I am truly living the dream now that I have a proper drainage system in my garage. Eventhough the weather is cold, I can perform full bucket washes inside my garage. This past Friday night, I dedicated my evening to getting my daily driven SQ5 into shape. I had some challenges along the way, as you will see in the video but it all came out awesome in the end. I used some products I had nver used before including some TACSYSTEM stuff along wtih CarPro's Reload. I bet youre surprised I had never used Reload before, but it's true. I still prefer Ethos's Defy as my final sealant spray, but Reload was nice. I also used Lithium's Double Tap Infused Soap for the first time. I am in love with that stuff. Thanks for tuning in and even though we are going through some challenges, do your best to stay RAD! 🤘

Great video Rick. I think I speak for everyone in appreciating your honest feedback when a product doesn’t perform. Keep it up buddy.
Thanks. I am not a reviewer as you know, but I figure if I'm gonna try out some new stuff I might as well share my insights. I really liked that Lithium Double Tap Infused Soap. With the TACSYSTEM Ultra Foam, I'm not sure what went wrong there. I used the same kitchen tap water I always use (cold) and I didn't shake up the mixture. I used about 50ml in the 1000ml bottle, which is a rich enough mixture. Just didn't want to foam up for me. Did the exact same with the Fireball, and MAN does that stuff rock. I like it way better than GSF from Koch Chemie. I still like my Mega Foam by Adam's though. It is like shaving cream.
@@RADGarage Yes I totally agree with you the GF from is Not so great. I would recomand the Sonax actifoam Energy or the Sonax Richfoam. I also would recomand brands like ADBL and K2 Pro for you to try out. I dont know if you have access to these brands. But anyway thank you for your hard and inspireing work.
All the best from Germany
Jan
Thanks for the suggestion Jan. I really try to avoid adding various products that perform the same function, since storage space is limited and I tend to forget what products I have. I think I have four or five snow foams at present, so once they are all exhausted, I may look to branch out.
Anyone else think Audi Canada needs to step up and lend Rick some of the promo R8’s, RS6’s and RSQ8’s so he can show potential buyers the true ownership experience in his literal Audi spec garage?!
Let's pin this right now!
And I’ll borrow the SQ5 in the meanwhile 👊🏼
I really want an SQ8. I have been "building" them on the Audi Canada website for weeks now, but they are too much money!
Heck yes!!!!
@@HarpersCarDetailing Just subscribed to your channel. Great content
There is something soothing about this that only car people will understand. It is crazy to see the difference in weather between Calgary and Vancouver; it has been raining and 3 degrees here all winter so far. Good job as always Rick and thank you for making these videos for us.
I couldn’t handle the rain. I’ll take minus-20 and sun over a mild rainy day. But, don’t get me wrong, I love YVR!
@@RADGarage Well said, I would take cold and sunny over rainy any day. I work in automotive repair and I am sick of dealing with water leaks all day 🙃😒
Thank you Rick for the honest opinion of the TacSystem. Other UA-cams are ‘afraid’ of saying any semi negative comment on a product.
We know your not a reviewer, but thanks for a simple comment of not enjoying a product!
I'm not willing to say it isn't a good product until I can figure out if it was something I was doing wrong. Not that all foams need to be as thick as shaving cream, maybe this foam is designed to be runny. I may reach out to TACSYSTEM to get their opinion. Just a busy week.
It's almost midnight and I'm watching your video, great as always
Greetings from Germany
You will be asleep before the 5:00 mark.
Watching you wash your car is almost therapeutic to me 😊
I get that a lot. There is a lot of soothing, satisfying things happening when a car is being luxuriously washed. That's always what I'm trying to capture.
Amazing vid as always! Satisfying to watch! Big fan from Norway, keep up the amazing work!👏🏼🤟🏼
Thank you very much!
During the contact wash, it’s amazing how evident it is that this car is well coated. The water and soap literally disappear. Hood and headlights especially
That water/soap behaviour has a lot to do with the fact that I top the aging ceramic coating with Ethos Defy after each and every maintenance wash. I used Reload this time, but a quality topper is something I have a strong belief in using.
