I have been patiently waiting for the weather to cooperate because I badly needed to address the undercarriage, wheel wells and engine compartment of my SQ5. It took the better part of the weekend, but I am so pleased with the results of this project. The QuickJack was incredibly helpful and I feel like the car lost ten pounds with all the dirt that came out of the thick felt insulation in the wheel wells and undercarriage. A lot of time was spent capturing footage for this project and it is my hope you enjoy what I was able to accomplish this weekend in my personal detailing garage.

Really cool video, some impressive detailing! Thanks so much for featuring my music. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for the comment. I have always appreciated your diverse body of musical work. It goes so well with the vibes I get from detailing. I look forward to featuring even more of it in future projects once I get some new vehicles in the garage.
FANTASTIC well put together video Rick! Great job on the camera work and editing! We clearly have the two cleanest vehicles in Canada. 💪🏻👍🏻😎
Thanks Pan. Yes, I wouldn't hesitate to say I know who owns the two cleanest cars in the country!
I would dare say Rick is "Rick the Organizer" after seeing his tool chest and all those tools perfectly set into those foam inserts, but I won't steal your thunder Pan! LOL
Pan and I have many shared passions, and organization is obviously one of the big ones!
Is anyone else as excited as I am that he washes inside his garage?
It's a dream come true!
a proper winter getaway wash!!!
Thanks Rick for sharing your ASMR video
detailingandcars I’m glad you can see the beauty and satisfaction in it. That’s always my goal with these videos.

I was unable to sleep tonight....by 3 am I was still wide awake. I turned on this video in order to get relaxed and let my mind rest. I really enjoyed watching the roller sprayer that goes under the car. What a great tool that is. Rick once again you've done a masterful job with this spring clean of your Audi. I've never seen wheel arches so clean. Towards the end of the video was that one of your neighbors who came over to see your work up close? Just a fantastic video to watch. Now I can try and go to sleep. Thanks Rick.
MTobin1000 Yes, my friend Chris popped by to see where I had been for two straight days He’s the owner of the black BMW 435 I did a few years ago. Glad my work was able to help set your mind at ease, Mike. We could all use a little break from reality these days. Stay well my friend.
Super dialed 🔥 Nicely done Rick 👏
Shay Conlin Yes, I dialled her up pretty good. 🙏
that can be called "work with love". great video
Absolutely!
Love the attention to detail.
I love feedback like this from first-time commenters. 🙏
I clearly have a long way to go in my detailing game! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Adiy Q We are all learning and growing. It should never stop.
Hi Rick !
Fantastic work either on the car and making this video !
Seems like spring finally found its way to Canada ha ha !
Tough cleaning to do for each whell wells.
These carpets are a pain in the a.. to get clean, the more you scrub the more grime pops out.
As Pan said and even in France we know who owns the cleanest cars in your country...
Stay safe my friend so that we will soon get some new content !
Btw, sound rocks !!!
Gregg
gregory pollet It was a really big job so Spring better be here to stay! Thanks for watching and for your support of my passion. ✌️
Brilliant as always. The detail on the fabric rear arch liners was Very interesting. That’s a great tool to jet wash the underside too.
Nadine Osborne I’m not holding my breath on the Fabric Coat but it seemed like a good idea at the time. The water broom is a game changer. Thanks, as always, for your kind support Nadine. You rock.
Wonderful work .. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching and commenting. It is very much appreciated.
Whomever owns that vehicle after you is lucky. Nobody I've seen goes through all this trouble on a detail. I keep our cars really really clean, but nothing like this. Well done, again my friend!
Jody Patanjo Thanks Jody. I love watching the reaction when someone comes to view a car I have for sale. In fact, I have sold four cars since starting this garage. All four sold to the first viewer. For full asking price. Funny that!
RAD GARAGE that doesn’t surprise me in the least. I did a car for a guy who was selling his 2010 F150. He made about $2000 extra than he expected and I didn’t do nearly as thorough a job as you do.
