Such a lovely chat guys and well recorded. There's some beautiful backgrounds and you two capture the essence of less is more. So many videos forget the camino is about the fun of meeting people, even those thunderous snorers!
Earplugs are a godsent. =) Regarding early starts, I basically slept clothed, with my bed sheet only. (My sleeping bag was too warm.) In the morning it was 2 minutes to set off, and needed no packing. Protip, roll your things, dont fold them, you can pack tighter and easier. :) Love your videos!
I used ear plugs and a few glasses of wine when I went a couple years ago which really helped me sleep. I remember you guys said you don't drink so no worries there but ear plugs are a plus for albergues. It took a few days to get used to them but after half way through it was easy peasy. Enjoying the videos.
I wit you on the snorers. Keep me awake a couple of nights in a row and by the 3rd night I was so exhausted, I snored and kept everyone away. From then on it’s always a private room for me.
I’m with you on the snorers. Kept me awake for 3 nights in a row, and I became so exhausted that when I finally did sleep, I snored. From then on it’s always been a private room for me.
Unfortunately snoring is something that I would guess maybe 15-20% of people do. I usually leave a bag of ear plugs on a table or chair, as I'm in the 20%. The cost multiple means I can't really afford to do hotels more than once a week!