Rick! Good "with salt/without salt" video. Love that you are still showing each product you are using as you clean. 👍👍
Thanks Barbara. I have been having fun with these new additions to the product arsenal.
Thanks Rick from an amazing video again. It's allways very relaxing to watch them. I've learned a lot of new cleaning techniques thanks to you. Keep up the good work.
Greetings from Finland🇫🇮
Thank you for watching. I don't think I have a lot of crazy tricks when it comes to washing my car, but I do aim to be thorough with my process and I am willing to spend the time necessary to get as close to perfect as possible.
That drainage system is genius! I always thought that a drainage system (like Pan's) would need to be tied in with storm sewers, but this would save a bundle. It would need to be done at the construction of the house stage, but most builders wouldn't think of installing such a thing.... Pumping out a sump is a simple solution, although the install would be quite messy. Cool.
Yes, this was a more economically practical solution to my drainage issues. While it would be awesome if it tied into the drainage of my home, it was too costly and would have required plumbing permits. I was able to do this after the fact, and it wasn't that messy. The company (Concrete Innovations) that completed the project had it all buttoned up in the span of four days. It's not the prefect solution by any account, but it is the best solution I was able to come up with. Thanks for the comment. Be sure to check out the videos of the project when you have a chance: ua-cam.com/play/PLBkcWYR7ZEzjEny1NY4J7cnhUgvkQAOOh.html
Great video Rick, my way to tune out of all life’s stresses...
Exactly. That's what attracts me to this hobby. It is total escapism.
Amazing work buddy! 👍
Thanks so much. 🤘
Amazing and nice work👍🏻
Thanks 🤘
Hi Rick always great work. 👌💯🇵🇹thanks for the coment to my car 😀.seriesli i reali like .your videos .sorry the English.
Thanks for sharing your car with me. It is such great shape for being 20 years old!
@@RADGarage Hi Rick 20years old and 235.000 km .detail the car is my terapy i clean my mind and my spirit 😄
I hear that!
Great video. Love your setup. Enables a good workflow. Keep up the great work!
The workflow in there is what I wish I could convey more clearly through the videos. It is the number one feature of why I love working in there so much. Thanks for noticing!
Another great video Rick! 2 tac system wash and 1 fireball plus contact wash, man the SQ5 is 1 happy fella.
That car has no idea how spoiled it is. I've owned it for over 3 years now and I can't believe how new it still looks and feels on the inside and outside.
Another great video. Thank you!! :) love it
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing work as always and always Love from the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks so much.
First-class content as always Rick! Keep up the excellent work!
Much appreciated!
Great job Rick. I envy that you have the setup to be able to wash your Audi in the middle of winter. Looking forward to more videos!👍👍
Thanks Mike. I am battling a few moisture in the air issues. Might need an exhaust fan. It isn't too bad, but she was getting a little steamy, especially when I was using the pressure washer. Take care. Always more videos to come.
Sooo therapuetic! Love it man! Keep up the good work buddy!
Thanks. It’s all about the vibes!
I'm impressed by the iPhone footage. Shows you what can be done with the simple camera sitting in your pocket and some great videography !
For sure. I have used the same phone to shoot many of my videos prior to March of this year. I much prefer my Sony a6100 though.
Another superb video. So that’s how you get those awesome panning shots! 😊
The secret is out! 🤫
Love ❤️ your garage and your videos... very relaxing!
Thanks Ron. It is just too nice of a space not to share with others.
Very nice 👍🏻 and so much work editing this video
Too much! I wish I could just set up the tripod and not worry about it, but I just can't do it!
Cool ! Saturday 22:23PM beer and Rad.Garage ! Fine relax ! THX !
Rock on!
Great video Rick. Thanks, I needed it. Washed my SQ5 last Sunday. But haven’t driven the car all week due to lockdown. Cheers!
I have been driving it very little since late-December, but schools are returning to physical learning on Monday so she's getting called back into action!
Great content as usual!
I agree. We can’t keep our vehicles clean enough during winter time. Especially with our unpredictable chinook climate.
I laugh when I see the giant line ups at the drive-thru car washes on mild days. I get it, there's no other options for people, but it just makes me happy that I have a garage that allows me to wash now whenever the mood strikes.
