Once your animals get trained to haul, if their usual zone doesn't include both the thing that needs hauling and a stockpile that accepts said object, they aren't going to haul it..

In defense of Dmitri, all he did was bite Evil Jim's eye, the thumb was already gone. So clearly Dmitri realised that since the thumb was gone, the eye would be a better snack

I like how this is supposed to be an evil play through (granted he did harvest the organs of cryo pod people) but most of his efforts have been focused towards harvesting the organs of near dead raiders and he’s actually been quite friendly and inviting towards strangers.
I recommend unroofing at least one tile in your generator room, it’s going to get awfully hot and every time colonists walk in that room they’re going to be hot and uncomfortable. You could try to channel the heat to the rest of your colony though.
Or just lock the doors, unless they have a reason to cut through there.

That can be a danger, because if it gets to hot it might start causing fires. I would just uncover the roof tile right under the top of the vent.

The worst social fight I've ever seen was between two colonists: Nathan and Kim. Kim was a body purist. You may see where this is going.
Anyway, Nathan was our bionic super soldier. He was a crack shot with a sniper rifle and was a legend in hand to hand combat. A man in black marshall from the far off rim.
Kim had insulted him pretty bad after a raid. She had a pretty mega mental break and decided to just follow Nathan around and tell him how bad of a person he was.
Since Nathan basically carried the colony through the fight, he got pissed. As one should. They began to fight.
The aftermath was about one or two bruises to Nathan. Meanwhile, Kim was bleeding out in the hospital with very deep wounds. Nathan literally BIT HER LEFT LEG OFF. CLEAN OFF. HE HAD ENOUGH OF HER SHIT.
It was a legendary moment.

Waffle he didn’t really get killed, he only got recaptured, so there is no debuff
All of them are psychopaths so they don't get a debuff
@@oldtimesT They're all psychopaths, they can't get social buffs and debuffs. The only things than can affect their mood is their needs (e.g. hunger, entertainment).

The two enemies who just beat each other up, lying side by side in the infirmary while a wild boar just wanders through the hospital
I'm loving the new profile picture though I feel that I should point out that muff is an affectionate british term for women's pubic hair, so elon muff is hilarious but mildly jarring.
Also a tip, be sure to keep animals away from alcohol/drugs. A puppy husky got drunk at my settlement, and now as an adult still has built alcohol resistance lol.
Also, may I suggest You try a cannibal challenge? A guy on UA-cam named Pete Complete has completed (ha) an entire walkthrough with a psychopath cannibal colonist in like extreme winter biome. It's interesting to watch
An extreme desert/maximum heat biome could be good for this too. I love those extreme starts
Quick tip: Drafted colonists will extinguish fires next to them.

tip: if you aren't planning on recruiting a prisoner replace their legs with peg-legs, it gives your doctor free experience and they will be so slow that everyone can capture them.
One thing I've realized from seeing you play is that you worry way to much about mountain overhead roof causing infestations
One of his last colonies was devastated by an infestation so I guess it's PTSD?
His Solo Colonist with All Passion no Skills run got ended by an infestation he didn't take care of fast enough. He's paranoid.
It didn't help that he left the infestation to breed
A- I hate inescts
B- Infestation is the second worst event after Scyther raid
I literally disable infestations in my games , it defeats the point of building in mountains.
In my opinion its the worst event because you either deal with them immediatly or hope to be raided by 50 guys that are able to fight for you the insects.

You're literally making the best rim world content on this website.
That Geo-Gen building is going to heat up intensely and possibly cause initial heatstrokes unless you make it a no-passthrough zone by removing some doors or vent it out a bit.
Watching this series, after having enjoyed more of the newer stuff does start to show where all the different phrases and things begin. "Save him.." seems to pop up for the first time in this episode, for example.
Seeing Amphibian become more .. well, him, is neat.

Hey ambiguousamphibian, I've got some tips for your Colony.
You should consider putting a roof over your defense areas. Because on the off chance that you get raided and its raining, fighting under unroofed areas will give an accuracy debuf. This will also remove the "soaking wet" (-3) debuf when fighting.
Also, Geothermal generators don't explode. But they will rise the temperature of the room you put it in. luckily, you used a limestone wall so it won't burn; you did roof it though, so it's probably going to raise the temperature to max. (999C).
And im not sure if you know this but, different stone blocks, like with hitpoints, will give different beauty values when made into sculptures. Marble has the highest beauty of the stone variants and has a higher beauty than steel. So it might be worthwhile making them out of marble than wasting your steel.