Love Rick's Spring Detail Videos ... Amazing work & time put in Rick Ceramic Coating doing great with boost ... I put my summer rims in last week and it snow'd lightly the next morning here in Boston lol 🤣🤣
Boston DJ Company The East Coast gets it pretty bad, eh? I’m hoping we can avoid any further dumps of the white stuff. 🤞
Wow! Great Job 👍
Patrick Plante 😊
Your production skills continue to amaze me, Rick... Excellent video. The SQ looks awesome.
Thanks! Not bad for a DIY detailer and a Sony camera, eh? LOL
Amazing Job Rick ! Absolutely Crazy 🤩💥
Gaby El B I definitely went all out on this one. I’ll be polishing and re-coating in the Fall.
It's amazing how much dirt those inner fender liners hold.
Oh, I know. The car probably weighted 50 lbs less after I was done with them. I really wish they just did a rubberized liner instead of these deep felt ones.
one word.....AWESOME
Jason Bridges One word: TIRED!
As always best detail video on UA-cam! I like how you don’t push products that are gifted to you from the big corporations I see that with other big name detail You Tubers and they are loosing what made them good in the beginning. Fire video !!!!
NICK BROWN I’ll make recommendations but I’m still keeping it real in that regard. Thanks for the compliment about my videos. They are a lot of work but the end result always has me smiling.
Amazing content man, you probably have some of the best car videography on YB.
Thanks Justin. I am actually quite surprised by how far my skills have come. My earlier videos are just so basic compared to my later stuff. Glad you enjoy them and thanks for being a viewer.
Top, top car cleaning 🧼
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Best detailer on UA-cam. You have amazing garage and great videos.
Big hello from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Rijad Rijad I really appreciate that! I hope I can keep putting out content you enjoy. Take care over there.
Rick, really enjoy the seeing the progression of utilizing the new tools and techniques. The proper tools make things so much easier. As always, keep up the great work my friend!
I bought a few new toys and they definitely paid for themselves already. I need to use my surface cleaner again tomorrow because now my floor is caked in the mud from the wheel wells and undercarriage. I don't mind though. It's another therapy session for me.
RAD GARAGE I saw that on Instagram, very much jealous . May have to copy yours and Shauns idea of the surface cleaner for my swisstrax!
It's simply the best way to clean the Swisstrax.
Rick. "WoW" You're videography is as equally impressive as your detailing prowess!! 💎Your lift is epic as well as the garage. Expensive decon with NO decon. 😧
What a gorgeous car. Missing the NHL right there with ya. Stay well brother...
Thanks! The detail and video came out great and I'm seriously going through hockey withdrawal. NHL 2020 on Xbox isn't scratching the itch enough!
Beautiful SQ5. I got my 2019 SQ5 in Navarra blue metallic black optics package I love it more every day. Great video
That is a killer spec. I was very tempted to get the Navarra but I had just enjoyed four years of my 2014 SQ5 in Estoril Blue. I have never get the black optics package because the timing has always been off. They always release that package after I have purchased a new one!
Awesome Detailing....
Thanks Isaac. I drove to the store beaming with pride today knowing my belly was clean!
Very good,my friend!...I am from Turkey in Istanbul 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey man, thanks for reaching out all the way from Turkey. Hope you are well and take care.
The wheel wells are something I clean every detail, mostly bc I have a truck and you can easily see dirt and mud. The only thing a I hate is scrubbing and rinsing for minutes until it come out clear
I have been avoiding the coin-ops (hate the commercial grade soaps) so I don't really want to be blasting all that dirt onto my garage floor. I'll give a quick rinse, but a thorough deep clean like this one is only done once or twice a year. It is a painstaking process that makes you wonder if they will ever rinse clean!
I knew you would find a good use for the Christmas towels. That is one serious detail.
I was really hoping to resist the need to buy Adam's products, but i can't deny the results you get. I may have to take some of Admin's products for a test drive.
In Canada, go to Carzilla.ca and use my code. In the States, hit up either Obsessed Garage or Adam's directly. I love their stuff. Honestly, there isn't one product I have used that hasn't impressed. They work especially well with the Christmas season towels. LOL
All ways enjoy your videos WB
Bill B Very glad to hear that. Thanks for viewing. Lots more to come.
Good job 👍
Rukhsana Bibi Thanks a lot.
Missed a spot 😉 I miss Hockey big time too Stay Safe.. Amazing detail 👍
madmark171 Thanks man. You too.
