does pressure & release work for them like with horses, and would a camel read the handler like a trained horse? so many wonders, are they similar to mustangs in that they are feral versions of domesticated camels? and so rather trainable?
Very different from horses in many ways but the principal of training can be similar when working large animals camel's are very intelligent animals and often outsmart handlers, bit the constant and routine work is the best fun to train once you know Thier tricks
He was doing a bit of pressure and release if you noticed (whether intentional or not). When he waved his arm beside the camel (pressure) until he settled then stopped (released) then repeat 😊
Camel's can read you very well they are extremely intelligent very different from a horse in alot of ways, pressure release does work for the camel especially in the initial training

Hello, I don't want to question the way you train the camelس, but you have to beware of the big males because they hate and don't forget because they may betray you
This can be true but if you see how respect is earned in a wild camel herd you understand how to be a respected leader with them I have worked bull camel's for 25 years and formed a great relationship with them and have never been threatened by them

Or just leave it alone? I hate hobbling, and it just looked uncomfortable the entire time. For fuck's sakes, we don't need to tame and ride everything. This wasn't "training," but rather flooding an animal to exhaustion, to the point where it's just going to let you do anything to it. Animals aren't slaves. They should be made into friends, not machines.

Can’t tell you how much I needed to know this. I do visit DETROIT MICHIGAN a lot.
Beautiful animals Luke, very well detailed explanation and content, thanks and take care!
Thanks they are a special animal for sure
So once trained and you’re working him how do they react to coming across other wild camels especially rutting bulls?
Dude! It does not look like this animal is ready to be handled. You need to befriend him first so he trusts you. He will be a lot more cooperative!
It's a bull camel they are a very different beast I've posted a new vid you can see how this method works best for bulls
So the camels can roar......... Good to know.
