Yes he has a reason to hit him there, he has to protect himself from being utterly devastated by a left hook from Williams. But it’s the same argument that Larry Holmes did to an ageing Ali in there title fight some 14 years later. I keep hitting a weak spot that does not make me better than the other fighter. You may have the right to hit that area. But it just shows the measure of who you are a weak nobody that when faced with a man at 100% health you’d loose. So in actual fact it speaks volumes of the challenger not the Champion.
