I am a musician and whenever Iisten to music on speaker with a strong bass, my jaw aches immediately and that continues for days or even weeks. Otherwise, I don't have many problems. Is that related to TMJ?
Anxiety reduction is the best, which usually involves some form of meditation practice, taking time each day to quiet the body and the mind. I would highly recommend yoga and/or Tai Chi. Exercise often helps the body release some of the pent-up anxious energy. Massage is also helpful for many people. And if you're unable to take control of your own body, you'll have to turn to pharmaceuticals like BOTOX, muscle relaxants, topical compounded medications.
I don't think I can cure anyone. The body heals itself. What I can offer is help with identifying the problems, provide guidance to help the body repair and heal, administer temporary palliative measures for pain relief, and construct bite splints/orthotics for long-term protection from parafunctional activity. Please call the office for questions about costs.
Trigeminal Neuralgia literally means "pain originating in the trigeminal nerve," and can be caused by many things, including myofascial trigger points, TMJ capsular inflammation, dental pulpitis, and sometimes impingement of the root of the trigeminal nerve as it exits the brain under the middle cerebral artery. The relationship is that almost all pain in and around the face is perceived via signals that are transmitted to the brain through the trigeminal nerve. The diagnosis of trigeminal neuralgia usually means a person has facial pain and nobody can figure out why.
I don't really know anything about that specifically, as I don't think I've ever really seen it. I don't quite see how radiation treatment would directly impact the function of the jaw joints or muscles. It definitely impacts salivary gland function.
Mine is getting better. I think it started because of stress. It really started to improve when I started lying on my back across the bed with my head and arms flopped over the side. Stretching the underside of my neck seems to do the trick for me. It no longer hurt to eat and is just a dull pain which is lessening every day. I've had problems with it for several months.
The headaches, ohh, the awful headaches.

hi, my jaw feels like i have to move it to the right until it clicks and then back to normal position.
What other options exist for helping to relax the overactive muscles for those of us who have the anxiety-induced muscle tension?

Can you discuss the formation of a pseudodisc? Are they strong enough like the articular discs and do they last for life?
I will put this on my list! The short answer is that they are not as durable as your original disc, but they can be a stable adaptation over time.
When i open my mouth the click is combined with dislocation of the jaw to the right. Is it TMJ?
I have exactly this problem
I am from Canada. How much would it cost to see you for my TMJ from my wisdom teeth extraction - and do you think you can cure me? Thank you

My jaw used to click a lot. now, it is completely locked. It doesn't pain but I'm unable to open my mouth properly. So Should I consult a dentist?
Yes.

Can you make a video about TMJ issues caused by radiation treatment?
I don't really know anything about that specifically, as I don't think I've ever really seen it. I don't quite see how radiation treatment would directly impact the function of the jaw joints or muscles. It definitely impacts salivary gland function.
Is this a life long problem?