Not bad for a daily driver! Jj....nice job!
That's exactly it though, the challenge of keeping a daily driver pristine is not for the faint of heart!
Awesome work on the wash and the edit as always Rick!
Thanks. This one came out great in my own opinion. Lots of nice shots and pans.
What are you using in your squirt bottle when you go around with the brush? That purple color and your love for Adams makes me think Adams Ultra Foam.
FPSWick Close! A 20:1 mix of Mega Foam.
I love it when you clean your daily because I drive a sq5 daily too
I think it's more interesting, if an daily car shows like a brand new one as a show car that's never seen the road
Your one of the only ones to do that
Greetings from Germany
Timbaland135 Thanks. That’s my whole goal, is to keep my car in the best condition possible while actually using it on a daily basis. I’m just your typical weekend warrior trying to maintain my pride and joy in a city that makes it very challenging! Thanks for viewing and commenting. I really appreciate that.
Amazing as always. Curious to see if the liner coating helps out. 😳💪🏼
I'm not getting my hopes up. I think it'll work good for a little while, but the road grime here is gonna wear it down quickly.
Must watch TV! 🔥😎
Ha. That's what I'm aiming for. It was cool to see more than 50 viewers join me for the premiere. That's a great sign that my channel is attracting more attention.
Hi from Italy ... Great job and beautiful car ...
Thanks for reaching out. I hope all is well for you.
Give that man an oscar!
Great job.
I'd like to thank my wife and child.
So satisfying
Thanks. Hard to believe it will soon be winter here and I’ll be dealing with filthy wheel arches again!
RAD GARAGE is your SQ5 a 2018? I’ve been looking to get one. I came across your video cleaning the black one and they’re both sooo clean 😩
Yes, mine is the 2018, first year of the 2nd Generation. I absolutely love it. I have some minor gripes with it, but overall it is a rock solid crossover with more than enough punch to keep me happy. The black one is a first generation and that is also a great car, but the tech upgrade in the second gen is well worth the extra price.
Helluva idea with the Gyeon fabric coat! My wife’s Toyota has that too, though not as dense as what you’re dealing with. 👍🏼
It will stand no chance against Calgary road grime, but thought I may as well give it a try. I would actually love for someone like WeatherTech to release some better liners that are easier to keep clean. Wouldn't that be awesome?
RAD GARAGE Yes indeed it would.
Perfect 💯
vgphilippe66 Thanks. I am pretty pleased with the results.
Your work and music🔥🔥
Thanks.
Excellent work 👌👍 You deserve many more subscribers.
Where are they? They are all over there watching Mitch pressure wash a dirty work truck. LOL
@@RADGarage It is very successful.
This has to be one of my favorite intros! Rick, have you done any winter prep videos on your SQ5? I’ve seen spring cleaning… -Jerry
Oh yeah, this was an epic project and I put some artistry into that opening! Heading into winter, there is not much I do other than ensure the ceramic coating is still intact and switch over to the all-weather floor mats. Obviously, I switch out the wheels for my winter setup and those were ceramic coated prior to storing them this summer. I don't want to think about the coming of w*****, but I will see what I can do about making a video showing how prepped she is.
Just so awesome to watch! Makes me wish we were neighbours because we share a love for our cars, garages, and car care toys. With all the free time these days are you open to chatting?
It may seem like I have more free time than usual, but it's not actually the case. I'm not sure if you find this, but working from home means work is never really done. I find myself working at odd times throughout the day and evening now. Are you on Instagram? I have a million conversations going with people through IG. If you are, hit me up.
Such nice work sir:)
Thanks Marc. My projects are a source of pride for me.
WOW!!! The SQ5 looks fantastic!!! This video was great, just gives me the itch to do mine, just waiting for the weather to get abit better! Thanks for including the products you used Rick, really helpful! Also, nice tires bud 😉😉
I can't believe other parts of Canada aren't having the spring conditions we are experiencing. We are usually the last part of the country to receive Spring. I was thinking of you when I was installing the Pirelli set up. I have a feeling I'll be hitting you up next summer. I think I have another season left in these PZ's.