Awesome video as always 👍🏼
Such a stunning car, and really suits those wheels 👊🏼
Thanks. I researched long and hard before pulling the trigger on those wheels for my winter setup. I think they match it quite nicely. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice job Rick, great video! Your SQ5 is one lucky Audi to get to live inside your garage!
It sure is!
That sound bit when the water is dripping into the sump 😂👌🏻
Yup. Small detail in the video, but HUGE detail in my life! If you know, you know...
Always great 👍🏻
Thanks for the visit

@@RADGarage 🤣🤣🤣
nice work rick
Thank you kindly
Super montage!
Merci
Tinted side reflexes and black Audi logo badges would suit this car really good
I have considered colour-mated side reflectors, but the cost is just too prohibitive. I think it came out to over $500 CAD and I just don't think it is worth it. I think I'll keep her as is for now and start to consider what car will be taking its place in a year or two. Thanks for the input.
Hi that car you have lookes amazing and your videos are brilliant 👏 👌
Thank you so much 🤗
I like that you use wet foam, instead of thick snow foam. Wet foam is what works the best 👌
I have recently starting experimenting with different brands of foam. I’m not sure which is yet my favourite but I really am loving the Fireball stuff right now.
Damn this satisfying..... it is like Bob Ross on cars. Very nice work
He was the best!
Thumbs up smashed before even watching it.
You can always trust me to bring it!
@@RADGarage very true
Nice job and the IPhone video was actually very good! I love seeing cars cleaned after being covered in winter scum. Man I hate winter 🥶.
Thanks,
DC
Now that I have that drain in my garage, I don't hate winter as much. I have filmed entire videos on my iPhone, but I much prefer the Sony a6100 I have been using since the Spring.
I should be clear. I still hate winter though.
@@RADGarage 🤣👍🏻
There’s a vanity advantage to thick foams for sure (especially for UA-cam vids!) but I’ve learnt that cleaning power is often an independent characteristic. For instance, Bilt Hamber doesn’t foam so great but it breaks down dirt like nothing else I’ve tried. Keep up the fantastic work Rick!
I totally agree. As someone who has spent a LOT of time filming foam footage, I know how incredible thick foam looks on camera, but this new Fireball foam I am using is making me question whether I need to conduct an actual contact wash. It is good stuff despite the fact it doesn't lather up like your grandfather's shaving cream. (My grandfather used to froth up his own shaving cream)
@@RADGarage Dwelling foam in 4k? Yes please!
Thanks for your review of the Tac Systems Ultra Foam Rick. I was really surprised that it wasn't a very good foaming product. TAC Systems normally has really good performing products that work really well and perform as they are intended. Nick video overall bud. Always enjoy your video editing and how your videos turn out.
Hi Joe. I'm not sure I'm ready to give up on the TACSYSTEM foam. I'll give it another go at some point. Thanks for checking in and appreciating the content I produce. This one was a bit of struggle, but it turned out pretty good.
these darn winters get our cars so dirty!! Truck looks great Rick!
Thanks Mike. We have been seeing warmer temps so I anticipate this place becoming a real mess in the coming days. Oh well, not much you can do about it.
Way to go my man!!! I love this video, so satisfying.. this is by far the best detailing video!!! Wow I’m really lost for words, keep up the good work!!!! I’m impressed!!! I’m subscribing... this is the longest comment I ever posted you UA-cam.. 🦾🦾🦾🦾
Ha! I'm glad you found me and enjoy the content I create. I've been at this for a few years, and it is nice to see my reach increasing. It's great to have new people along for the ride!
Never fail to please!!!
Consistency is key.
great video rick,i could not take that out in to all that snow,id buy a winter run around many thanks
It's always been something I have considered, but with it being winter here so much of the year, I would see driving a winter beater as a wasted opportunity. I really enjoy driving the SQ5 in the winter. With the Nokian tires, this things is a winter warwagon and it has consistently impressed me with it's winter capabilities. What I need to do, is make it my dedicated winter car and bring something into the garage for the summer months!
