    Hello guys! I saw your video on 2011, it was the first one I checked about the city where Friday the 13th was filmed. Now I am here, following the same tracks, for the evening Tour Camp of today (20\08). Eleven years later, concluding a dream. Thank you for the help and inspiration! Cheers from Brazil!

    Amazing video. I one day want to visit this location because it's so beautiful. And perhaps a different image many have of New Jersey. The locations in Blaristown look similar to those used in the 70's horror film Alice, Sweet Alice.

    The cabin used for Jack's and Ned's death scenes is called Sand Pond Lodge.
    Although it has been changed a lot over the years and the porch is gone.

    they told us a while back they are def doing a spring tour just no date announced yet. best way to keep in the loop is liking the FB page and theres a mailing list on the website.

  • @exnoctem

    As far as the lake goes... It's definitely sand pond at nobe. The scouts matched the screenshots to the reality perfectly. Somebody else was saying that it was filmed elsewhere... But IMO the work the scouts did was insane, they studied the blu ray and stills and found the approximate spot. As far as the tour goes, it looks really good that theyll do another one. Just "like" the tour page on Facebook... It'll keep you in the loop.

    actually yes, nobody knows exactly where the showers were but the consensus is that it was a set built in one of the bigger cabins. we matched up windows to the right building but sorry to say there is nothing leftover from the showers. the camps actual showers were not used in the movie.

    I know its not as cool, but I live in the town that Sleepaway Camp was filmed. It used to be an actual camp in the 1980s, but now is just people's summer camps.The lake is called Summit Lake, in the town of Argyle in Upstate NY. The Hudson Falls/Fort Edward police and ambulance vehicles were really from the 2 nearest towns since Argyle had no EMS at the time, and still has no police force.

    So Cool. Great job.
    Scene of so much innocent fun.... and creepy sound effects. Enough to last a lifetime.
    Its great that they have preserved it, for the most part. I've heard the site of the number II, was bought by some private party, and the buildings demolished. Like WTFs with that? How can you destroy something that should be landmark status?
    I vote Camp Nobebosco- Landmark status !

  • @exnoctem

    @Ccg1171, all of the locations are right there on the grounds. The only things gone are the cabin which Ned got killed(with the porch, it's fell into the lake) Laurie bartrams cabin and the one Alice and Steve fix the gutter on. The shower building is still there, but the showers themselves were a set. I totally recommend doing the tour the next time they do it. The scouts were amazing and it was worth every penny.

    @TKTnetwork yeah man, totally a guided tour. the camp did a one time fundraiser where they sold tickets for guided tours. was so totally well worth it, the scouts and camp were really great and really rolled out the red carpet. we also got carte blanche to see just about everything there.

    done and done! so awesome that they are indeed doing this again! i will be there :0) Exnoctem i got a question, you didnt show much of the boat house and its a area im curious about, does the side with the three doors, stairs and pillars where ned sees mrs voorhees still look the same ? also the area where claudette is singing with barry where is that area on camp?

    The best films for traveling to the filming locations are the horror movies, especially this one, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween. Whenever filming locations are at houses, they always interest me because they always fix them up to increase the value and they are always worth a ton. IMDB always tries to list the addresses so that helps when Google Mapping it or making videos for UA-cam.

    awesome tour guys! luv the parody of the certain scenes lol. I can see where Blairstown and Hope NJ are (on google earth) but where is Camp No Be Bo Sco aka Camp Crystal lake? Is it in Blairstown? Near There? I google earth it and it shows like 2 hours north of Blairstown. Where is it? How far from Blairstown?. I so want to go and visit the filming location of Friday the 13th (1980). Thanks again! big F13th fan.

    long story short...i had a LOT of footage, most of which wouldnt fit into youtubes 10min limit. thats why the archery range for instance only got a still photo at the end. the boathouse is still there and looks very similar still but the cabin where need sees Mrs Voorhees is gone. the told the story that in a storm the cabin literally fell into the lake and is still there to this day.

  • @alextoppo2870
    @alextoppo2870 11 років тому

    dude that's terrible news, i always thought he went into the boathouse sense they filmed it like he was until i realized it was a different cabin further down, which is the one your saying is gone :( but at least everything else is still there! can't wait to go! are you going on the next tour too?

    • @exnoctem
      @exnoctem  10 років тому +3

      Great point, and totally true. The showers at camp were NOT used in the movie. The showers in the movie are believed to be a set made during production. We were able to find with 90% certainty the shower building but it looks nothing like it does in the movie so I didn't include it.

    I didnt think about it until I started seeing these location videos. But I dont have a camera, I have an old laptop, I dont even have a vehicle right now. Dealing with medical issues has me out of work so once I get my shit together, I might just go get some film of it. I use to go out there all the time fishing. AdamTheWoo has a video of it on his channel, you should check him out. The camp itself is gone and its mostly private property, some of its blocked off.

    Hey this is the best video I've seen on the web as far as locating the different cabins.
    What is the name of the cabin that was used for Brenda's shower scene and Marcie's bathroom stall scene, and what is currently inside that one? What is the name of Kevin Bacon's bunk bed cabin and what is currently in that one?
    thanks

Would I have gone knowing it was the movie sight - probably. But only in the daytime. LOL Would I go if actual murders had occured there? Equivocally - NO!!!