RAD GARAGE weather still up and down over here 🤦♂️ 100% Rick, Hit me up! Would be a pleasure
Hey Mike, does Pirelli make any other tries besides the PZ's in a 255 40 R21?
RAD GARAGE hey Rick, I’ll check it out tmr on my PC and I’ll keep you posted! Pretty sure we do
Thanks for the message you sent. It's crazy how few options exist in that particular size. I know some SQ5 owners have gone to the more common 265/40 size.
Never disappointed. 👍🤑
Thanks. When I have the time and energy, I am confident in my content and it is certainly something I enjoy doing and sharing. Thanks for viewing and for commenting. It means a lot.
@@RADGarage anytime, it sure is time consuming and rough to do all that work on your own. Done it my self, but at least the end results help.😎
👍👍🖐 ça y est fini la neige !!! 😅😅😅
j'espere!
Your editing and camera work are the best I have seen in a YT detailer. Great work! Now I know you're from Canada and i am from the US. I cli led the link for the floor mat and rubber cleaner at carzilla. I have never seen that on Adam's website here in the states....is it a Canada only product?
Did the strip wash degrade the paint coating at all that you have noticed? I know if is supposed go strip wax and sealant but I would think a coating is a bit more impervious?
I'm sure I got it through their website a year or so ago. Perhaps they discontinued. At any rate, it is awesome. The best lathering APC-type cleaner I have ever worked with and smells great too! I hope you can track some down.
You've inspired me to make my own channel! I love it
That's awesome. I saw you mention that over at Chromatic's channel. I will definitely check it out after work!
RAD GARAGE you and chromatic are probably both the best car videographer’s on UA-cam
RAD GARAGE I’ve been subbed on my personal channel for a while!
Great video again. 21:50, that sound!
Have you considered an air impact wrench ?
BTW, that makes me think I have to swap to my summer wheels.
François C. So you heard the little pop from my exhaust did you? I’m so immature that way!
I do have an impact wrench, but I don’t use it often. I prefer the manual method for some reason. More peaceful.
You could put a like a big oil catch container underside so you can trap al dirty water and less mess
I never thought of that. I have a lot of floor clean up to do tomorrow.
Nice video Rick. When does the e-learning start for you? I’m back as of today (Tuesday) I’m back at the coalface, online teaching my classes. It’s very interesting teaching the practical component online. Maybe I’ll start a YT like yours for high school students 😛😛🛷😎 I’m still envious of your garage and love seeing how you’ve laid it out.
We have been e-learning for weeks now. Both my wife and I deliver lessons from home and my son is learning from home. It's working out pretty good, but I sure miss the energy of the school. Good luck with your sessions and maybe a YT channel would be a good idea to show the practical component of the course? Go for it.
what to say here as always beautiful !!!! 😍😍
Bartek Detal 🙏
Rick what’s the coincidence that today I changed my SQ5 winter to summer tires also. Wow lol
That's further proof that great minds think alike!
How often do you perform undercarriage cleanings? Have you tried with the vehicle on jacks? Love the attention to detail!
Yes, I perform a good thorough clean of the undercarriage on my own vehicle every spring. I have done it on jacks and I have done it just using the rolling sprayer. I am really looking forward to Spring this year to give this SQ5 a much-needed spoiling session!
Awesome video, very thorough! My only question was whether it’s OK to let the quickjack get that much soap/water on it? Just ordered one recently and also plan to use mostly for wheels off detailing, but was planning to try to avoid it getting wet as much as possible - assume it’s clearly not a huge deal though?
I always get my QuickJack wet and it’s not an issue. I do dry it off prior to storing it.
Rick, your attention to detail is incredible but the jacks are 180 degrees off. Best and safest is not to cantilever the heavy/engine side out in front rather than over the base of the jacks.
You are a genius. I took your advice this time around. I felt more secure in knowing the heavy section of the car wasn't being cantilevered.
Is there an option to attach a soap bottle to the undercarriage washer? Great content as usual!
gloomyxyz That would be cool but I don’t think so. 🤔
Awesome video man. What was that method you used to put the wheels on? Some sort of adaptor to ease the pain of the hub centric mounting?
It's a wheel hanger by a company called Bloxsport. Make mounting wheels so much easier. They are all over Amazon.
