Thankful for FFRF and for "The Friendly Atheist" Hemant Mehta. Our non-religious voice, the NONE's, need to be recognized.
Hemant my precious news goober
I enjoy Chris and Liz!
Yay Hemant!
Conservative “unity” usually means “here's your invitation to capitulate to conservative demands”. It's a veiled threat, not well-intentioned bridge building.
I watch the Friendly Atheist Podcast Every Day. Thanks ❤🙏❤️
Think they ever include Hindu, Jewish, Wiccan, Muslim or Buddhist prayer?
Prayer: The most effective method to demonstrate the ineffectiveness of prayer.
Nothing fails like prayer.
I appreciate the work that Hemant does and I am a paid supporter of his podcast. He truly is the friendly atheist. Keep up the good work FFRF.
Love Hemant!! Love FFRF!!! Great interview
Religion pulls everything back to the Dark Ages.
Even if every single resident of London, KY shared his particular version of faith it would still be unconstitutional for the mayor to be promoting it as part of his official duties.
Show me a theocracy that has not gone predictably, and ridiculously wrong…
The US. They ‘think’ they are the greatest country on this planet and yet cling to a 2000 year old world view.
So contradictory.
Please remember there are still a lot of us who are not Christians, much less Nationalists. Some of us have more than half a brain, and good morals, both.
Perhaps next year TST can show up at these little prayer breakfasts. Every one is invited right?
Great show! Great guest! 👍🖖
Thank you for letting me know that May 4th is the National day of Reason. I will be sure to annoy my friends.
The Bible and the Constitution are totally contradictory. It takes a whole lot of cognitive dissonance to believe in both.
TREATY OF TRIPOLI by JOHN ADAMS 1796
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion...
A 2018 Supreme Court Ruling re-affirmed this statement, from The Treaty of Tripoli.
The Supreme Court released an opinion on May 14, 2018 in Murphy v. National Collegiate Athletic Assn., 584 U. S. (2018), Justice Thomas in his concurring opinion wrote:
"The Treaty of Tripoli was passed by the Senate and signed into law by President John Adams. As such, it is a "legislated text" which must be read "textually". The lower courts in this case read a hypothetical legislative intention into the text by dismissing Article 11 as "a mere formality". The language itself makes a clear direct statement that our government is not based on the Christian religion and any attempt by a government official to represent our government as Christian contradicts the text and the historical understanding of our founders.”
in their defense, the bible contradics reality, too. 1 more contradiction is not an issue for the brainwa... I mean, for the religi0us.

Did you see him on Jeopardy ?

Grace Church Maryland Heights MO...has weekly videos on politics...It drives me nuts that they support political candidates. Its a HUGE church. Makes me sick.
38:20 *FAITH HAS NO IMPORTANCE!*
If I knew for sure I was going to live after I croak, I mite care. Anyone who says they know what happens to you after you die, is either lieing or is a fool, or both.
@@JOHNDAVIS-b6r Might, not mite. mite can be a tiny insect. Might means either strength or possibility of something. To "lie" or to be caught "lying". Lie is either to rest on a bed, or tell an untruth. Lying is the act of resting on a bed or telling an untruth. I needed to clarify things as your spelling is at primary school level.
@@neilforbes416 pedantic much?
Faith is the most insidious form of dishonesty, in my humble opinion.

Yeesh that woman in red was creepy!
Truly.
Oh yeah, forgot about this dude.
One hand clapping is better than two hand!s praying.
😂
To the Friendly atheist: Where did man come from?
Olive Garden, when we say "when" to the amount of Parmesan on you're salad, we say "when" for Christianity in America life even if they don't think so.
Prayer.. sitting alone or in group thinking about others, especially children = CREEPY OR WHAT!
Mehta must be a common name like Smith or Jones?
thank you
