How the fuck is she no blowing up all over the world!?! This band destroys what I hear on the radio. They are amazing.
It is incomprehensible actually there is so much talent out there Halestorm, TPR, five Finger to girls singing symphonic in cabins (Minniva) she will blow you away, trying to be discovered. Yet we get the trash on the radio, I don't blame the singers its formula what sells to a marketing model. Talk to people about Tarja, Amy Lee or Floor and they go who. Thank God for You Tube.

She was getting her masters in vocal performance (more like classical/opera things). Her main career wasn't going to be vocal lessons. If I didn't like that kind of music then I wouldn't want to hear it coming from a student. No big deal, honestly. And if someone couldn't get it right away then they would be ruining their voice. I'm curious what the difference is, but all I do is think of a screaming child. I think you just have to have full lung capacity and be way open/relaxed. But I mean harder screaming type things, not Lzzy type things.
I love that more and more bands are using UA-cam to get their music out to the public. A few months ago, I was waiting for the next Foo Fighters video. Now I can't wait for the next Halestorm song.

MOST bands from all over the professional spectrum have been using youtube for about a decade. I have no idea what you're talking about.
***** most bands don't upload their songs to their own UA-cam channel before the actual album release. Most bands release a music video to a VEVO channel a couple of months later.
Halestorm is promoting the album's diversity, which I think is a good idea they way they're doing it. There's a line where making music too available will risk sales, some people won't care to buy an album they already have access to. Some bands go about it differently than others. But its always exciting when artists give some early access.

You know how a lot of bands maintain the same basic sound from one song or album to the next? Yeah...Halestorm doesn't follow that formula. It seems like they always manage to reinvent their sound in every track. I love how they take elements of classic rock, southern rock, country, blues, and metal and make them into something new and ass kicking! Can I get an amen?!
I totally agree, everything is different and works exactly for them to create something amazing and this is not the way I expected them to go but I'm surprised and super excited for the album now, its a great surprising difference musically from their previous records so far, and I will gladly go to many rock shows to come

Lzzy Hale women have improved the hard rock and heavy metal sound. What musicians like Lzzy Hale, Floor Jansen, Angela Gossow and probably several dozen other women are doing as musicians in this genre is blowing my mind. These current women are role models and just imagine what the future generation of female hard rock and heavy metal musicians are going to bring to this genre.
I will give this woman one thing. "SHE SINGS WITH CONVICTION" with every thing she sings. I like this woman a lot.

This song means a lot to me. I get criticized a lot for my art, the way I dress, the music I like. Whenever I get upset by everyone treating me like that I listen to this and Freak Like Me, and it always restores my confidence in my own quirky self
It's good to be different! :) we're unique and the people who treat us badly are just jealous that we're so comfortable with being our unique selves. I've been criticised as well, so I know how you feel. It's best to ignore it and keep being you, whoever you choose to be! Also, I recommend listening to "Strange Girl" from Halestorm's new album if you haven't already, it's quite relatable :)

Funny thought ... "pop" is only a general term for "popular" music, and is a very loose term that's best defined as the type of music that dominates the commercial charts ... so if rock / metal became more popular and more prevelant in the charts then it would, by definition, actually have to be called "pop" as well. We'd have to find another name for the beiber-esque stuff ... any suggestions??

@FriedChicken She is better and has more vocal range and depth than Carrie Underwood as well as lung capacity while singing. Halestorm has been around longer than Carrie Underwoods been making music and is not an industry plant like Carrie.

Boring, repetitive, the whole album is a Nickleback album that gets slightly better only thanks to Lzzy voice but honestly this is just a nice boxed product to sell, there's no art, no passion, no soul. Fans will like everything they do no matter what, other people will love it because it is basically pop with guitars, who likes rock\metal will delete Halestorm by any playlist from time being.

Nat Sax I did, honestly first two album were nice, into the wild life on the other hand is not so good. A well executed homework, something easy to listen in melodies and structures that would sell well on a large demographic including non hard rock\metal oriented, nothing to be impressed by.
If nickleback sounds too harsh for you then 2000 ongoing Bon Jovi is another good parallel. But hey, this is just how it sounds to me, someone who has been to more metal festivals than birthday parties, so opinions may differ largely.

One of the unique things about her voice and the way she expresses herself in these music videos is that YOU can see EVERYTHING she is feeling when she sings these songs, and even feel it for yourself to a degree. This amazing woman pours EVERYTHING she is into her and her band's music, and it MORE then shows too. You truly always touch this rocker's heart and soul Lzzy, right down to the very core itself. Ya know. All these people complaining need to learn a thing or two about artists. Especially musicians. Their "art" is based on inspiration, aka, life events most of the times and personal thoughts / opinions over stuff put in lyrics and music. Also rock is and will always be a rebel kind of music. Halestorm hasn't changed that one bit. Sure, they sound "a little diferent" but experimenting and change is nice. Sometimes it sucks, but I think their doing pretty damn well. People who think this song is Halestorm making "Christian Rock" need to learn what analogies are and how they're used in a literary sense (and songwriting is literature). They're using Christian imagery as a metaphor (which they also used in "I'm Not An Angel") as many writers do. "Locked Out of Heaven" by Bruno Mars is also not a Christian song.
And given the lyrics "life is gonna kill / faith is gonna blind /faith is gonna fade / and truth is gonna blind / sometimes there's no reason / to justify the meaning" which paint a pretty non-Christian image of the world. They're basically saying the world is fucked up but they're going to keep on trucking because of their life/love/sex/drug/lust/grace/church (which, given their previous oeuvre, is almost certainly rock music).
Now, as you may or may not remember, that world view is certainly more fitting in with Sartre than Liebniz, i.e. this song expresses way more of an existentialist viewpoint than anything approaching traditional Christian thought (though it certainly isn't impossible to marry the two philosophies).
TL:DR this song uses Christian imagery to express a worldview that's more cynical than celestial.
P.S. The use of the neon cross at the end is a rather cute bit of symbolism, they escaped from their 'real' lives to find solace in rock n' roll at what is effectively a musical mass. Their God is music, and that grungy building is it's church.