Hi new subscriber here from the uk. Love your content. May I ask do you Have a drainage system is your garage as I see you wash your vehicles inside your garage ? If you don't how do you get rid of the water etc . Thanks.
The pitch of the floor allows the water to freely flow out the door under the Swisstrax Ribtrax floor. The thin, dry alpine air also aids evaporation. It isn't an ideal system but it has worked for me for the past 10 years.
Excellent and rewarding video, how many times a year do you do it or do you recommend doing it?
I perform this level of detail 3 or 4 times each year. Completely excessive especially when you factor in the high number of maintenance washes I give it. I’d say once a year would be sufficient for the average person.
Hi Rad garage, I am following your videos for a while now and I am really enjoying it and take ur advice for when I detail my own car. With regard to dilutions for the IK 1.5 foam sprayer. What do u recommend/ use for adams wheel cleaner, tire rubber cleaner and ultra foam/car shampoo in combination with this foam sprayer? Thankyou!
Ok, so I have had very limited success with the "FOAMING" IK sprayer. I use the CONTINUOUS sprayer when applying Adam's Wheel & Tire Cleaner and it kind of looks like foam when it is dispensed. That's what you saw in this video. As for the dilution ratios, I don't really have an answer based on my lack of success and experience with the foaming IK. It just sits on my shelf and takes up space.
good video man. I know what those arch liner carpets are like. I feel they've soaked up half of Irelands water from me by this point. How does that Adams iron fallout remover smell? Cause i use auto finesse iron out. And lets say i was hungover one day, but work was work. I saw my previous nights antics in the garden from the smell alone. Is it pungent too or not as bad as others?
The wheel wells will test any man's patience! The Iron Remover by Adam's is way less nauseating than most, but it still has that familiar iron fighting smell. I wasn't loopy after though!
Trabalho impecável

Thanks for your compliment, Luciano. All the best to you in Brasil!
Home at Last And now watch all videos from the last few days.
Oliver Messer Enjoy, my friend! ✌️
This undercarriage tool must be very helpful, after these Winters you have over there.
Kai -291 I can’t believe I lived without one for this long. Best $50 I’ve ever spent.
And I thought I was nuts about cleaning my car! This is a whole new level of ocd.
I love it! But I don't know about cleaning the undercarriage of the car, I don't see the point as it's going to get filthy the next time it rains?
Yeah, the undercarriage cleanse is overkill. I only do that once a year and I do it because the idea that there could be dried salt residue in the crevices between the under body protection panels doesn't sit well with me. This entire detail was about ridding every surface I could get to from the ravages of salt.
@@RADGarage ah now it makes more sense! I live in Australia so we don't have salt on our roads like you guys in the USA or Canada 🤙👍✌️
The calcium chloride they use to melt ice is a chalky white chemical that adheres to everything. It's horrid stuff, so we have to deal with it in whatever way we can.
Hey Rick, what size air compressor do you need to run those quick jacks? I really like those! That's an awesome solution and the fact you can break them down fairly quickly and hang them back up, love it. I saw those on a previous video you had last year or the year before and loved them even back then. If you don't have a compressor, do you know of any solution you can do manually? For example, those type lifts, but with a manual hydraulic lift like a floor jack?
The QuickJack system comes with its own electric pump unit. It's a tidy little package for the money!
@@RADGarage No kidding! That's freakin' awesome. I'll be getting me one of those! I plan on getting an air compressor in the near future anyway for other things such as a Tornador, blowing out/drying things, etc. but the fact those quick jacks come with their own compressor is even better. If you don't mind me being a real pain in the ............Can you tell me what brand those are so I can get in touch with the dealer and get me a set. Are they available in the USA or was that a Canadian company purchase? Did you have them shipped to you? I'd imagine shipping on that kit isn't cheap but it's worth it. What did they cost? Thanks for your time and information Rick. I really appreciate it. Joe V
Never mind on the info Rick, I saw the link to them above in your description box. Thanks again sir. Joe
A lot of people get them through Costco.
The music is 🔥🔥🔥
Music is so subjective, so I know I will never please all the ears out there, but it is nice to know you appreciated it.
