There's many respectable great singers aound.....but Dimash is the one with most vocal colours and souls in his singing.
OY! I’m a 72 year old geezer from Northern California. I discovered Dimash a week ago and my new hobby is watching vocal trainers/coaches and musicians lose their shit while reacting to Dimash. Now my Mum was singing on the stage in Britain and gave private voice lessons in a Hollywood studio, so I’m not exactly a newcomer to operatic arias…….but this is another realm entirely. A C2 to an F6 + a D8 in whistle register is just……. otherworldly! The piano keyboard cannot contain his range. Simply phenomenal, and with such technical perfection!!! He is steps ahead in evolutionary development of sound production.
I’ve heard ‘the whistle’ He is amazing…. I’ve enjoyed listening to him for awhile now… going back and listening and watching all the ‘first time reactions’ - they are a riot. Yes, this man is a unicorn for sure! Such a phenomenal range - so happy he is getting more recognition. Such a hard working vocalist….truly one of a kind artist. 😊
No Hype, it's real. He can sing in many genres and languages. He has been training his voice for over 20yrs and keeps getting better. He doesnt worry about branding, he just sings. When I say 'just sings" that's the understatement of the year. As u continue with listening to him u will understand. ... Dimash was here in america for World's Best reality competition... and when the producers lied to him and tried to trick him into competing against two minors he quit the show. I believe that is the reason he's not big here. I absolutely love him though was such a pleasure to discover him here on UA-cam during lockdown so I was late to the party so to speak discovering him
I adore watching reactions to the incredible Dimash, including yours, isn't he just so exciting to hear. He really is a master of everything he sings, his range, clarity, control, emotion, purity and stage presence are just phenomenal. I first became aware of him 4 years ago and I have been enthralled by every performance he gives. He is now adored by millions Worldwide......a true Master of his voice, and still so young.

Dimash, born May 1994, 6ft. 3in. tall, sings in multiple languages, many genres, from opera to rock, to rap, to folk, to jazz, to, blues, to........anything he wants to. Plays several instruments, 7.7 octaves, won his first piano competition at age 6, but concentration on his singing began at age 5, when he told his teachers the piano was out of tune. They then found out he has absolute pitch. He's been on stage since the age of 2, & knew right then that's where he wanted to be. Highly educated with several university degrees in music, earning pretty much perfect scores, speaks 3 languages, & is learning Mandarin. He appeals to all age groups with whatever he sings, & that 2 stringed instrument in Stranger is call a Kobyz....ancient Kazakh instrument.

As you mention, he loves his country and is proud of his culture. His interviews are thought provoking. He appreciates his fans and is very charismatic on and off stage. He is also a darn good actor and composer. @@CFEntertains For me, it's a hype when people are artificially built up by the music industry and numerous teenagers worship the star, even though he couldn't sing without a recording studio. Dimash music is loved by all ages who have the ear and the feeling for sounds and skills. Not too long ago I heard S.O.S. (performance at Slavic Bazar) and Ave Maria (composition for him, event new wave) from him for the first time, and since then I have loved this voice.
Dimash’s fan base (his Dears as he calls us) is absolutely unique - from little children up to people in their 90s and literally from all over the world. People travel to his concerts so his audience is like the United Nations - consisting usually from people from over 60 countries coming together. I remember his first concert in Europe - London - a man from the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan who sponsored the event being completely shocked not only by the number of countries the audience came from but that these people sang Dimash’s songs with him in Kazakh! He has the unique ability to bring people together, he is humble and respectful and a gentle human being and people love him because of that and not “just” his voice.
The instrument is called a Kobyz. It is an ancient and traditional instrument of Kazakhstan. It is made of one piece of wood, the strings are made of horse hair, and the cover over the body is made of goat skin. Dimash has a vocal range of 7 octaves and 2 semi-tones. He began his music studies at age five and now has several degrees, including a Ph.D. in music composition. He still does vocal training for 3-5 hours every day. Dimash said that since he was 2, he has never wanted to do anything but sing. There are no words to describe Dimash. He is humble and loves his family, country, and "Dears", the term he uses for his fans. You will be hard-pressed to try to define Dimash's style. I am 74 years of age, and I fell in love with Dimash when he first hit the scene appearing on the Chinese show "The Singer 2017. He only spoke Kazakh and Russian. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, and only had one week to learn each song. You have just begun a journey to music nirvana with Dimash. There is no one like him. He did a concert here in the States at the Barclay Center in New York, just before Covid hit. There were fans, pardon me, Dears from 47 States and 54 countries. What other artist can make that claim? I wanted to share my own perspective on something you mentioned at the beginning of your branding observations which is the makeup of Dimash's audience. One of the things that is widely noted about Dimash is that he has music to fit every style and preference. He has fans from birth to 99! In my case I have a young daughter who is 6 and is a Dear, along with a 17-year-old who loves Dimash's music. I also teach preschool and I have kids in my class ranging from 2 1/2 to 5 years old who constantly ask me to play Dimash for them; they like every song I play whether it's something like "Stanger" or a club banger like "Weekend"! It also doesn't matter to them what language it's in, they will ask for it (they love when he sings in Mandarin and Kazakh!) Keep checking him out, he doesn't disappoint. Dimash is an operatic master tenor but prefers to sing contemporary music. His range is the piano keyboard plus whistle tones and he has absolute pitch. Dimash has multiple music degrees and recently submitted his thesis for a PhD in Musicology. He also plays multiple instruments and sings in around 19 languages.
I think you this is the first time that you will find that you can't provide a branding perspective on an artist by watching only one song. You will see, that you MUST watch a minimum of five to six songs to even begin to get an idea of the broad singing capability and styles that Dimash has. He sings in multiple genres (contemporary, opera, pop, rock and the list goes on) and is creating his own genre he calls Neoclassical. Dimash is an independent artist. No big labels behind him. To release his own songs, he has DimashAli, his own company. So not big money to promoting his concerts, songs... Yes, he is handsome and has an elegant vibe... He has his own perfum brand. He is the face of some brands as OPPO cellphones and Excel cars... And clothes, as he is very tall (191cm)... Thanks for your great first reaction to Dimash, and your interesting remarks about branding! Dimash is a superstar in the East, but has never had any kind of "representation" as a singer in the West--even though he sold out Barclays Center in NYC in 2019 with fans coming from 68 countries. His "brand" is that he is the greatest vocal artist of our time. He can't be put in a box! His "team" is a close circle of friends and colleagues who are proud of his independent status. There's more than hype 😂 either you fall in love with his music or not. There's not much in between. He released a new Duet with Josè Placido Domingo on Friday night. This was his childhood dream since he was 5 years old, to sing with this amazing Tenor. Placido is 83 years now and changed to more baritone, so in this new duet Dimash sings baritone as well 😊 and it sounds absolutely gorgeous! I love Stranger!

