About:
In The Curse of Monkey Island Guybrush finds himself at sea floating on a bumper car. He ends up at Plunder Island where Elaine and LeChuck are battling. The battle ends with LeChuck being killed, but of course that doesn't stop him. Afterwards, Guybrush proposes to Elaine with a big diamond ing he found in LeChuck treasure hold. Elaine accepts, but as soon as she puts on the ring Guybrush learns that it is cursed and Elaine turns into a gold statue. Guybrush has to find a way to undo the curse on Elaine, but at the same time he has to battle LeChuck, who has returned from the dead and wants to marry Elaine.

If you ask Palido Domingo how long he's been sunbathing, he always gives the answer as 7 months before. So for example, you play the game in April, he'll say "September". If you play in August, he'll say "February" etc. But if you play the game in January, not only will he say "June", but he'll also say "Oh, and by the way, Happy New Year!".

I am so glad this game was released on GOG and Steam, now the new generations can enjoy this game.
Maybe I'm wrong but I vaguely recall that if you introduce yourself as "I'm guybrush threepwood, mighty pirate!" at every single opportunity (or maybe it was 30 times) guybrush will finally say "I'm guybrush threepwood yada yada yadda...Even I'm getting sick of saying it".
That's if you say it to Lemonhead, but only if you didn't choose that option when you first started the conversation.
Even after all these years, there's stuff I didn't know about in that game.

Also, if you hit all the ships in the cannon sequence without missing a single time, Guybrush will say "Perfect!" instead of "Hey, I'm getting pretty good at this!" And using the ventriloquist book on Murray in the swamp gets you some hilarious dialogue.
You can also use the book on Blondebeard, Kenny, the cabana boy, Slappy, Captain Rottingham - while he still has hair, Mr. Fossey, and you can try to use it on Palido, but he'll stop you.
in the beginning, if you destroy all the boats with your cannon without missing once, guybrush will say "perfect!"
When you're in the hold of the upside down ship and you clicked "drink" on the giant champagne bottle, the original release of the game had Guybrush say "Nah, champagne makes me all giggly"
All the nostalgia. This is one of the greatest games ever!
There's a few more you can do with Murray, like where you take him into the crypt with Stan and he asks you to put him on a body. Classic.
I do that one every time I play it.
These games were always great. I knew some of these but certainly not all (i.e. the heart on the cannonball).
The quote at 3:38 is itself a play on a controversial talking Barbie which spoke four random phrases at a time. The controversy? It originally included the phrase "Math class is tough!". X)

Guybrush always pushed the lift operator down the cliff, no matter how many times you failed to do the falling sequence. Even if you get it right the very first time, the sequence will play.

SUprised I've not seen anyone mention the Clocktower in Puerto Pollo... When guybrush looks at it he says the current time on your PC clock.... Blew my fucking MIND when I was 6/7 years old first playin haha

Hybridiot Or give chewing gum to Murray, also showing him his skeleton arm dipped in glue. Then there is the one when LeChuck captures you and talks to you before he turns you into a kiddo and you can reply with : " But, at what cost" in a James Tiberius Kirk style (Sorry for the incomplete answer, I really can't remember the dialogue well). There are a couple of more, but I can't remember them all. I didn't play CoMI for... too long xD

1:05 I didn't know that was supposed to be a secret, it was the first thing a did on my first playthrough.
You forgot about Guybrush's Ouch/Ah, Pappapisshu when he drinks the drinks at the Goodsoup hotel at the Pappapisshu clip.

Also in Plunder Island on the town square there is a watch tower and glocks will bell every half and full hour according to your operatin systen time.

The best game in my book.
This just brings back some damn good 90's memories. Smashing pumpkins, Mortal Kombat and Monkey Island 3.
Here's another funny one:
Find the helium balloons in the inventory and press T (or the parrot on the coin) and Guybrush will inhale it..the 1st time you do it he says "Hmm that's made my voice sound funny" and any other time after that he says "hmm"..his voice is squeaky for just under a minute, which is funny when he's talking to people! You can't do this in chapters 5&6 though, he just says "Maybe later" when you try to do that
It's not really a secret tho as it is part of one of the puzzles in the game.

If you take Murray's arm while he's still floating there, and then try to give it back, you'll hear a funny conversation. Also, you only have to pick up the ocean 26 times, to trigger the drowned Guybrush scene. And, if you look closely at the books in Mort's shack, one of them is Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

there is another glitch that immediatly crashes your game when you use the scissors with the dog on blood island.
where do you get the scissors though

That shift + j doesn´t work.
last time i played_there wasn´t line-you don´t wanna see my identification. And I coudn´t destroy forts
The option for the ID line disappears if you don't immediately pick it (ie you pick another dialogue option).
It only shows if you talk to him without having the membership card.
how to acess the menu? to save etc...
If you're using the SCUMMVM, it's f1 I believe. I know it's one of the f# keys for sure.
F5
For future people confused by "f5", it's f1 both in SCUMMVM and the original game. It was never f5.
Maybe try Fn + F1. That's how I do it on my laptop, because F1 alone adjusts volume.
In the current version of ScummVM (Windows) both F1 and F5 work. This was added for consistency, because almost all older Lucas adventures had F5 as their save/load menu key

The art style animation looks so much better here to there new game coming out in September called return to monkey island. This is what they should of gone with but better being with all the tech we now have and with ray tracing. It just feels like there going backwards with there new game and not really taking any advantage to what the visuals could of been but went with more of a basic style that isn't really that impressive to be honest but i love the Monkey Island 2 Special Edition visuals its more what i would say modern for it's time to how what could of been done with return to monkey island

Not sure if this is how it was done for the video, but I play MI3 with SCUMM VM because it's the only way it'll work on my computer (since the game was made to run on Windows 97 and mine's newer). You just need to have MI3 and download SCUMM vm for free. :-)