Someone should make a jet wash that cleans the whole car when drive through to park the car in he garage. Like a large arch with multiple jets. Then during really bad weather you can get rid of most of the dirt each time you return home. Maybe install it on the garage door opening.
Porko Rosso I’m on it! 💪
Your attention to detail is fantastic. Not only. The washing execution but also in your post production and final vide- product. I’m a fellow Audi owner now (Q5) and have a question for you about process. Do you polish or tape-off those black trim areas adjacent to the rear window and C Pillars? They’re black but I think they’re plastic? Or is this painted? I asking cause I don’t know whether I should polish or do something else to those areas
The A, B, C and D pillars are made out of soft plastic and they are highly prone to scratching. A few years ago, I had them protected with paint protection film so I don't have to worry any longer about them scuffing and detracting from the overall pristine condition of my SQ5. I highly recommend finding an installer in your area and having it done. Thanks for the fantastic feedback on my video work. It is something I take a lot of pride in.
RAD GARAGE. Yes. tell me about it...mine are swirl city. Would I need to polish them prior to the PPM?
Yes, the good news is they polish up pretty nicely with little effort. Once they are perfect, I suggest getting them PPF'd.
RAD GARAGE uffff...that’s great to hear...I was afraid I had a permanent issue...will definitely be following this advise. I live in a smaller city so options aren’t limited near by...May need to travel a bit but will be searching for quality PPF installers...what other areas do you recommend I get covered as well? My budget is limited so I’m looking for ‘essentials’. Gracias in advanced.
I will probably have every square inch of my next car protected with PPF. The quality and clarity of the film has really come a long way. If you are just staring out and trying to keep costs under control, I would recommend the hood for sure. I do the full hood but you can also do the leading edge of the hood only. I would find an installer and see what they can do for the budget you are working with. The pillars are a must if you ask me.
How do you clean and take care of your carpro wool mit after each wash?
I just rinse and wring it out and fluff it with my hand and hang to dry.
Definitely need to get a quickjack one day. What is it your using at the 20:23 mark
Yes, the QuickJack is a game changer for me. I am using a anchor mounting peg by a company called Bloxsport. It's a convenient little hack tool.
Great video. I have an Audi Q5 and did a wheel detail last fall. The challenge I faced was reinstalling the wheels. I see you used a tool to thread a temporary bolt then slid the wheel into place. What was that tool? Where could I find it?
Thanks. I love the wheel hanger I have. It is made of aluminum and makes reinstallation of wheels a breeze. The exact one I have is impossible to find now, but this is a compatible one: amzn.to/3qi3iP9
@@RADGarage Thanks! I'll check it out.
You have my dream garage. Sigh. Of course if I had that garage I’d also have to have my dream car, an Aston Martin Rapide S. Out of curiosity do you only detail high end vehicles??
Hi Chandra. Yes, it has become my dream garage and I love working in it. I detail vehicles of all types, but things do seem to be trending towards the more high end stuff. I think my approach appeals to people with a deep appreciation for automobiles so that could be why I am seeing such nice vehicles coming my way.
3:46 Quickjack
DonDomel It’s so great.
How do you cope with all the dirt and waste water sitting in the grooves of your swisstrax flooring? Surely you must find washing in the garage creates problems with moisture, humidity and risk increasing the corrosion process due to moisture laden garage. Do you run a dehumidifier? These aren’t criticisms I’m interested as I’ve always been put off doing this inside my garage due to the concerns I mentioned. Amazing video by the way top class production
The key thing people need to understand is that water doesn't "sit" in the grooves. The water is free to flow once it falls through the grooves to the floor. Every garage floor in Western Canada will experience high levels of water, whether from environmental factors or from washing such as I do. Once that water hits the floor it flows towards the car door. Another environmental factor that people won't really understand is how dry the air is in our alpine climate. The only time I experience any humidity issues is if I am using a pressure washer in the warm garage and the weather outside is very cold. So, I avoid doing that. The only place I have any corrosion is on the base of the garage door rails. Every Spring, I sand the affected area and repaint it. It's a 10-minute fix.
I understand these aren't criticisms, and that it isn't feasible for everyone, but everyone faces different conditions and factors. I hope this sheds light on how my garage functions.
Where are you located?