Been following dimash since 2017 and he keeps on surprising me. Vocals are insane breath control insane. The clarity of his voice insane. I'm 75 yr young music has been in my life since I can remember never ever heard his style and singing Luke his in my life. He's number 1, for me. My favorite is watching Dimash's Stranger Concert in Almaty. His grand entrance to the stage was the best if any rock concert or theatrical production. The three hour concert is s must see. He delivers on so many fronts: wide vareity of music genres, great stage performance, heart wrenching short film and song called One Sky, amazing performance showcasing his multiple vocal range and style in his En Ti Amor. No wonder he is a Super Star in China and other parts of Asia. I think the US is missing out not recognizing his immense talent. There are Dears in the US but the younger crowd are swept up in other music styles to notice. There are Rap and Pop Artists that couldn't hold a candle to Dimash.

OY! I’m a 72 year old geezer from Northern California. I discovered Dimash a week ago and my new hobby is watching vocal trainers/coaches and musicians lose their shit while reacting to Dimash. Now my Mum was singing on the stage in Britain and gave private voice lessons in a Hollywood studio, so I’m not exactly a newcomer to operatic arias…….but this is another realm entirely. A C2 to an F6 + a D8 in whistle register is just……. otherworldly! The piano keyboard cannot contain his range. Simply phenomenal, and with such technical perfection!!! He is steps ahead in evolutionary development of sound production.
I’ve heard ‘the whistle’ He is amazing…. I’ve enjoyed listening to him for awhile now… going back and listening and watching all the ‘first time reactions’ - they are a riot. Yes, this man is a unicorn for sure! Such a phenomenal range - so happy he is getting more recognition. Such a hard working vocalist….truly one of a kind artist. 😊

... Dimash was here in america for World's Best reality competition... and when the producers lied to him and tried to trick him into competing against two minors he quit the show. I believe that is the reason he's not big here. I absolutely love him though was such a pleasure to discover him here on UA-cam during lockdown so I was late to the party so to speak discovering him

Dimash, born May 1994, 6ft. 3in. tall, sings in multiple languages, many genres, from opera to rock, to rap, to folk, to jazz, to, blues, to........anything he wants to.
Plays several instruments, 7.7 octaves, won his first piano competition at age 6, but concentration on his singing began at age 5, when he told his teachers the piano was out of tune. They then found out he has absolute pitch. He's been on stage since the age of 2, & knew right then that's where he wanted to be.
Highly educated with several university degrees in music, earning pretty much perfect scores, speaks 3 languages, & is learning Mandarin. He appeals to all age groups with whatever he sings, & that 2 stringed instrument in Stranger is call a Kobyz....ancient Kazakh instrument.