I have such a clean car. I won't release it until summer! good job this quality of assembly;)
Thanks. I wish I didn’t have to get my car dirty but it constantly is.
Hi Rick !
Sorry for the late comment but these last days have been quite tough !
So glad I could finally detail my A5 today interior & exterior and install my new aluminium pedals !
Really gives a nice look.
I could also test Gyeon bathe shampoo which really did the job.
My paint came out super slick and glossy and super easy to towel dry.
Hope you and your family are all safe.
Talk to you soon bud !
Gregg
Never apologize Gregg. Sorry to hear your life has been a bit tough lately. I have my good days and bad days as well. Thankfully, I have the garage to escape too when I feel the need. My family remains safe and healthy and I hope the same for you. I have used the Gyeon Bathe in the past. I find it less sudsy than other soaps, but it does have that slickness to it you described. I am really enjoying the Double Tap Car Wash by Lithium these days.
woow😲 65000km but looks like new👏🏻
That's the goal!
Nice job rick!
Thanks man.
In my opinion washing a car during the winter is the most critical. Don’t want rust forming anywhere. I wash my BMW every week up in the north east.
I agree my man. You let that salty dirt dwell on your paint long enough and it will erode the clear and begin to find little places to fester. I see it all the time. Relatively new cars, mostly SUV's with rust spots developing (especially on the rear) because the salt found a little nick and began to corrode. Even if this thing is dirty later today, you have to maintain. All the best to you!
0:16 - 1:00 for this kind of huge dirt I really like to use "Citrus" prewashes or "traffic film removers" - then huge rinse - then foam and rest of the stuff
I should probably work a citrus-style prewash into my process. I do like seeing what the foam can accomplish on its own though.
Good day, ambassador Rick😀 It’s so beauty when the coating fight against the foam and soap
Yeah, that is mostly the Defy I use a topper between washes. It does a really good job of protecting the paint. I'll be applying a new coating at some point soon.
Waiting for that awesome video
It'll be a biggie.
Car pro reset!!! No brainer best soap on the planet !! Always consistent and just plain damn great
I have never tried it! I will at some point.
@@RADGarage really u havent tried yet wow u won’t go back the self cleaning properties are amazing and the lubricity is unreal!!!
It's on my list.
@@RADGarage please do a review on it when u try it love to see your thoughts thanks so much
I will, but my reviews are usually a simple sentence or two. I just don't have the "gift of the gab" when it comes to talking about the performance of detailing products.
There is so much to like. Your garage remake is totally inspiring to me and I'm thinking about this fall to finally do it. To wash indoors, out of the sun and of course now during the cold weather I can use my rinseless wash or my Ammo Frothe then use my Turtle 🐢 Wax Pro Max Wax and Flex Wax to top it all off, all in my 70 degree garage; life changing experience. A few months ago I insulated the garage including the metal doors and installed multiple wall heaters. Then I finished the lighting in August which has been a game changer. I watched your earliest videos for ideas. Thank you also for showing TAC Systems snow foam, it was on my list but not any longer. My two favorite soaps are MTM's PerFOAMance and Auto Fanatic Storm Foam and believe it or not Turtle 🐢 Wax ICE Snow Foam (6 oz with 24 oz water) killer thick foam for 20 cents an oz. Hard to believe how good that soap is. So much to say but for now I just want to rewatch and go sleep 💤 in detail heaven...
I'm glad you found so much to like about this video. I am always trying to hone the garage to support even more efficient and enjoyable detailing work. Sounds like you have a good jump on your own project. Let me know if there's anything I can do to assist. Take care.
Now passed the holidays we luckily still have your uploads to chill to! Great seeing you washing the SQ5, you always keep your videos entertaining, even if it is the 20th video of you washing your Audi. I love that I now finally know how you do your sweeping shots, I always thought they were done using software to zoom in on large shots, but this results in sharper images so all the better! Btw, that is one soft and furry handle near the wall at 20:24 ;)
Secrets revealed! But, I won't reveal how I use it. 😉 There are a few editing tricks as well. Those will never be revealed.
What a way to wind down the night! Awesome video as always.. glad to hear that camera dolly and phone was ok.. decided to switch it up and go with Reload huh! Haven't tried that stuff yet but hear it's good. Audi is looking BLINGTASTIC. Great vid.
