If you look at this with "anime trope", Thor is the one with the "MC" status:
- Was fighting for his family, home and friends, typical anime power up;
- Had "rage mode" which gives stupid amounts of physical buffs in anime;
- Was the underdog of the fight, more "mental fortitude";
- Redemption arc, another buff;
- Final trade of blows against foe, always were the MC somehow wins by giving his all;
- Dead sons and brother, ANOTHER typical power boost;
- Dead mother.
All of this kind of also aplays to kratos if you think about it
@@I_got_here I'd say Kratos is even more sad because he was tricked into killing his wife and daughter, his mother was turned into a monster, his brother was taken away when kids then he found him again just for his brother to be killed a few seconds later, he father was Zeus, and he just barely lost another wife.