@@CFEntertains For me, it's a hype when people are artificially built up by the music industry and numerous teenagers worship the star, even though he couldn't sing without a recording studio. Dimash music is loved by all ages who have the ear and the feeling for sounds and skills. Not too long ago I heard S.O.S. (performance at Slavic Bazar) and Ave Maria (composition for him, event new wave) from him for the first time, and since then I have loved this voice.
Dimash’s fan base (his Dears as he calls us) is absolutely unique - from little children up to people in their 90s and literally from all over the world. People travel to his concerts so his audience is like the United Nations - consisting usually from people from over 60 countries coming together.
I remember his first concert in Europe - London - a man from the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan who sponsored the event being completely shocked not only by the number of countries the audience came from but that these people sang Dimash’s songs with him in Kazakh! He has the unique ability to bring people together, he is humble and respectful and a gentle human being and people love him because of that and not “just” his voice.
The instrument is called a Kobyz. It is an ancient and traditional instrument of Kazakhstan. It is made of one piece of wood, the strings are made of horse hair, and the cover over the body is made of goat skin. Dimash has a vocal range of 7 octaves and 2 semi-tones. He began his music studies at age five and now has several degrees, including a Ph.D. in music composition. He still does vocal training for 3-5 hours every day. Dimash said that since he was 2, he has never wanted to do anything but sing. There are no words to describe Dimash. He is humble and loves his family, country, and "Dears", the term he uses for his fans. You will be hard-pressed to try to define Dimash's style. I am 74 years of age, and I fell in love with Dimash when he first hit the scene appearing on the Chinese show "The Singer 2017. He only spoke Kazakh and Russian. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, and only had one week to learn each song. You have just begun a journey to music nirvana with Dimash. There is no one like him. He did a concert here in the States at the Barclay Center in New York, just before Covid hit. There were fans, pardon me, Dears from 47 States and 54 countries. What other artist can make that claim? I love your comments because you are so knowledgeable. Please check out Your Love, Love Is Like A Dream, Adagio, Ikanaide, Daybreak, and Unforgettable Day ( the Singer 2017 performance). Dimash wrote that song at 19. By the way, he sings in 14 languages. Whatever you choose next to react to, will not disappoint you.

I wanted to share my own perspective on something you mentioned at the beginning of your branding observations which is the makeup of Dimash's audience. One of the things that is widely noted about Dimash is that he has music to fit every style and preference. He has fans from birth to 99! In my case I have a young daughter who is 6 and is a Dear, along with a 17-year-old who loves Dimash's music. I also teach preschool and I have kids in my class ranging from 2 1/2 to 5 years old who constantly ask me to play Dimash for them; they like every song I play whether it's something like "Stanger" or a club banger like "Weekend"! It also doesn't matter to them what language it's in, they will ask for it (they love when he sings in Mandarin and Kazakh!)

John Bell, yep, found him on same year, been following since then. So lucky to be alive in this generation. After MJ just couldn’t stand any other artist until Dimash.
Dimash is an operatic master tenor but prefers to sing contemporary music. His range is the piano keyboard plus whistle tones and he has absolute pitch. Dimash has multiple music degrees and recently submitted his thesis for a PhD in Musicology. He also plays multiple instruments and sings in around 19 languages.

I think you this is the first time that you will find that you can't provide a branding perspective on an artist by watching only one song. You will see, that you MUST watch a minimum of five to six songs to even begin to get an idea of the broad singing capability and styles that Dimash has. He sings in multiple genres (contemporary, opera, pop, rock and the list goes on) and is creating his own genre he calls Neoclassical. Dimash is a superstar in the East, but has never had any kind of "representation" as a singer in the West--even though he sold out Barclays Center in NYC in 2019 with fans coming from 68 countries. His "brand" is that he is the greatest vocal artist of our time. He can't be put in a box! His "team" is a close circle of friends and colleagues who are proud of his independent status. There's more than hype 😂 either you fall in love with his music or not. There's not much in between. He released a new Duet with Josè Placido Domingo on Friday night. This was his childhood dream since he was 5 years old, to sing with this amazing Tenor. Placido is 83 years now and changed to more baritone, so in this new duet Dimash sings baritone as well 😊 and it sounds absolutely gorgeous! I love Stranger!

El es de Kazajistan, tiene 29 años, estudia canto desde los 5 años , su educación primaria y secundaria ha sido siempre en escuelas de música, es multi-instrumentista, es competente tocando piano, guitarra, teclado eléctrico, tambor, acordeón, marimba y dombra. Dimash domina el idioma kazajo y el ruso. Actualmente estudia inglés y mandarín. Sin embargo, esto no lo ha limitado para cantar en 15 idiomas, estudio en la Universidad Nacional de las Artes de Kazajstán, academia de Arte Pop. I'm 75 yr young music has been in my life since I can remember never ever heard his style and singing Luke his in my life. He's number 1, for me. My favorite is watching Dimash's Stranger Concert in Almaty. His grand entrance to the stage was the best if any rock concert or theatrical production. The three hour concert is s must see. He delivers on so many fronts: wide vareity of music genres, great stage performance, heart wrenching short film and song called One Sky, amazing performance showcasing his multiple vocal range and style in his En Ti Amor. No wonder he is a Super Star in China and other parts of Asia. I think the US is missing out not recognizing his immense talent. There are Dears in the US but the younger crowd are swept up in other music styles to notice. There are Rap and Pop Artists that couldn't hold a candle to Dimash.
