      Nah lol, he'd get murked in today's boxing league. Someone like Paquiao or Mayweather would embarrass him, and they give up a lot of size. I'm not a boxing fan, but I understand the evolution of a sport and how it's just not comparable to today. The comp was garbage, now everybody in a pro boxing league has been doing it since they were kids and know tactics that Ali would've never thought about. Hell, Wilt Chamberlain would've smoked him had Ali's manager not pull out of the fight because he was genuinely afraid of their star boxer losing to an NBA player lmao. If everybody in the world boxed, he wouldn't be close to the top. He can only beat whoever decided to fight at the time.

    • @nowimhigh
      @nowimhigh 3 роки тому +4

      @@a-a-rondavis9438 you're just talking out your ass and it's quite obvious that you aren't a boxing fan. What you're accusing Ali of, is exactly what today's fighter do. They duck all of the real threats. They hand pick their challengers so they know they will beat them. Which was surprisingly shocking about the Fury vs Wildler even happened. Even then Wilder is extremely over rated, he's one dimensional with just a one hit knock out punch potential. So its no surprised as the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight is announced it's said now the fight can't happen until a 3rd fight happens between Wildler and Fury. Like seriously why? It's a waste, Wildlers time is up, Joshua has 3 belts that Fury needs. Ali never ducked anyone. He fought every challenger that came his way. He fought all of the top guys of his time.

      Three years out of the ring. Has two warm up fights then fights a prime Joe Frazier. I would say he took the Frazier fight to soon. Tyson got frustrated with good boxer. Ali was one hell of a man, an icon a a great role model. Especially during a time of political and racial prejudice. He had every right to dodge the draft, he made a great point. Freedom of religion my ass, I'm an atheist. But I have the upmost respect for anyone's religious beliefs. He handled himself perfectly. He was just himself through and through. Him dodging the draft was more than a religious and political statement. He was making a point, he definitely wasn't scared to join the armed forces. Of course if he did he would of had it easy as most celebrities did around the time. They would of likely used his gift of gab to promote joining the armed forces. Something he just ethically couldn't support. He single handidly stood up to the Government. He understood that the war was complete bullshit. Which is why there will never be another draft again. It violates our rights and everything this country stands for in the first place. So they denounced him, when in fact he was more patriotic than ppl give him credit for.
    They tried to slander the man, and take away all of his wealth and titles he earned. Tried to twist his words and tout him as a racist. He wasn't anti white at all. He called out all of the ideologies that indoctrinated the people. Pointing out the hypocrisy and contradictions that have been instilled upon the ppl for centuries. He helped open the ppls mind and for that he was dangerous. I'm surprised they didn't assassinate the man. He was a leader and was seeking equality amongst everyone. He was more than just a boxer. He entitled what it was to really be a champion. He became a legend in his own right if you ask me. He was a humanist before anything. He conveyed confidence that could only be respected. That era needed a man like Ali, he saw the importance in what he did. He rose up and became a true leader amongst men. In a time when the Government sought conformity. He became a defacto spokes person for the counter culture. He spoke for the ones that couldn't speak. It took major balls to do what came so naturally to him. He had the moral and social responsibility to do what was right. He spoke for more than just one group of ppl. He spoke and stood up for all that had been persecuted for non conformity. He was so talented of a speaker that he always got his point across. He was so good that even the ppl that hated couldn't help but still like the man. That alone is Testament to his gift. To me this is what makes him the greatest Champion of all time. He may of not of been the greatest boxer. He still easily is in the top 5. But he most definitely was the greatest Champion ever for what he did on and off the ring. How he carried himself so eloquently and endearingly. You can't help but admire the man for who he was. There was no denying his greatness. He may of came off as cocky and arrogant. But he just used this as a means to get into weak minded ppls heads. He was a chess player in the art of psychological warfare. He only did this for the ones who doubted him. He is one of a kind and there will never be another champion like him. You won't see another humble champion of his likes ever again. He took the time to reach out to his fans of all ethnicities. He transcended the barriers that had been created to keep a man of color down for all of those yrs. This is why I say he was a great role model for all. He simply stood up for those who couldn't do so themselves. He stood up for what was right and he was never afraid to speak his mind.
    No, in today's society there will never be a champ quite like him. Today were have become even more detached from reality, even more jaded and materialistic. Look at most elite boxers and fighters period. They are caught up in the lifestyle of luxury. Look at Mayweather and how he just loves to tout his status. He loves to flaunt his wealth. He considers himself the greatest champ ever because he is undefeated. He doesn't even come close to being half the champ Ali was.

Yes he has a reason to hit him there, he has to protect himself from being utterly devastated by a left hook from Williams. But it’s the same argument that Larry Holmes did to an ageing Ali in there title fight some 14 years later. I keep hitting a weak spot that does not make me better than the other fighter. You may have the right to hit that area. But it just shows the measure of who you are a weak nobody that when faced with a man at 100% health you’d loose. So in actual fact it speaks volumes of the challenger not the Champion.

      @@rondocombatgems3949 Like I said he is entitled to hit to the body to get Williams to lower his guard defence and wear him out. But that does not make him great it shows how he can use dirty tactics to win and that is why Larry Holmes was treated too unfairly because like Ali Lovers there are always exceptions and double standards

    What about Floyd Patterson?
    What about Jack Johnson?
    Yes Ali could run the fastest. He could dodge and hit on the fly.

The white giy stallone blassef rocky off of took him the distancst. Now to all of you watch liston training for the second fight just watching him train was amazing everyone and i mean everyone said he was in the best shape of his life..ali pulled out the fighted was delayed for months Dempsey didn't even watch the secndt fight. Neither did marciano. Cause they both said on video what they expected to happen and it did. Watch the first alo liston fight scorre it. It was fixed the second liston was ready. Read it as you want liston would have won at his best jou louis would have. .boxing is the most crooked sport innthe world