You and I were probably the only two left on Earth who haven't used Reload. I liked it. Went on easy and buffed off easy. Especially with those Detail POPO 350 GSM Ocean towels.
@@RADGarage that's funny man, cause I think you're right! Everyone's used that stuff. Ohhh the popo's.. let's take a brief moment to recognize the illest towel out there. 🙌 haha.
Haha. Fantastic.
Hi Rick, enjoyed watching this as always. I have yet to wash my Q3 since July of last year and that was when they washed it at the dealership after it got serviced. I rarely drove the car ever since the pandemic hit but it stays in the garage all the time so it’s just dusty. 2021 and I hope to get it washed eventually (weather permitting). Very busy mom here. But as always Iove, love, your videos.
I can’t imagine how dirty my car would be after that long! Thanks, as always, for your supportive comment.
Nobody can say that this car wasnt dirty lol nice vid, thanks.
Haha. No kidding. It's atrocious today. We had a rain and wind storm here yesterday and my SQ5 looks like complete trash again. I'll be doing another weekend wash. Might not do a video this time though.
@@RADGarage Looked fantastic after the wash 👍
Good day, Happy New Year! Is there a video review of your garage on the channel?! How is the sink, sewer, heating arranged?!
Yeah, I have a few videos on the channel that tour viewers around. Here's the most recent: ua-cam.com/video/KTb6ilxZgv0/v-deo.html
Also, here's a link to a playlist that contains a variety of videos that detail (get it?) some of the infrastructure of the garage: ua-cam.com/play/PLBkcWYR7ZEzjEny1NY4J7cnhUgvkQAOOh.html
Your Bubbly Foamer delivers uniqueness!
It was so unexpected, but it is my by far my most favourite aspect of washing my car now.
@@RADGarage Love the bubbly foamer!
It's quickly becoming my ™
@@RADGarage It's a RAD exclusive!
Nice wash , your right about that first foam. Very runny.
I never figured out why it was so runny. The rest of the TAC System products I have used are awesome. Especially their Mystic Bubble car wash.
65,000km and still looks brand new 🔥
Thanks. I obviously pride myself on the condition of my car.
Thanks for another zen-like video., Rick. Are you happy with the heater in your garage? Does it warm up the space quickly enough? Pretty efficient? Trying to decide what's the best for a similar size garage in Wisconsin winters. TIA.
I couldn't be happier with my choice of heater. It has been a steadfast workhorse and reheats the garage in minutes after opening the big door. I'm a huge proponent of infrared heaters, but they aren't allowed in some jurisdictions so be sure to consult with your bylaws/building codes.
0:02 at least you have snow ;) kids did't saw it here since few years ;)
We have a fair bit of snow, but it is slowly melting away.
Dude the soap dripping backwards was RAD
Weird momentary lapse of gravity here in the RAD environment!
@@RADGarage I always knew you were a magician
Brilliant video! Just wondered how you manage not to get rock chips/stone chips ! Car looks beautiful!
Well, the key is the SunTek PPF on the entire front end. I am also pretty careful about what roads I drive and when. It's pretty rare to have a car three years old without a single nick. (Knocks on wood)
Love hearing your thoughts on the products you used. Would love to see more of it in future videos! Any thoughts on Leno’s Vehicle Wash? I remember you using it years ago. Anyways, great content as always! 👍
Yes, the Leno's Garage Vehicle Wash is one of my favourite all-time soaps. I still use it time to time. In fact, I think I have a full gallon in my product cabinet. I don't mind sharing my insights on products, but I don't want to get into a situation where I have competing products since it just clutters up my cabinets. But, I hear you. I'll put a bit more of my feedback into videos and the descriptions moving forward.
The music and the video was RAD
Thanks Mike.
1:06 I bought the EZ brush - you have red I have blue. This is hell a huge brush I did not expect. I wonder does it suite to 16" rims ;)
Yeah, I don't often work on wheels smaller than 18" and when I do, some of them don't have enough room between the barrels and the rotors for this particular brush. But, it works perfectly on my SUV. I have a few of the blue ones too, but I'll ride this one out until it dies.
