Love this! I'm 100% service connected disabled Veteran for PTSD/Depression and some injuries. I was an Army Medic, then a Navy Corpsman after the Army. I struggle with the Depression alot at certain times of the year around anniversaries of incidents. But one thing they never did diagnose me with is Imposter Syndrome, and I feel like I have it. I've always struggled with feelings of unworthiness and just dumb luck due to my service situation and status. But on a lighter note, this song has kinda helped me rise out of the funk I'm in right now. Something about the theme of mental illness and heavy guitars and a powerful female vocalist just kicks my ass to get up, get out, live life. Thank you for this song and collaboration. I feel better now that I've heard it. Definitely brought a tear to this old Soldiers eye. God Bless.

Lzzy Hale remains the best female voice in hard rock we have nowadays. Like so many, I can only wonder why she and Halestorm did not explode and become as big as Guns 'n' Roses or Bon Jovi or similar bands.
Market, timing, many factors. GnR first album didn't chart well at all. Pre-Internet era. But once "Welcome to the Jungle" hit MTV, it was so fresh, so raw, so rebellious, every teen watching that video gobbled it up. I remember the moment. Goosebumps and spine-tingling when that skinny dude with wild crazy hair let out that howl and scream in the intro. That was a big breakthrough. I think Halestorm has more talent than GnR, so it just goes to show talent alone will not achieve success. The music industry is brutal and unfair on its best days.
