    A small two bed one bath tiny home in development Villa CasteLeon in Colonia Universidad, León, Nicaragua tour today along with walking a residential street near the Universidad Martin Luter to show some fancy houses out in the country on a side street. A neat day of homes and some driving in south eastern Leon. Universidad Martin Luter Homes
    This tiny pink house is of style Modelo Esperanza and rents normally for $145/mo but this one is upgraded with a water tower and is $150/mo. 36m2 so more of isolated apartment style living, on a budget. Very safe area, quite quiet.

    Are these houses in a car dependant suburbia ?

    • @ScottAlanMillerVlog
      @ScottAlanMillerVlog  Рік тому +2

      No. A car can be nice but essentially no where with houses plural will lack public transportation. Car dependency is almost exclusively for farms or similar and even then it is rare. In this case the bus goes right there.

      No companies for these kinds of things. It's always direct to the home owner.

    Great video, Scott. What would you guess the price range is for those houses ? Thx

    • @ScottAlanMillerVlog
      @ScottAlanMillerVlog  Рік тому +1

      The small ones are $15,900 - $32,900 in CasteLeon. The others are hard to say. LIkely more like $80K - $130K.

      Sorry, I missed you telling us the prices.
      $21k seems like a great price for that small house !

      Is this price you say to get them built or to purchase already built?

    Hey off subject of the video. Where can we exchange money in Granada. We are here and if course family is telling us we can't only if we have a cedula. Pretty sure that is false. We are staying at a hotel and wasting money because we didn't get it exchanged at the airport. Any advice?

    • @ScottAlanMillerVlog
      @ScottAlanMillerVlog  Рік тому +1

      What kind of money do you have? You aren't suppose to bring any real amount of cash, you should keep that for when you return home and just go to the ATM here and get cordoba or USD as both are accepted here. If for some reason you actually get into a situation where you need to exchange cash (been here for many years and had a one time situation that required it and that's it) then you always exchange it on the street near the banks with the people standing outside waving cash and offering to exchange it. Those are the official, licensed exchangers and the only way to do it that makes sense. They are the best rates. You never use the airport.

    And we're back to reality! $150/month for the whole damn place? Here in Sedona I'm paying $1,100 for a 280 sq ft private studio attached to a house and I'm SUPER GRATEFUL to even find such a great deal 😂

    The trash on that main road (the dirt one you left to get to the big development), is just awful.
    I'm not sure I could deal with the trash in Nicaragua. I remember Panama and parts of Costa Rica in places and it never left my memory.
    Why does poverty need to equate to trash???
    I lived in poverty most my adult life (U.S.A wetted down version!), and I don't abuse my Earth.
    Humans can be disgusting in so many ways
    How do so many Westerners say how beautiful and how stunning Nicaragua is when it's literally a giant dump from what I've seen?

      The US of my childhood was exactly the same. Takes a major effort and strategy to change that.

      @@ScottAlanMillerVlog And the government is working on it. Better than the days when a battery plant was dumping really toxic waste into one of the big lakes during Somoza's time. For anyone really worried about this, look into the cities that get the cleanest city awards.

    I enjoyed your video today. I really like the ultra modern house. I like how inexpensive rent is!. I’m only concerned is there enough things nearby this location to keep myself occupied or busy, I’m worried about moving somewhere and getting bored!!!. 🥹👋🏻
