I really like your repair, other channels have the exhaust off, axle ripped apart, all rear suspension taken apart. I like your common sense approach! Good video!
I just did mine on my cts and i had hell gettung the new one in. Using every technique from a bolt jig, lube, heat, c-clamps, sanding it down to outting it in the freezer i still had about 3 hours of beating it in. It was so ober sized that it striped the threads on my bolt and nut jig i made. It rides smooth as ever now though
Thanks for your great video. You never told us the torque for the bushing. Creative steel company said 130 ft Ibs. I have a 2003 Cadillac CTS 3.2 v6 the 2 rear bushing bolts on subframe are both slightly to the right. Rust circle where they used to be 1/2 inch to left where I see a white painted arrow someone marked it there. My question is can the rear bushing bolts be realigned and tightened to the right spot? Anyone with knowledge on this? Thanks
I know this video is 3 years old but I have a different symptom on the same car and hoped you may have an answer. I dont hesr anything when I change gears but when I accelerate quickly I hear a thumping coming from it sounds like the driveshaft. Is there a bearing or something that would cause that?
Yes indeed. Mine would sound like rabbits jumping in my trunk when i put it reverse or drive or change gears. Turns out that it waa that bushing he is changing and also there is a carrier bearing midway on the drive shaft. Get someone to get in the car and make it act up while you look under and youll see the drive shaft jump up when they put it in drive or reverse. Changed mine
Thanks for the video, I plan to do this sometime this month, but need todo the driveshaft carrier bearing too.... Your way is pretty smart, I'll probably do mostly the same :) Did you replace only one bushing or two?

No it's still going to be the bushing.
Did you do this because it was clunking when put into drive, reverse or when driving??