Rewatching this 1 year later, I just realized that the bear sounds in Rimworld are literally the exact same as the ones in DayZ.

Careful, bionic parts mean you are vastly increasing your colony wealth. That means stronger raids.
The better melee and medical means that you can offset the damage easier though.
Try having a Hotel type colony run entirely by androids.

You can use wilf boars for corpse disposal. They are pretty good for base defense too 😊

Although your defences will stop small scale assaults just fine, you have very few pawns to stop overwhelming numbers from attacking you.
I'd recommend building a killbox on your east, west and south fortifications to bottleneck raids better and make more use your your highly skilled but few in number colonists. There are dozens of killbox tutorials on youtube if you do decide to build one, they are very simple to make and manage
I recommend the one he tried to use in the last series but failed because mistookes.
Also, since he is playing modded, the auto rearm traps is a good thing.
so in one of my playthroughs 2 people stayed with my colony through the winter, right before they were going to leave they both betrayed me, we killed one and the other fled, the next winter one of them called me and asked for my help and that they were being held captive, my response was "fuck no, you destroyed my solar panel" and I had no components so we were fucked the rest of the winter.
The algorithm has picked up this series I love it, and the channel!

About cleanlyness: one thing I do to keep places I want clean is to reduce home zone to the bare minimun and put everyone that can clean on 1 cleaning, this way they keep the place as tidy as possible and don't go crazy cleaning the pasture or something, for instance, instead of having a big rectangle home zone where the wind turbines are, I put home zone solely on the wind turbine itself and every cable tile, instead of having a big square home zone around growing areas I keep the home zone the exact size of the growing area, and so on and so forth, with everyone at 1 cleaning the place looks shining clean; keep in mind that you DO need to have workbenches, machines, cables, etc, inside home zone, if they break or burst into flames and are outside home zone, your colonists won't fix them.
I'm not saying this is the best strategy, but it's the best I've found so far, as long as I don't have a dedicated janitor, when I can afford a dedicated janitor I use him instead.

I don't know if you know about this, but to pick up loot from parties, you can just allow the items to be delt with (get the red X off), select that ground as storage area, and restrict that section to basically no items (ban them in that storage area), your men will move it from that "storage" to another one that allows the items.
Dmitri be like: "Clickity Clack, your thumbs and eyes are my snack."

Just a small recommendation, the first button on the top row under the speed controls will consolidate your inventory so that you can open only the important things you need to see at a glance, you really don't need to specifically know every different type of meat you have etc.
I love how boars are at least somewhat strong in this game.
They are very underrated in real life with their great mass, speed and sharp tusks.
After this series would you consider doing another hundred colonists play through because i really loved that last one. but i love your videos keep up the good work!

The geothermal generator wont explode if unroofed, but it should be protected because raiders will go after it, like they do with coolers, basically expensive stuff :)

You can use just sandbags as cover for your people, I don’t think u need the walls
For all turrets, it helps if you put a power switch so they don't drain your batteries
I'd suggest moving the crafting spot next to the stonecutting table so it isn't behind the machining table, since the colonists get slowed down while trying to move over it. Just to increase efficiency a little bit :)
it'd be cool to see a dedicated "rancher" run - get a colony built on taming and training animals and selling them/things produced from them

When I am in the early game, I tend to put corpses and other junk into rivers and other bodies of water far away enough from my base instead of taking the time to make a crematorium since water speeds up the rate in which objects deteriorate.
I make dumps near where raids spawn that way when they're stepping over the bodies of their friends they're warned about exactly what they're about to walk into

for the crematorium you can just use eletrical ventilator (the thing who heat up a side and froze the other side) and heater in , in a little zone and put a swithc at the exterior ; when you active alle everyything burn
I would suggest building like a small chimney or so for the thermal power plant as the room will naturally heat up to fatal levels for colonists and animals

I've had a Pawn killed as a direct result of a social fight. Which is to say, the social fight ended when one of the two parties died.
Playthroughs like this make this really look fun, I fear I won't like it as much when I'd play it myself(due to me becoming overwhelmed). :/
