I was sailing with friends in the 90's in Friesland, The Netherlands. Many harbours had special area's for youth, and many kids had huge stereo's on their boats. One morning out of the blue and when it still was totally silend in the harbour somebody turned on this song really loud. And everbody got up with a huge smile. I will never forget that atmosphere of a couple of hundred strangers being one family at that time. Sharing breakfast, having the first beer of the day and dancing in the morning sun.
It will, if you only allowed to qalk in a circles in gray, ugky warehouse per months without stop and missing out on life, while listening to this crap.
For a while I had an extract from the Beatles' Hello Goodbye as my phone call ringtone but then started getting worried about missing calls if I had the actual song playing.
A blast of sunshine. I remember just smiling the first time I ever heard it because it was so perfect. It still makes me smile 27 years on and it is still perfect.
Toller Brown thats so strange I remember my mum doing the exact same thing before I went to school, and I would of been around 13 at the time and I am 33 now so yes about 20yrs ago and I remember the sun shining through the window too so they must of only played it when it was a beautiful morning lol.
I was looking for this song for 20 years from Japan!! Thanks for google’s function searching by hamming!! I will listen to it every morning from tomorrow❤
This song... "There She Goes" by the La's... and "You Get What You Give" by the New Radicals just seem to be bound together by the fabric of the universe, like they all arrived as some trilogy of 90s optimistic all in one box all at once.
Me too Peavey! The morning after England beat the Dutch in Euro '96, woke up to Chris Evans screaming his head off that we'd won the world cup while playing this track. Haha
There were everything you said in 90's. You were too young to remember and it was less broadcasted on social medias and Internet because they actually didn't exist. People should study history before saying wrong things...
+James Leare I feel this was a commercial cop-out! Indie bubblegum wannabe mainstream fluff at it's worst. Thank the gods of taste and dignity that "C'Mon Kids" brought back some credibility to a wonderfully talented band... But each to their own of course ;-)
This song randomly came to mind as I woke up late 😅 I heard it as a child ('00s kid). I thought it was from the 2000s trying to be 60s, and when I finally saw the video I thought it's a bit like Squeeze, early 80s, but it was 1995 😄 Great song 🎶
Always reminds me of the long hot summer of '95. That was my GCSE year and we studied To Kill A Mockingbird where Boo Radley is one of the characters. Happy Days.
There is no such thing as timeless masterpiece. But forcing your music on others is bad and can make them hate it. I can say this is endless poop-track.
Banger!!!! Pure 90s gem. The thing I loved about the 90s was the diversity on mainstream radio. Now everything sounds the same. Everything from the 90s was banging.
I agree. But I feel as they were a band associated with the britpop movement, majority of bands of this movement didn’t gain international success and if they did it would probably gain success for single hits.
Completely agree. It was so much easier. What we ask from life asks from us. We ask for annual mobile phones, streaming media, 10,000 flavours of ice cream, toilet rolls with puppy dogs, drive through meals, pre peeled oranges, singing justin bieber tooth brushes, fidget spinners, space hoppers and all other latest flash in the pan that we believe will fill the spiritual gap absent from our souls. Keep your crap, it all ends up in the bin and if we carry on this facade, then people will too.
It's weird how this song became like a big summer festival anthem when the opening line is "summer's gone..." Great song. Actually written about wintertime.
Takes me back to being 15! This song was EVERYWHERE when it came out, and it was used allot as a intro track for Breakfast radio, and serial adverts! Such a good song, actually reminds of "Ready To Go" by Republica, both iconic songs!🙂
This was the song playing on the taxi's radio when I first got to Osaka. It was night time but still felt magical with the unique and awesome vibe the city of Osaka has :) Such a simple experience that I'll never forget.
A few weeks ago my mum was in bad shape, the end was close and my sister and I decided we’d do a bedside vigil until the end. At least one of us would be there no matter how long. As I pulled into the carehome where she was living I noticed this song on the radio as I parked, I heard “wake up it’s a beautiful, for what might be the very last time” just before I turned the engine off and went in.
You can see it's bloody freezing, so the song is all about memories and judging by the comments, it's awakened some great and some not so much, exactly what music should do...
First time I heard this song was summer time 97 I was 6 staying at my aunties down Eastbourne and this song was on every morning brings back so many memories of Eastbourne
I have to admit I am here because I saw this on the Britpop documentary on Channel 5 the other week for some nostalgia of my youth. I didn' t these guys where on the same label as Oasis. Goes to show what a genius Alan McGee was.
Tate is really a Top G he recommended us this song
Do you ever spend the evening on UA-cam, discovering music from your past and wishing you were there again?
yes 💔
All the time Jane if only.

