Luke Campbell Adventures
Australia
Приєднався 9 жов 2023
Welcome to "Luke Campbell Adventures”. From camel treks to crocodile conservation, Luke's adventures are as diverse as they are awe-inspiring.
Luke's exploration has traversed Australia on numerous expeditions. Notably, Luke's camel trek, spanning half the continent and two deserts, remains a testament to his daring spirit.
In Broome, Luke forged a deep friendship with the late Malcolm Douglas, a kindred spirit, and their six-year collaboration saw them venture into the most remote corners of the Kimberley coast to film Malcolm’s final masterpiece, "The Wild and Dangerous Kimberley Coast. Malcolm also taught Luke the handling of Australian saltwater crocodiles where Luke continues to help with their capture and relocation.
Today, Luke is back exploring Central Australia by camel. Witness him as he trains these majestic creatures to traverse Alice Springs and beyond.
Subscribe to "Luke Campbell Adventures" to accompany Luke explore the untouched beauty of Australia's wilderness.
Camel expedition. Part 24. Edge of the Desert.
Through the spinifex we head north to De Grey River at jewel in the desert where water is found. A wild pig joints us for the night ‘lured in by the smell of Lu’s homemade bread. After replenishing supplies we head north to Shay Gap, are remote range surrounded by desolate landscape. Food now becomes harder to find for the camels. And camps are picked accordingly. With under a 100 km to the coast our hardest stretch is now upon us.

Переглядів 1,6 тис.5 місяців тому
When traveling with camels on a long expedition it’s important to pick the right camp every day. Good feed and soft ground is what we look for and water where possible. Water is few and far between in a remote parts of Australia and doing 20 to 30 kms a day it is a continual search for these things. Camels don’t need water every day as the right trees give them enough moisture to get them throu...

These photos come from The West Australian museum and being out here on the camel expedition gives us a good look into the past where camels were used as a main transport in opening up 80% of Australian interior. He also gives us a hand in loading big Jama onto the trailer as he has a sore foo...

After an interview with Television 4WD show, we load some swags onto Mr. Gray and head into the stony hills of the Pingandy Road. Camel camps are hard to find on this stretch, and we arrive after dark at the abandoned homestead. Although this track is extremely hard on both man and animal, the scenery is exceptional as we head north towards the Pilbara region. #offgrid #survival #abandoned #camel

May I ask, what is that lovely guitar music you use often in yr videos, and who is the composer? Want to buy it on itunes.
Hello from Florida, USA! These are informative videos, thank you. I'm currently looking for a camel or two to add to our farm. I absolutely love the camelids.
how long have you been with camels if i may ask . terry
it must be a lot of fun mate , i,ve seen many out back films but the only one i. found other than you was bush tucker , but that bread look great we used to make it but too old now so i,ll sit back and enjoy your show .👍keep em coming terry
I like your patience, you are not rushing them and giving them some time to figure it out. What I didn't like is that trailer is too small. It is hard them to turn there and go back. I think its time to buy a bigger trailer for you 😊 Something more safe more wide.
This is a great content. Greetings from Turkey. I love Camels. They are pretty smart animals. It was cool to watch how you trained them.
Tough land, tough animals, tough people.
Crocodile Dundee? Nah mate, thats Camel Campbell!🐫🐪🤙

Good to see the Camel Farm again. Legendary John H ad from Desert Dwellers. "If we don't have it, you don't need it".

Very interesting interaction with the pig . Was it Munjie and why did they stay so still ? Was there any possibility of the pig biting the camel ? And love the very close facial interaction of Little Mis Black and Munjie …… she obviously adores him .
Those new swags doing the job Luke !
Great vid again guys....

Miss Black is such a sweet camel. You've done a great job with all of them, mate 😎

Just love how you have 'the boys' operating. They seem so content. You are almost somewhere I'll recognise again - Shay gap Rd & the crossing of the De Grey river (at Mulyie Station?). I'll be so pleased for you when you reach Broome, but sad too that the journey I've shared with you is over. Best to Ludmilla too.
Just catching up with you again. Another 'good'un mate.