I need to bring my Calgary driven SQ5 over there for some RAD garage love! She is filthy!
Also, that grill is sick.
Thanks Kristian. I hope you are having as much fun in the snow as I have been having! At some point, your SQ5 will get the RAD treatment. I can feel it.
Nice. Do you dillute your wheel cleaner in your IK. What ratio? Thanks for sharing RAD.
In the winter when they are super dirty, I use it full strength.
the goat
I'll take it.
How does that SQ5 handle in snow? I just test drove a 2020 SQ5, but there's no snow in Vancouver yet. I just want to know how it does in the harsh Alberta conditions
It slays the snow. I call it my winter warwagon. I think the air suspension is a must on the SQ5. The off-road setting is epic.
Beautiful once again. You truly know how to bring back the depth of the paint. I’m kind of questioning the shampoo. Were you happy with the shampoo?
I was very happy with the shampoo.
Rick, I always enjoy watching your videos. I am thankful I learned about your channel and subscribed, as I watch a lot of Pan's stuff, and learned about you when you did the wheels off on the Misano RS5. I am a huge Audi fan, as I have a Daytona Grey B8.5 RS5, my wife has a Q7, my son has an S3. I recently bought (haven't taken delivery yet) a 2021 RS6 Avant. I hope to see you do one of those in the future. What kind of applicator do you use for tire dressing? I didn't see it listed.
I would absolutely love to work on an RS6. I did work on an older version this summer. I’m glad you found out about my channel. Pan did me a great favour by allowing me to gain a wider audience and I am very happy with the growth my channel has experienced in recent months.
Applicator: carzilla.ca/products/precision-dressing-applicator
As always such a great video. That Tacsysytem snow foam was a boo...lol! How do you maintain the carpro wash mitt and how many of those do you have?
I have this one I use often and a new one on the bag for when I need it. I just simply rinse it in the rinse water bucket and fluff it with my hand and hang it to dry. No fuss.
Once again Rick nice work, calming and really enyoable video. In Germany like in Canada is cold 🥶 and lots of snow and salt and grime on the road so I will have to wait for wormer time to get my car washed, at least I am slowly buying detailing stuff that I need. All the best from Germany Rick.
We are all doing our best to deal with the challenges winter brings us, no matter where we live! What kind of car do you drive over there?
@@RADGarage I own a Fiat Bravo 1.6 mjtd with 135 pa i have send you pictures last time on your email address that you gave me
Oh yes, I remember now. How does it perform on extreme winter weather days?
@@RADGarage no problem at all but the problem is i have dpf filter and because of short city drive under 20 km i have to go 2-3 times a month on autobahn or how you call it highway and drive 20-25 min between 2 and 2500 rpm to burn ashes that are collected in the filter
Interesting. I have never heard of that. I'll have to do some Googling.
Nice work on the wash. If u were close to the MI/Canada border I would stop by...and for a wash. 😁
Next time!
Nice bro 🤗✌🏻
Thanks Habib.
@@RADGarage you welcome 👍🏻
Nice😁
Thanks 😅
What a great garage set up, what kind of drainage system do you have under your matting?
I recently had a company rip up the floor and install a drain that channels water to a deep catch basin. You can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/WtV_L7YtsQU/v-deo.html
What Nokian tyres do you have on the audi. I have summer tyres on mine and would be interested in getting some winter ones
All the info is here: ua-cam.com/video/uH08J9x6oOM/v-deo.html
who dislikes these videos? I love to watch them!
Ex-girlfriends probably.
Fantastic vid, as always. We are having a period of around -15C here and I cant wait untill summer arives.
It has been a while since you had the car repaired. Sometimes you find things that you did not see at first. With different lights and new angles there can be some new insights. Are you still happy with the result? No issues?
Great question. I have gone over the front end mm by mm and I am happy to report no issues. Where the car made contact was purely on the grille. The only real issue I find is that the PPF has a few nicks here and there, which is par for the course in these parts, but I'm certain that no residual damage remains from the big incident back in September. Phew.
Great video, got a new subscriber out of me! What small drying rag are you using when using your blow dryer on the vehicle?