One of the most perfect pop songs ever written....
Lee Sayers That's true - it always puts me in a good mood - probably because like many here I remember it playing on the radio first time round!

Begs the question what do you consider is the worst song of all time?.
It will, if you only allowed to qalk in a circles in gray, ugky warehouse per months without stop and missing out on life, while listening to this crap.
For a time, this was my alarm ringtone. Always such a good feeling waking up to this song.
I was gonna do the same, but I figured I might start to hate it, if it was waking me up every day! Tune tho.....
For a while I had an extract from the Beatles' Hello Goodbye as my phone call ringtone but then started getting worried about missing calls if I had the actual song playing.
Eternally optimistic classic. It just feels good. Nothing but warm vibes.
A blast of sunshine. I remember just smiling the first time I ever heard it because it was so perfect. It still makes me smile 27 years on and it is still perfect.
There's a bundle of tunes that just scream "90s!". This is one of 'em!
Young at Heart by The Bluebells.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Deep Blue Something.
All Together Now by The Farm.
Supergrass - Alright
😊What a great way to wake up listening to this energising upbeat song...never fails to bring a smile to my face 😊 thank you for the music❤
Reminds me of my final year of school 95-96. I'm 40 now, how time flies! Good times!
this used to start the morning radio, 20years ago my mum used to open my curtains and put the radio on as this was coming on.
Toller Brown thats so strange I remember my mum doing the exact same thing before I went to school, and I would of been around 13 at the time and I am 33 now so yes about 20yrs ago and I remember the sun shining through the window too so they must of only played it when it was a beautiful morning lol.
wow.. exactly the same for me. I'm 34 now. I play it to my 7 year old when he's waking up, carrying on the tradition :)
Used to be on radio on school bus around 20 years ago as we drive along west of Ireland makes me happy and sad at same time
Bloody hell I remember that too lol
Way way back, on 6:00am this song always a start up song from DJ Yasmin. Love it a lot.
Total feelgood song
Getting up for school while listening this song at the radio, this sound still brings me back to the 90ies.
I was looking for this song for 20 years from Japan!!
Thanks for google’s function searching by hamming!!
I will listen to it every morning from tomorrow❤
Monster Radio in Yamagata used it as their opening song of the program World Wrap in the 90s, if I remember correctly...
this song takes me back to 1995 and I miss that time. Also well done to the band for calling themselves after a character from Harper Lee's novel.
Anyone here after Top G saying that he love this song?
Such a wee happy 90s song. This is infinitely better than most of what’s new today. 😔
This song... "There She Goes" by the La's... and "You Get What You Give" by the New Radicals just seem to be bound together by the fabric of the universe, like they all arrived as some trilogy of 90s optimistic all in one box all at once.

Miss the 90's, life was more simple.
Exactly what I thought, even though I only spent a couple of months in the 90s lol...good times!
youre not 90's then
Of course life was simple... You were a baby. Life is simple for baby's in 2017, except it's better because they have iPads.

Great song for the summer days. 1995 was a good year when it came out. Even EastEnders had it playing in the caff.
I feel this should have been a bigger hit than it was.
There isn't much views, but it was only posted late 2014