RAD GARAGE thanks for taking the time to reply much appreciated. That makes complete sense with regards to the water running out under the tiles, I didn’t realise they had this built in which helps make my mind up they are right for me.
I’m in Aberdeen, Scotland, I generally run a small dehumidifier over the cold winter months which maintains 50% RH ideal for vehicles. The summer months the garage barely drops below double fingers (Celsius) this autumn I plan on fitting a garage heater to maintain temps. I’ve subscribed love your videos. Thanks again
I hope you will share some photos of the project once it gets under way. You can email me at radgarageyyc@gmail.com with pic or any questions you may have. Take care.
How you liking those detail popos so far? Also I wish I could use the undercarriage sprayer for my cars but they are all slammed lol
So far a bit linty, but I'll throw them in the wash again. And it would be tricky finding a sprayer to fit under a low rider!
What are those lifting blocks on top of the Quick Jack used in lifting the vehicle (@5:12 mark) & where can they be found? Assume they're some type of non-marring hard rubber.
QuickJack sells rubber mounting blocks for the QJ system. I have three sets of them including my favourite ones include slots that work with pinch welds. Check out their website.
Great video! Also where did you find the Adams rubber mat cleaner?
Someone else was asking about the Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner. I got it from the website originally and now I get it from my local shop Carzilla. Is it not on the Adam's website any longer?
RAD GARAGE thanks for the reply!! I have looked through the website and cannot find it. A quick google search lead me to believe this product is only available through Adams polishes wholesalers
Well, I better buy me a few gallons in case they aren't making it any longer. I love the stuff.
RAD GARAGE I’ve heard good things about it, sounds like my best bet is a local dealer!
How the floor mats works in a garage? where does the water go?
Where does the water go when you have a wet garage floor? Water on my floor flows out the car door.
What lug nut sockets do you recommend?
I am a not a serious tool aficionado. I just picked up a reasonably priced set at my local a Canadian Tire store.
After detailing, how many times a day do you open the garage door from the house just to look at your car? 🤩
Daphne DPics After a project such as this, I don’t leave the garage!
RAD GARAGE I’m not surprised. 😃
Did you rinse the iron remover off the car before washing it?
keld møllnitz I’m not telling you.
Link to your rims?? Just got my 2018 q5 and excited to get new rims and do a chrome delete .
I have a 20" set of TSW "Sprint" that I use as my winter setup. ua-cam.com/video/uH08J9x6oOM/v-deo.html
Which pressure washer do you have?
Nothing fancy at all. It's a Lowe's brand but it is actually built by AR Clean. I don't think Lowe's carries it any more. I put a link in the description to the pressure washer system I am going to pull the trigger on soon.
how does the drainage in your floor work?
I'm trying to get an actual drain added to the garage but it isn't easy. Currently, the slight pitch of the floor and evaporation are my only friends.
I now have a drainage system. Feel free to check it out.
Rick - where I can find the tool to wash the car under?
Octavio Toro It’s a Ryobi Water Broom. Link is down in the equipment list in the video description below. (Or above)
RAD GARAGE - thanks Rick, nice video!
sUPER!

What are you sitting on and where can i get one
William Wombacher It’s the Adam’s rolling stool. I have a link in the video description for Canadian viewers, but you can pick it up through the Adam’s Polishes web store. It’s pretty good.
do you still use it in detailing ?
Are you referring to the QuickJack? If so, yes I do use it periodically when I have a car for multiple days. Pulling the wheels off is so satisfying and easy with the QJ.

Whats that purple product you use with the brush?
At what point/time in the video are you seeing that?
@@RADGarage in 15min and 12 seconds
@@davethenurse1031 That’s a mixture of water and Mega Foam by Adam’s. About a 10:1 dilution. Keeps that detail brush lubricated nicely as I get into the tricky spaces.
@@RADGarage thank you so much!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥
Have you thought of taking those liners right out Rick? I was thinking of doing that to my wife’s Lexus and that was a guy can make sure that there is no build up behind them.
That is a fascinating idea my man. It wouldn't be that difficult since all the screws are easily accessible. Fall project for sure.
Annnnnd next week it'll snow.
At least I have nowhere to go if it does.
