Hell Yes. This makes my year knowing AAA PS4 Adventure games are referencing their roots in the point-and-click genre.
Sam Adams I did enjoy the reference, in a videogame about pirates it's hard not to think about the (arguably) best loved one in gaming. Quite subtle but it's obvious to fans they're talking about Mr Threepwood!
@@DNTKNW1986 I love it and i Guybrush English voice actor I don’t if it’s the same for all 6 games but I know the first three it is (1 and 2 hd) I think 3 deserves hd remaster
@@DNTKNW1986 Took me embarassingly long to get the reference, even having played the Monkey Island games multiple times.
I recently got into the Monkey Island series, & knowing these references are in Uncharted 4 make me love the game 5 hundred times more.
Ah nice, I do like both series a lot so it was a pleasant surprise to see a few cheeky little nods to Monkey Island in there. The first two games are easily in my favourite point n' click adventures.

if you look at his portrait in the pirate colony it says his name is "Guy Wood"
After I played this game I sent Ron Gilbert a Tweet pointing out Guybrush was in Uncharted 4. His response was "You are the 10, 000th person to tell me this."
Ok so the timeline officially goes Monkey Island series, then Pirates of the Caribbean, then Sea of Thieves, then Uncharted.
Think about that.

Now I desperately want a game focusing on Chloe, Nadine, and Sam searching for Monkey Island or the treasure of either Guybrush Threepwood or LeChuck.
And, I'd want LeChuck to be the main antagonist, voiced once more by none other than Earl Boen.
But only with Ron Gilbert, Dave Grossman, Tim Schafer and Neil Druckmann writing the story. Although, I imagine it would be pretty hard to write a story the four of them would agree on. With Ron, Dave and Tim coming up with more hilarious stories, while Neil goes more for character dramas. But, he's a fan and I can only imagine that he'd be pretty excited to work with them; that, and he's said that writing jokes isn't really in his department, so this union would be perfect.
Plus, there's the fact that Disney currently owns the rights to Monkey Island and they haven't done anything with it since Tales from Monkey Island and the Remastered Editions.
I don't know about anybody else, but I just want a new Monkey Island game.

How is the Second Biggest Cistern a reference?
It's a nod to The Secret of Monkey Island where you find the giant stone monkey head and Guybrush says "That is the second biggest monkey head I've ever seen"

It's where Guybrush says "THAT is the second biggest monkey head I've ever seen" when you go to open the monkey head in order to free elaine.
It was a gag in Secret of Monkey Island that became a running Monkey Island gag.
This may sound out of context, but its also a reference to uncharted 3 where nate explores a bigger cistern.