Thanks for the sub! That towel is a 12" x 12" Gauntlet drying towel by the Rag Company: www.theragcompany.com/the-gauntlet-microfiber-drying-towel/
Do you ever clean the door jams or under the hood? Might be kind of cool to see how you clean those parts of the vehicle.
That's the next step up and I will be doing a full exterior detail here very soon. I just need a few days in a row where I don't have to take the car anywhere! And, sometimes, I will do a quick wipe down of the door jams and sills, but just not capture it on camera. My next big project with this car will be polishing off the remains of the Adam's ceramic coating and applying a coating of graphene that a local company had developed. Just. Need. To. Find. The. Time!
Great video!
Thanks. It certainly makes washing your car look a little more glamorous than it actually is!
@@RADGarage I know hey, I just finished a 4 day correction on my wife's Lexus is350 2016 white pearl car and ceramic coated it and I pumped my self up watching your Lexus videos lol.
I remember you saying that on a previous video. Are you satisfied with the results of all that hard work?
@@RADGarage yeah I went abit overboard chasing and circling every scratch and using thickness gauge to make sure I didn't remove to much clear coat Lexus have 180 microns but the end result using nova Evo as the ceramic coating came out show room.
Sounds like you went about it the right way. Congrats. 💪
What tires are those? They look great for winter!
They are Nokia’s Hakkapelliita R2’s. Awesome.
So good I've watched it twice. Do you teach IT ? The videos are of the highest quality 👌
It can't be taught.
More information on the motorized slider dolly please :)
I put the link in the bio. Nifty little gadget. Comes with a remote. Only issue is the tiny engine makes some noise and the camera mic picks it up.
Wow Rick, your car looks like a tractor, but after a good wash we see a beautiful SQ5, well done!!
It has been doing a lot of tractor-type driving these days, let me tell ya! 🚜
Some snowfoams perform best when thin. This way they really get to lift the dirt off the paint and transport it downwards. BH autofoam for example, propably the best cleaning snow foam of all time, and it's runny as hell. Also, I'm assuming you're using correct PIR, right?
I hear what you are saying. I might have to touch base with the team at TACSYSTEMS to see if I did something wrong.
Yaya, 4th attempt worked on the foam. 👍🏼
It’s a struggle sometimes.
1:29 the bubble effect is because of the "hand sprayer" or this is this specific wheel cleaner effect ?
I think it is a combination of both. I have yet to try a different wheel cleaner in that little sprayer. There's just no wheel/tire cleaner that I find is more effective than the Adam's AIO.
Hi Rick, first of all thanks for your film”ish” videos! A little question: inside the IK foam spray you have three kinds of “tips” in three different colors (green, orange and grey). Which one you use to have so nice foam to clean the tires? Greetings from The Netherlands
Hey. The IK sprayer I use for wheels isn’t actually a foam sprayer. It doesn’t come with interchangeable tips. I linked it in the description. I can’t get my actual IK foamer to work. It just sits on a shelf looking pretty.
Hey Rick, I mean the sprayer for the wheels and not the foam for washing the car. When you open the bottle you can change what they call “the mixer” which is given in the three colors I mentioned. The mixer connects the suction pipe to the blue head piece. I use the orange one, but it gives me not so nice foam as the one I saw in your video. If we talk about the same sprayer, than maybe in Canada it is a different product than here. Thanks in advance.
The sprayer I use for the wheels does not have interchangeable tips is what I am saying. It comes as is and it works great with the Adam's Wheel + Tire Cleaner. The link is in the video description. It's the 1.5L Alkaline Sprayer. Not a foam sprayer.
How do you keep everything in your garage from getting wet or rusting?
My experience washing vehicles in my garage has taught me a few tricks. It's really just about angles and not allowing for "splash back". The only area I really struggle with is the garage door. There is only about 2 feet between the car and garage door, so water inevitably ends up hitting the door. I just wipe it down after with a shop cloth. Other than that, I don't have water issues. I have a bit of rust on the casters of my Craftsman rolling cabinets (blue), but I have a feeling they would be rusty regardless of washing cars. Thanks for the question.
