Its cus of your good timing, after watching the show everyone was looking for extra Wednesday Addams content, and you aced the execution. You could probably follow every (good) major movie/tv release with fanart and see those same viral outcomes.
You might like some of the 3rd party hotkey devices floating around, usually they have bindable keys you can map to the buttons or express ones for different programs, really cuts down on the space needed and groups them better for easy access. Since they are a fraction of the size of a normal keyboard they make for good bluetooth options when you need more versatility and space.
the way you paint (flat colors first, shadows in another multiply layer) makes a lot of sense for you since you've already figured out the forms in your under-sketch (or in this case line-art), and you just need to paint in the lights and shadows. The other approach I feel is more useful when you haven't fully figured out the forms yet so you're just experimenting with different shadow shapes until you flesh things out, and then do a re-paint of top of that. In other words it's like they're sketching with a paint brush rather than a pen.

If you're using Clip Studio, a great replacement for a keyboard is actually a Switch Joycon (left or right) + reWASD (paid) or Joy2Key (free). Basically rewasd turns the joycon into a keyboard and you can map your CSP shortcuts to the buttons, and you can get endless button combos because each button can have things mapped to one press, two presses, long press, etc. I can't go back to keyboard shortcuts now tbh
I feel the same way about backgrounds, now that I think about it the last time I drew somthing with a background on was almost a year ago... lol I gotta work on that, but anyway I think the illustration looks great and I love the way you draw folds on clothes, i think the shapes are really aesthetically pleasing to look at.

i actually recently watched an artist called mizki i think thats how u spell it and they have an awesome way to defeat background insecurity haha, they basically make the characters and other things on different paper and then the background on its own paper and then just stick the character and some other bits and bobs on top, it seems really cool! maybe you guys should try it i think i will try it as it seems like it can help eliminate that fear of backgrounds
I have exact same laptop and i just work on my bed. That is super awesome. Laziest workflow ever. But I work on tablet mostly so the screen is sometime hard for me
You might have mentioned this in the video and I missed it, but what did you do with your line work layer to make it blend? Put the blending mode to multiply? Or clipping masked a layer on top of it and added color?
I just coloured the lineart in pixel lock mode. When an illustration is straight forward like this, I usually don't bother with clipping masks on the lineart and just colour it as I do the flats.
I love your art so much, but I have a suggestion that... that please just don't skip in the middle of it... like u know when sometimes it takes a bit long, so u skip it... so just don't skip it in the middle so that I can see the whole prosses!!!! (no hate!!)
