OH MY GOD I'M YOUR THUMBNAIL! I feel so honored 😍😭 Sam you made my day 🥰 You're my favorite social media artist, I love being a patreon! Thank you for inspiring me to become a better artist- whenever I'm unmotivated I just watch your videos and instantly want to draw again! 😂
@@Bobinsky607 for me, watching tutorials for the art basics was really helpful, and then a lot of practise, I pretty much drew every day. It's really important to make a habit out of it I think, even if it's just 5 mins a day. Yeah I copied a lot of what I saw in real life and got inspired by artists like sam, always simplifying stuff and then adding details 🥰 hope that helps
Me had art block for the past few weeks , me watching sam today , me motivated by the video , me started drawing , me happy. In conclusion : thanks sam ;)
I used to be very insecurte about my own art and skipped all of your art glowup videos. Now I am so much more confident after not comparing myself to other artists as much and I see those videos as an insoiration rather than competition. Thank you for helping so many people on their art jurney. We love u
Im a hybrid between traditional art and didgital because i hate sketching on a device, so i do it paper and pencil, then i take a picture and color in an app. It's actually so helpful to do it this way, too, because im not obsessed with the details. In fidgital art, you can zoom in and get extra precission, but it can prevent you from letting the eyes immagine. It can also mess up your layout a lot more. I had one didgital tablet that didn't let me zoom in, and it gave me more detail than if it would have. It also gave me more confidence. I could press undo a million times, but it would ruin that one line I drew, so I'd have to leave my mistakes as it was harder to erase small details without zooming in. ❤
Ever since my Birb Plush came in the mail, he’s become almost like a little mascot for my art station. Having pieces of my favorite artists at my desk motivates me to improve my own art.
Jesus Christ these are improvements 🤤🤤🤤🤤 this is why it is SO IMPORTANT TO //KEEP// ALL OF THOSE UGLY/FAILED DRAWINGS. I have art from throughout the years starting from 2011 that I still have and when I look at them compared to my stuff now, I still sorta get blown away by my own progress. The little changes and improvements I see are what keeps me coming back and wanting to improve :’)
Thats and art advice i always say, always keep your old drawing. The older the better, and when ever you feel down, look at your old drawings and at how far you have come. At this moment you are always the most skilled you have ever been.
Dude, I just found your channel last night, and oh my gosh you are AMAZING. It’s brought up so much more confidence for me in art, and I’ve just started slowing down. I started earlier this year with really trying art, and I think I’ve improved a lot in that time. Thank you so much for everything.
Man, I still have a bunch of my old artwork from back in 5th grade, now as I get ready to graduate it makes me feel so much better looking back and seeing how much my art did improve since I still feel stuck at times in my own style. All of this was super impressive though!
5:20 .. i needed to hear this.. im 27 and honestly my art sucks ass and when i try to learn i always think i wont be good enough and im already almost 30 and bla bla bla, now to see someone also starting late is helping
Hey Sam, just dropping by to thank you for the videos you make. I've been following your channel for a few years now and have always admired the art you showcase, but I never had the courage to pick up the pencil myself. Recently, I finally made the decision to learn how to draw thanks to the inspiration you bring. Keep up the great work, and know that you influence many people to pursue the path of art!
Gosh I love sam's videos. This man is an absolute legend. whenever I think my short attention span is getting to me--- I'll see a vid from him pop up, then 5 hours later realize I've just binged his channel for the 5th time :P
I am having art block but my motivation comes back whenever I'm busy with my work or when Sam appears on my notifs 😂 Seeing these great ppl and their art glow ups makes one both ashamed (since I'm a huge procrastinator so my art isn't improving much) and motivated to work hard and try to see a glow up as well! So thank you Sam and patreons!
remember what Sam said, sometimes progress can take decades, as long as you keep at it, you'll see just as much improvement as the people in this video 💪💪💪
I like both digital and traditional art, both for their own reason- digital art makes it easier to draw steady lines, and you can test out alot of colors, while traditional art is, in my opinion, much easier to sketch in!
seeing that it takes years to improve like that makes me feel better about my slow progress (its not been that long im just impatient and give up too easily)
Gotta send this video to all the "I wish I could draw" , "I can barely do a stickman", "I wish I was talented like you" type people. This video should be such a motivator for people who think they can't learn, especially the ones who think it's too late for them (no such thing).
what's really scary is how quickly my sister jumped. She isn't a patreon member, so she wouldn't be in here, but she is a subscriber and big fan. She spent all her money that she saved up to buy a samsung tablet (now wishes she had an ipad for procreate), and in three months her art jumped so much it would scare sam fr. (she could probably give 90% credit to you tho, ngl)
HONESTLY waking up to a Sam video made my entire day. Man its crazy to see people's improvement. Super entertaining, a nice little video to watch while I ate my breakfast
Going from traditional to mainly pixel art was an adventure and I love it I still do traditional art now and then for school and such but I’d love to be in one of these videos one day.
When I was in 4th grade I just liked to draw people on the back of my quiz papers when I was done and they were really bad. They just had circles with a pointed edge for heads and they were always super skinny because I just drew straight lines for the sides of their bodies and I gave them incredibly narrow shoulders. Now I still absolutely suck at doing anything that has colors(I only draw in black and white as I'm a traditional artist) and I still can't do backgrounds or complex pictures but I would say that I've gotten pretty good at drawing realism when it comes to people and animals.
You make me laugh so much, Sam. (the youtuber not the one featured in the- yeah) I really enjoy watching your videos, and I feel very inspired whenever I watch one of your videos. Though I don't feel very good at art when seeing the other art here, it still inspires me to get started! Hopefully I get a digital pen or somethin' -my finger gets really raw-
