    𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪
    My family and I enjoyed a week's stay in a picturesque mountain village soaking up all nature has to offer, but soon after our arrival, a lightening strike set the closest mountain ablaze. Fortunately, our resort was a safe enough distance away from the flames that we did not receive evacuation orders. Despite the obvious concerns, we were able to carry on with our vacation and enjoy ourselves. We kept a close eye on the mountain as well as monitoring the updates from the BC Wildfire Service. When all was said and done, the fire fighters did an amazing job of containing the Horsethief Creek wildfire, but my SQ5 did not escape before being blanketed with a layer of ash, soot and other fallout from the copious amounts of smoke produced by the fire.
    In this video, I discover some mineral deposit marks that embedded themselves into the ceramic coating on my car, but I was able to rectify the situation using a highly effective "Water Spot Remover" product from my friends at DIY Detail. This video features some narration because it was a departure from my normal wash process that I feature often here on my channel.
    Please sit back and enjoy the process as I do my best to undo the damage done. If you are interested in purchasing any of the products or tools you see in my videos, please peruse the list below. The DIY water spot remover is magic as it actually removes the minerals! Every product I have bought from DIY has surpassed my expectations and they always make me look like a better detailer than I really am. Your Audi looks brand new and the Dr. Beasley coating looks like it is performing very well! Your experience with your Audi is part of the reason I recommended the Audi Q7 to my mom to drive! Your videos always rock and thank you for another video where we all learned!

      Yes, it is an incredibly well vetted lineup and everything is formulated in such a way that it just works. I am looking forward to a dedicated wheel & tire cleaner. I like All Clean, but I have a thing for actual wheel & tire cleaners.

    This is a great reminder that I should probably remove all the ash from the last week and a half too. Loved the format of this video because of the hands on approach which could be beneficial for some people and highlighting newer products. Glad you had a great vacation with the family buddy!

      Yeah, this approach offers viewers more information and insight. I do like my more frequent style of just focusing on the beauty of the process, but I understand there needs to be a balance. Many of my upcoming projects will take both into account.

    Wildfire ash is the worst. With the Adams lake wildfire that is still going the Okanagan Valley is full of smoke and ash again so our cars are getting washed at least once a week. Total coincidence but the Michelin pilot sport a/s are the tires I run on my corvette very happy with them and I washed my wife’s car today with Q2m foam and tac system mystic bubble for the hand wash, you have great taste lol. I haven´t come around to watch this until now. One thing that I recognize from my own washes is the fact that you learn your car. You find the spots where you need to put in some more effort. And as always, the rear view mirrors that always contain more water than you thought possible. And you take the car for a ride and the drops that makes you crazy. I always keep a psycho-towel in my car.
    I love that you take us along your thought process when coming across new challenges. Have you tried CarPro Descale? I have not yet but I am curious if it takes care of more of the contaminates.

    HI Rick !
    Good to see you enjoyed your trip.
    These big fires I saw on TV were quite scary and pretty uncontrollable !
    We hava had some here in Europe too especially in Greece.
    South of France is also under orange and red alert due to heavy fire risk.
    Talking about France, glad to see you have some French rubber on youtr wheels 😜.
    Michelin is a bit more expensive but really worth the cost.
    I have some on my A5 and I can testify the have a very good grip.
    Mine are protected with Gyeon Tyre which is SIO2 infused...
    That product is jaw-drapping due to its protection and hydrophobicity.
    Little trick : slightly heat the tire before applying with a hex grip foam applicator.
    This will open the pores and guarantee a maximum bond with the rubber.
    Nice satin OEM finish !!!
    Flawless final result as always !
    Take care mate and stay RAD 🤘🤘🤘

    I might be wrong or doing something wrong, but I find that the wet coat products, in this case CarPro Hydro2 for instance doesn't last long on the wheels, either due to brake dust being too rough or the heat from the brakes make these products evaporate/brake down faster?

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  11 місяців тому +1

      I don't disagree with that. I look at these type of wet coat products as a quick and effective way of ensuring the washing process goes well. They don't offer the same level of protection as a liquid applied ceramic coating. But, they do seem to prevent brake dust from strongly adhering to the finish of the wheels.

    • @hitek3943
      @hitek3943 11 місяців тому +1

      @@RADGarage Thanks mate for the reply! Then I'm not too off with my experience of these products. • @RADGarage
