I sure do love that Pete. It’s an awesome truck. I’m semi retired now after 35 + years. I ran lowboy and heavy haul for several years. I loved it better that anything else. Seeing your rig just kind of inspired me. You take care and truck em easy. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍❤️ By the way I’m subscribing.
Very impressive both, semi and trailer. You've done a great work. I'm mesmerizing the mightiness of this big rig and yet, the beauty of it. Great color. Congrats.
I wanna see the interior of the cab, looks damn roomy from the outside, the combo is really sweet, awesome trailer, I'm jealous, your a lucky man to run the roads with that rig!
Awesome rig buddy ... health to drive ,,, I was on long haul for 48 years Ireland to all of Europe including heavy haul ,,, I salute you and wish you well ,,, Dan from Ireland ,,,
I bet you probably are the happiest man in the world driving that absolutely wonderful outstanding beautiful piterbilt..I have to like this truck a million times 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Trailer is absolutely beautiful and a serious hauler . Have been driving Rigs for 37 years now. I would have ordered a Kenworth WL900 with a 605 bhp Cummins x 15 with same 2050 lbs torque I just find Kenworth more comfortable and a little more mechanically dependable. Peterbilt would be my second choice and believe it or not Western Star are very good as well. Only problem with WS is parts are more expensive and far fewer shops have trained level 5 mechanics that work on WS especially when it comes to warranty work . You really want to see heavy haulers go down to Southwest Australia. They have 1100 bhp Kenworth with Cat motors. They haul 5 53 ft mule trains absolutely crazy ! Those rigs would blow anything in North America away. They pull up to 395,000 lbs in 5 trailers total , just under 200 tones. P.S. It was very smart to order ALL DISC brakes on Rig and Trailer. Yes they cost more and get dust inside every where, but when you are hauling loads like this Discs compared to Drums stop at least 40% more efficiently !
I would agree... Having worked in the oilfields for 8 years now, I have driven, operated, and been around all the major truck and engine manufacturers and I would have to say that the KWs, particularly the C-500's and T-800's and Cats and Cummins hold up the best! The oilfields are the true proving grounds! Depending on their use they may power hydraulics and spend most of their lives tached out @1950 RPM for 2 weeks straight, and lucky if they see a oil change within the last 1500 hrs, run up and down dusty, muddy, icy, pot holed "roads" (Goat paths) plowed through fields and praries, drug up and down mud road by dozers and skidders all the while hauling 80,000-350,000# day after day , driven and or operated by people who don't care or know and start a truck or engine at 0* F and idle it up to 1600-2000 RPM or drive off before it's warm. Believe it or not many of these trucks will see the scrap yard with 25,000 hrs and 25,000 miles... KW's are tough!
I would love to have a truck like that and that truck and trailer combo are fantastic!! If I got those same specs the only difference is that I would might get a blue truck and trailer
Great motion picture. One can tell you love the truck and your job. I do like hearing about the truck specs and your thoughts around why this truck and trailer. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful truck and trailer! I admire those that take care of their equipment. Too many trucks and truckers out there with dirty parts falling off of them.
is the glider format going away or is it quietly sticking around....emission systems seem to be more trouble then there worth...thought the gov't was cracking down on them.....big fan of the glider concept....
@@madjack8031 Yeah as far as i know last year was it for gliders. Fitzgerald doesnt even mention building them anymore along with Paccar saying they are not offering them. Interesting
@@scottbaker1018 ...crazy thing is the carbon foot print on these new emission trucks aren't as good as people think,,,they don't last as long.therefore they build more trucks or rebuild engines a lot earlier then non-emission truck....oh well, ...Cheers!
@@madjack8031 Yep i know. I was a tech at a pete dealership and dealt with all of it from the start. Lots the average customer will never know about issues that were just smoothed over.
You truck drivers always think you have a great deal of weight. Your overload does not equate to a emty weight rail car. Rail cars are routinely 280,000 lbs. Your toy tractors are just toys. You think they are heavy weights, you are nothing compared to ,railroad loading. check it out numbnuts.
Beautiful rig and great video. As far as truck choice. Personal preference. I like both. KW and Pete. I did OTR from 1999-2002. Now work for Caltrans as a operator
Coming into my next of the woods The D. MDOT IS OUT HEAVY so keep an eye out for the smokies. Nice rig driver just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more great content.

Triple axel trailer 5 1/2 hp honda generator for the hydraulics and detachable goose neck with air slide and air assisted neck pin locks. I hauled exclusively for Caterpillar for years then went into gov. Military freight and NASA equipment hauls. Hands down that trailer you have is the jack stuff man. I didn't have all those other additions you have. Awesome Set up. I'm retired now after spending decades hauling heavy OD/OS since 1978. Retired 2018. Good luck to ya. Thanks for posting this video.
