ka-zar.
also helps with getting early lead for priority.
A crazy turn 5 with Martyr and then Firestar (when it comes out in december) She can be nice card option in that deck

They could go with another card that reads : cards that have an effect after the end of the game gets +4 after the location ability triggers.

I wan't werewolf so bad, i spent all my caches on that kity pride variant the week before.
I play multiple decks. Sometimes, this might be blasphemy, I play a deck with other objectives than winning. Testing, experimenting, or whatever. I play discard or ongoing until I hit Infinite. For Conquest, I play bounce, lockdown, discard, destroy, on reveal, etc because you see some of the same people on there. Got to keep things unpredictable.
the only thing I want for snapmas is a fing fang foom card. I need it. they could have it be 6 cost 15-16 power, but counts as 4 cards in a location. that way he can only be played in an empty location and then no cards can be added to your side.
9:21 might get the card to play in my zoo deck.
I’ve won games because Titania bouncing to the opponent’s side. Martyr might have a place in a C-4 deck.
You have to play Martyr and Viper. So you steal a place where the Opponent can play and you will fill the Location. This could really be a thing. 😅
In most situations giving the opponent a 1/4 is bad, even with the text on martyr

A lot of energy and setup, not to mention time, just to gift your opponent 4 power. If she was a 1 or 2 Manthing or Yellowjacket could prep her to be sent over by Annihilus, but I think the Viper play, is gonna blow up in your face more often than not. Why send a 4 when you can send void or hood or even a -2 rock??

Ive been hooked up on playing a toxic Spectrum deck. 4 Cost cards like Wong, etc., Sera, Magik, then Hazmat & Spectrum final turn.
I always feel like I'm missing something. "Annihilus everywhere", I played more this past week than I have ever, and... saw that card a single time.
I also played a ton bc of Thanksgiving break and saw him a majority of the time. It was really starting to bore and annoy me lol. I’m tired of playing around Anni and Alioth players

I create archetypes around Jean Grey and Storm…somehow or someway I make sure to include them in all my decks
one combo i can think of is viper and martar.....sending martar to your opponets side of the field
I'm commenting kinda early into the video so idk if you guys get to it, but Martyr the way she works will not move if she is under Invis Woman or cards that summon her via being under Invis like Hela and like mentioned when typing this comment Prof X.
She has niche's for sure. People were also calling Nico a bad RNG card when she was revealed and now she's arguably one of the most fun cards play line wise. I could see certain decks like Hit Monkey/Bounce definitely slotting Martyr in and winning more often due to that extra power just because she can't move anywhere else.
I wish the text was "lose you the current round" it would then be a way to throw priority if that's your goal. But yea I know you can do that organically.
I think Martyr will go in Elsa decks for that turn 6 location fill.
I feel like she’s more of a component of lands that pull a random card to the board. Pulling her to your side randomly could be game changing.
I play just one deck. My own making with Cosmo, Magneto and Shang Chi and other "should be in more decks" cards... Only other decks I play are destro and discard, when missions demands them. I am not competitive, but I have achieved Infinite rank twice and conquered Infinity conquest once.
I have a shit ton of decks but I usually play 2 consistently each season. This season it's Shuri Nimrod and Junk. I just find those 2 archetypes to be the most fun. Though with all the Lokis I'm running into I've started to play more control.

I use an all gold ongoing deck with magik, iron man, tribunal and onslaught. I've been experimenting with new decks, but only after I get infinite each pass. Until then, it's my go to deck.😂
